Hi! I'm Maurice Moss and I'm known as the 'computer-man'. I used to work for Reynholm Industries, but I've now left since I got a job offer from Scotland Yard to work in their IT department! if you have any technical problems, don't be afraid to get in contact. ((AU! Maurice Moss roleplay blog! I am not associated with Channel 4 nor the creators of 'The IT Crowd'. Will roleplay with anyone and everyone. Linked to Sherlock fandom in particular. ))

Moss being uncomfortable in the courtroom (The IT Crowd - 04x06)
“I’ve not had good experiences with the legal system. Well, when I was 11, I broke the patio window, and my mother sued me. I’m still paying costs.”

Higher Ambitions || Pepper & Moss
From day one, Moss had always dreamed of something more than just working in the IT department. It was an amazing job, no one could deny that, but the male just craved something more; something challenging! Sitting in a basement and waiting for a call wasn't fulfilling anymore, and whilst that made Moss a little sad that he was feeling this way, it meant that it would drive him to achieve more.
It was the week before his departure that Moss had received an email from a company he'd been keeping his eyes on since day one. They'd developed massively over the past few years and, well, the male had a keen eye on trying to get a job there. Their IT department would have been a hell of a lot more vast than the one he was working in, and maybe he'd get noticed. Of course, Moss knew there was a high chance of him not obtaining a job, but he could still hope, right?
And hoping seemed to do the trick. Upon reading the email, all Moss could do was smile, and that smile continued to grow as he read on and on. He'd got an interview. Maybe it was stupid to go out of the country just for an interview, but he wanted this job, and he wanted it badly. He'd go to the end of the Earth and back just to get it.
***
The week after and he was sat still and silent with a large grin on his face in the reception. The person interviewing him had been informed of his arrival (or so the lady at the desk had said) and now he just had to wait until they were ready for him. The male straightened his tie and swallowed his nerves. He had no need to be so jittery and nervous; he could do this, he could definitely do this.
"Mister M. Moss?" The receptionist called out shortly after a beep sounded from her phone.
Moss looked up and smiled, holding a hand up to signal it was him. "T-That's me! Hi, hello! You took my name earlier... so you should have known it was me." He paused, "Not that it matters. That's alright!" He chuckled a little sheepishly as the female rolled her eyes, moving from her seat and gesturing for Moss to follow her. "Good luck with your interview, sir" She muttered as they drew to a stop just outside a lone door. Moss looked around at his surroundings before nodding his head and smiling at the woman, "Thank you very much."
With that, he opened the door and rested his eyes on the ginger woman behind another desk. Was this place only run by women? Moss was starting to feel like the odd one out here. The male smiled a little before closing the door and slowly making his way to the seat designated for him. It was just as he opened his mouth that he'd remember what Roy had told him once, before he left his first job, 'Only speak when you're spoken to in an interview, Moss, you don't want to knock your chances as soon as you walk in. Business-workers are miserable gits; you burst in with sunshine and they'll shoot you straight in the balls.'

"Lizzie? I don't think I've met someone with the name Lizzie before. It's an absolute pleasure, Lizzie!"

"Would you be able to tell me where I am? I think I'm a little lost..."

“Maurice Moss, but people call me Moss.”

“Well it’s a pleasure to meet you Moss!” She said with a smile. “I’m Lizzie.”

Moss keeps an eye on the other, a little confused as to why she was here. Who only passes through an IT department in a police station? Did she even know where she was? "How can you only be passing through a police station? The IT department of a police station in fact." The male inquired, "It just doesn't make any sense to me."

Moss blinked at the female, her rudeness taking him back just a little bit. Of course, he was used to it from his last job, but it still struck him. Maybe he just had too much faith in believing that everyone was nice in these parts. “Well, a-alright. It’s… probably not a pleasure to meet you either, Christie.” The male responded, “Is there a reason you are here? Computer problems?”

“Sprouts?”

“I’ve… Never heard of that store, I’m sorry.”
“It’s totally okay! What’s your name?”
