No One Is Coming to Save You
You’re not paranoid. You’re awake. There is a war coming. Not a metaphorical one. A literal one. It’s already here in fragments. Crackdowns on students. Censorship bills passed overnight. Drones flying over your city. Biometric surveillance in your pocket disguised as “safety.” Tanks in the streets of Palestine. Mining companies turning forests into graveyards. The police training in Israel and coming back to treat every protestor like a terrorist. You can feel it. The masks are slipping. The empire is prepping for collapse and it’s taking us all with it unless we get serious, right now.
This isn't just about being angry online or quoting Marx on a t-shirt. This is about survival. This is about learning what the revolutionaries before us actually did when faced with the full crushing force of a decaying empire. Lenin didn’t wait for a savior. Mao didn’t wait for parliament. The Black Panthers didn’t wait for allies. They read. They trained. They organized. They armed. They built dual power. And if you think you can wait it out while the world burns, you’re already lost.
You have to read. Start there. Read Marx. Not just the Manifesto. Read Capital. Read Lenin. State and Revolution. What Is To Be Done. Read Mao. On Guerrilla Warfare. On Practice. On Contradiction. Read Fanon. The Wretched of the Earth will gut you and build you anew. Read Cabral. Read the history of the Naxalites. Read how the Zapatistas operate. Read about the Viet Minh. The Algerian resistance. The Spanish CNT. Read the Panthers. Study how they operated clinics. Breakfast programs. Armed patrols. Learn why the state called them the biggest domestic threat and murdered them in their beds. Read the Rojava revolution. Read what real democratic confederalism looks like under siege.
Then disappear. I don’t mean run away. I mean become invisible to the state. Don’t tweet your location. Don’t tell everyone your plans. Don’t post every rally selfie with your face in it. This isn’t a clout game. The feds are watching. The cops are in your Discord. The platform isn’t neutral. Start using Signal. Encrypt everything. Learn OPSEC. Burn your old phone. Don’t keep weapons in your house where they’re expected. The state has night vision. Drones. Facial recognition. You're not going to win with chants and idealism. You need discipline. You need structure. You need to vanish into the terrain like ghosts.
Build dual power. That means creating alternatives to everything the system gives you. Feed your people. Clothe them. Heal them. Educate them. House them. Train them. Make the state irrelevant. That’s how the revolution wins. Not just with bullets. But by building new institutions beneath the old ones. And yes. You will need force. No empire has ever crumbled peacefully. They will bomb you. Jail you. Starve you. Isolate you. So learn guerrilla warfare. Study Che. Study Giap. Understand terrain. Communication. Sabotage. Learn how to move without being seen. How to supply without being tracked. How to strike and vanish.
You’ll need a political wing and a military wing. You’ll need your own logistics. Your own printing press. Your own clinics. Your own safehouses. The old Left knew this. That’s why they lasted. You’re not fighting a liberal government. You’re fighting an imperial machine that has experimented on Black people. Napalmed Vietnamese children. Armed death squads in Latin America. Funded apartheid. Trained dictators. Dropped atomic bombs on civilians not once but twice. You think they’ll hesitate to kill you. You think they’ll blink if you get too loud.
This system is not malfunctioning. It’s working exactly as intended. Capitalism is a war economy. It devours the Earth. Pits workers against each other. Sells them weapons to die with. And when people resist. It sends in riot cops. Drones. Sanctions. It doesn’t care about rights. It doesn’t care about truth. It only cares about extraction and control.
But empires rot. They always do. Rome fell. The British Empire fell. America is falling. Internally collapsing from fentanyl. Debt. School shootings. Climate disaster. Rent hikes. Political rot. And when it does. It will drag everyone with it unless we are organized enough to survive the crash and replace it with something better. Not a rebrand. Not a new liberal party. A complete rupture. A new world.
So prepare. Not in fear. But in clarity. Build your community. Train in self-defense. Learn first aid. Stock supplies. Network with others. Study theory like your life depends on it. Because it does. Join or form a cadre. Educate the people. Speak to workers. Understand your enemy. Destroy liberal illusions. No one is coming to save you.
Either you build the revolution or you die in the collapse. The clock is ticking. Choose your side.

no you have to contribute to your fandom if you don't want it to die. most fandoms die because people say 'it's so sad watching the fandom die when the hype dies' without doing anything about it. I'm not saying you have to push out 100k word slow-burn fic, I'm not saying you have to make fan art or gif sets or edits or anything. I'm just saying we as a community should contribute to our fandom if we don't want it to die, and by contributing, I'm talking about giving kudos, commenting on your favorite fics, reblogging your favorite art and just talking about your favorite characters. that's enough to keep a fandom alive. that's the most effective way to keep a fandom alive in my humble opinion.
fandoms die because people stop talking about it, fandoms die because people stop engaging with fan content once the hype is gone. what I'm saying is, mainstream media's hype may be gone, but our fandom can stay alive and thriving if us as a community don't let it die.

Okay let me add my five cents to the Zaunite au, where Viktor didn’t make it to the academy and remained in Zaun.
He was trying to invent on his own, but he desperately needed money for his research. And that’s when Silco appeared…

Today’s Special: Honey Lavender Latte
Today’s general message is brought to you by the Upright Strength, the Upright Lovers, and the Upright Four of Swords.
Today’s energy could use an honey lavender latte. While honey often signifies things like fertility and prosperity, it’s also related to emotional and behavioral changes. Lavender is good for healing and calmness. Today may have some twists and turns, so, it may do you good to sit with this warm, sweet yet calming, drink and ponder your options.
The Strength is a signal of determination, power, and your inner strength. Today you may feel energized with instinctual energy, but keep in mind that it’s what you do with this energy that will make a difference in how your day will go. Be conscious of instinctual urges and bring them into balance with your values and goals. Approach situations with love and compassion, rather than gut reactive rage or raw hatred.
Following this card is the Lovers. While this card typically pulls for romance, it can also simply represent close friends or familial relations where love, respect, and care will flow easily. Today you may be feeling clarity when it comes to your beliefs and values, despite moral dilemmas with oncoming decisions you may need to make. Combined with Strength, choose the best version of yourself and unify your dualities. There will be an equal amount of positivity and negativity, advantage and disadvantage, accept that.
The last card is the Four of Swords. Today you may feel the need for seclusion to gather your thoughts and feelings regarding a situation. Solitude may be what is necessary for you to recharge and rejuvenate, growing your inner strength and confidence. While you may feel a boost today, as shown with Strength, you may have a lot of thinking to do about the choices that you may have to make as shown by the Lovers. The Four of Swords asks you to look inward for a real change, review your progress thus far, and reflect on how you can craft the best version of yourself.

Planned Parenthood got LOUDR 🔊 @ Tumblr
WHO THEY ARE:
Planned Parenthood’s mission is to ensure all people have access to the care and resources they need to make informed decisions about their bodies, their lives, and their futures. Founded in 1916, Planned Parenthood is a trusted health care provider, educator, and passionate advocate in the U.S. as well as a strong partner to health and rights organizations around the world. Each year, Planned Parenthood delivers vital sexual and reproductive health care, sex education, and information to millions of people.
WHAT THEY DID:
🩺 On October 1, 2021, Planned Parenthood partnered with Tumblr to rally supporters for abortion justice and defend access to abortions at 539 rallies in every state.
🩺 On September 3, 2021, Tumblr and Planned Parenthood partnered up in response to a Texas law that came into effect September 1, S.B. 8., effectively banning abortion in the state and asking private citizens to act as bounty hunters who “enforce” the law.

The United States government doesn’t have to take the position of sending people to work and school to their deaths and absolutely ensuring an explosion of breakthrough infections while saying “well it’s your fault if the conditions for mass infection we’ve laid out through our laissez-faire public health policies designed to extract the maximum amount of profit during a crisis kills you”.
This is the issue with taking a totally individualist perspective on the pandemic that blames conspiratorial individuals for not taking the right health measures. It completely ignores the whole role of the state which has deliberately prevented any kind of strict measures that would’ve saved lives because it would disrupt business too much and would empower workers and poor through aid. By placing all the focus and blame on anti-vaxxers we miss that we wouldn’t be in this position if the United States government cared more about global public health than its ability to profit while people en mass die. The anti-vaxxers play a role but it would’ve been a far more minor one if we didn’t have exclusionary patent laws that are allowing the virus to mutate in the regions of the world with the least access to vaccines (despite wanting them!) and if the state was unafraid of angering business by putting into place robust stay at home policies where we pay and deliver food to people to keep them at home.
The United States government is going out of its way to choose the most cruel policy positions during this crisis and have successfully gotten many people to shift blame from the most powerful agent in the situation to a bunch of idiots who are coughing to death because they think microchips can fit into a needle. Congratulations on swallowing that propaganda whole heartedly.

PSA regarding tumblr’s latest Censorship Nightmare
For those of you who haven’t seen this announcement, tumblr recently made some changes to the iOS version of the app, purportedly to comply with Apple’s content guidelines. These changes took effect on Dec 21, starting in version 22.5.1 of the iOS app. As some of you may recall, Apple’s strict guidelines were the driving force for the infamous Great Purge of 2018, which coincidentally also happened around this time of year, but it seems banning all of the female-presenting nipples wasn’t good enough for Apple.
Below is a summary of the important changes. Note that these changes technically ONLY affect those using the iOS app. If you’re accessing tumblr through a different app or operating system (Google Chrome, Android app, etc) it won’t affect you directly but it will affect your followers who use iOS so you should definitely be aware of it.
The list of banned tags has been expanded. As before, there’s no way to know which words or phrases have been banned until you try searching for them, in which case you’ll either get no search results or the following message: “This content has been hidden because of potentially suggestive or explicit content.” You may think this doesn’t concern you if you don’t post explicit material, but do not make the mistake of expecting the banned tags to be logical or reasonable. I’ve already encountered multiple completely innocuous posts (random fandom gifsets) that seem to be hidden on iOS for no discernible reason.
Blogs that have been flagged as explicit can no longer be viewed. Previously, flagged blogs just had their posts hidden from searches, but if you knew the username you could still visit it after clicking through a warning about sensitive content. Now you can’t access it at all.
Likes and reblogs from blogs that have been flagged will no longer show up in your notes. This one won’t affect most people’s user experience as much as the others, but it does mean you may be missing notes. It’s unclear if likes and reblogs from flagged blogs will still count towards the overall note total (and only be missing from the activity feed and note viewer) but I suspect that’s the case.
THE BIG ONE: ANY POST TAGGED WITH A BANNED TAG WILL NO LONGER SHOW UP ON YOUR DASHBOARD. Previously, if you tagged a post with a banned word or phrase (even if the words were used inside another tag), that post would not show up in searches, but your followers would still be able to see it on their dashboard. Now those posts are hidden from your own followers as well. This includes both original posts and reblogs. And if that wasn’t bad enough, here’s the real kicker: even if you don’t tag something with one of the banned words, if the OP used a banned tag, any reblogs of that post will not show up on anyone’s dashboard (on the iOS app). The only saving grace here, and I hate to even call it that, is that the blocked posts are still visible if you visit a blog directly or if you have post notifications turned on.
As usual, tumblr was extremely unclear and evasive about all of this in their official announcement. Not surprising, of course, since if more people were aware of these new draconian tactics I can’t imagine there wouldn’t be more of an uproar about it. Tumblr claims that these changes are somewhat temporary and that they are currently working on something that will allow for a less restricted iOS experience, but they refuse to say what that something is and when it will be implemented. And let’s just say, considering their track record, I’m not hopeful.
All of this is horrible and infuriating for many reasons, but the worst part is how insanely counterproductive it is to creating the “safe” environment tumblr (or more specifically Apple) supposedly wants.
Tags have always been used for both blog organization and filtering purposes. Tagging posts with triggers and content warnings is a common practice that gives users the ability to filter out content they may find upsetting or just don’t don’t want to see for whatever reason. By choosing to ban a bunch of unlisted “sensitive content” tags, all they’re doing is encouraging people who want to share that kind of content to come up with alternative less well-known tags or simply not tag that content at all anymore if they want it to show up on their follower’s dashboards, thereby making it more likely for someone to encounter it when they didn’t want to.
So really, with all of the alleged concern for safety and “protecting the children,” all they’ve done is make tumblr less safe for everyone. Typical.
