It was not supposed to end up like this. She swore to everyone that she was doing fine now. she was fine now. After years of anxiety meds, she was doing a lot better now. Then why was she crouched down under her desk trying to calm her beating heart?

It was beating so fast that Ivy thinks it’d pop right out any second now. She's been trying to calm down for the last half hour. She's tried every method in the book, every exercise her therapist had taught her, but nothing. 

She’s going to be so disappointed in me, Ivy thinks and instantly regrets it as her heart picks up even more pace now, which she didn’t know was even possible. Suddenly, she feels claustrophobic and now she can’t breathe.

Great she thinks. She closes her eyes and with a hand on her chest, she tries again to calm down as she rests her head on the wall. Every one of her breaths feel shaky and short by the second as she’s trying to breathe in and out, and she feels out of control now.

There’s nothing more left to try and she can’t find her phone to even call anyone for help now. She curses herself mentally that her stubborn self wanted to work at 3 in the morning where there was almost nobody in the building. 

Small breaths jen, she says to herself but it seems like it falls on deaf ears. She can’t even hear herself anymore, she can’t feel her surroundings and she can’t focus on anything other than her heart running and nothing else.

She doesn’t hear the door open and the feeling of her husband’s hand on her shaking body. She hears his voice faintly and she wants to respond but it feels as if she’s forgotten how to speak. She wants to open her eyes and look at him but she can’t, she feels stuck. She wants to scream, she wants to shout, she wants to sob but nothing comes out of her. 

Yeonjun was not expecting to find her beneath her table, shaking like a leaf with her eyes closed. He doesn't even know how he got to her side so fast, but there he was, slowly rubbing on her arm, trying to calm her down somehow. He knows how bad her panic attacks can get and he just wants to help her.

Look at me baby you’re okay he pleads with her, trying his best to make her look at him and to calm her down.

He keeps on repeating you’re okay baby, for a good few minutes and after what feels like an eternity to the both of them, she opens her eyes and as soon as he meets her eyes, he takes her hand and she lets him place it on his chest to help her try and mimic his breathing. 

He quietly whispers affirmations to her as he feels her follow his breathing and Ivy feels like it's only now she can see him clearly. He was a blob of a person a few seconds ago and now that her breathing was almost back to normal, she could make out his features.

His furrowed eyebrows, the concern in his eyes, the feeling of his hand on hers. It overwhelmed her but in a good way. She doesn’t know where the water bottle suddenly came from but she gladly takes it from him as he hands it to her. After sipping on the water, a quiet soft almost inaudible “I’m okay” comes out of her as she looks at him. 

“Okay, I’m glad” she hears him reply and sees him flash her a soft small smile. She knows he probably was shit scared when he saw her like that and she’s thankful that he doesn’t bring it up. They probably sit there for a few minutes, her hand in his as he’s drawing patterns on her palm. She giggles a few times, almost inaudible when his touch tickles her hand. 

“Let’s go home?” he asks after a few more seconds of silence and Ivy nods slowly at him, wanting to be back in their bed already, under the covers all warm, limbs tangled in comfort.

She mumbles a yes please, and lets him stand up first and tug her up. They don't mention the panic attack until they’re in bed, which is where surprisingly a lot of deep conversation happen for them. 

He doesn’t throw questions at her but rather, lets her talk as he listens to her, providing her with words of comfort wherever required.

He’s been with her throughout her ups and downs, the beautiful and ugly parts of life and much more, she doesn’t find the words to say. He knows what to say, and what to do to calm her down and she feels like she has done some great deeds in her past life to be blessed with him and to be his, in this. 

He's saved her in every way a person can be saved and he, to put it simply, was her home.

ask 2: idk if you even saw my request or no but I asked a month ago if u could do ivy having a really bad panic attack and yeonjun comforting her i would appreciate it so much. I'm so stressed out from school since I'm in high school and in my school we have to take extra 3 or more subjects so its so stressing and the assignments are too much and my mental health and anxiety are getting worse so I just wanted some comfort also ily sm omfg!!!!. also not forcing at all love you!!!
