“I try to be. Nah, it’s really no bother to me. If I have free time - which is most of the time - then I try to figure her out.” Teddy shrugged effortlessly. “Journalism? That’s cool, though. Why ‘journalism?”
“Journalism because I want my voice to be heard. I know, I know, it sounds lame and cliche. But I like being heard and what better way to be heard than through media outlets and all that”, she said with a small smile. Hearing him talk about his sister made her wonder about her brother. They barely spoke, she knew nothing about him, and she sure as hell would never would through all the trouble Teddy was going through for his sister. “Are you and her close, then?”, she asked, referring to his sister.

“Not yet– It’s the back-breaking work.” He chuckled and nodded, “Sure, your car it is.” He said happily and stood up, following her out.
She grabbed his hand, leading him outside to the parking lots. Ivy walked up to her car, letting go of his hand so she could take her keys out. She got in, watching him get in as well. “It’s not a long drive”, she mentioned, turning her head to look at him.

“Who knows? I might just totally let go of myself.” Holt laughed. “Hey, lead the way, darling.”
“I truly am curious now. Do they have an app that turns you into that?”, she asked, getting up her seat and grabbing her coat. “Come on, let’s take my car. Unless you really want to take yours instead.”

”So, this might sound like an incredibly old question but, do you know where I can find a cheese store open at this time?” she said, approaching the other person.

“Okay, we’re not all ugly.” He said and smiled at her. “Some are fat and old, but I still got a few good years left in me.”
“I can’t picture you fat and ugly, “she said, laughing. “Gosh if you only have a few years left you better do me before the change happens!”

“Very flattering– I’ve just been caught up in work to go out.” He told her. “But, if you’re offering, by all means.” He winked. “And I promise to help you bright and early tomorrow morning.”
I’ve never slept with a good looking mechanic, guess there’s always a first time for everything though,” she coyly replied.

She turned her body towards him, “First of all, two weeks? Impossible with a face like yours.”, she let a long sigh out, “Fine, I’ll wait until tomorrow but you gotta promise you will help.”

“Oh, come on, you’ve been fixing my cars for years, and I really wanted to go on this road trip, you gotta help me”, she said, giving him her best puppy eyes. “I’ll buy you another beer if you help me.”
“As much as I love my job, it’s my one day off and I’d rather not talk about your car and how it needs work done.” Holt muttered and took a drink of his beer.

based off THIS
Today was the first day over the whole holiday weekend that Denver had been stable, able to have visitors. He looked down at the cuff on his arm and sighed. Then his attention went to the door and the familiar face standing there. A loud sigh he let out. “well come in if you are coming.” he muttered.
Ivy had been so worried that she nearly chewed all her nails off. She had heard about Denver’s little accident through friends in common, and although she had seen it coming she hadnt expect it to be so soon. She had no reason to visit him. She had already done the “right” thing by visiting him at the rehab center. So why should she go to the hospital now? But there she was- standing outside the door, wondering if she should come in at all. Denver spoke, leaving her with no other choice than to go inside his room. “You like like crap”, she said, taking a seat.

She let a long sigh out, crossing her arms in front of her chest and smiling smugly at him. "Darling, are you forgetting who you are talking to? If you want out, I'll get you out. But you should really think about it. Is that really what you want?", she asked, dropping her arms and leaning closer to him, she looked around the room, wondering if there truly was a way to get him out of there.
Ivy scoffed, trying her hardest not to roll her eyes at him, which was truly impossible at times. “I know how selfish you are about certain things, I dated you, you know. Seems like you forget at times.” She pursed her lips for a moment, wondering if she truly had something she wanted to tell him or if it had simply been an excuse she had made up to come see him. When it came to him she usually didn’t know how to feel. Part of her was mad and hurt, but the other part still longed for him. Even if they were never good to each other back then, maybe and just maybe things could change. “Hah, you wish I was here to say I miss you. I’m just here to let you know I still have a box filled with your stuff and it is taking up closet space. Do you want it back?”
Denver was truly selfish person, though he wasn’t always that way. Honestly it was the drugs that made him turn into the person he was. Though he didn’t forget dating her, he loved her at one time. “well not much I can do with that stuff here now can I? Unless it is a secret plan to get me out of this place because I am running out of options.” he explained.

"Gosh, you sound like a great brother. Isn't that too much work, though? Learning about her interests and all that instead of doing your own shit," she asked, raising an eyebrow at him slightly. She looked at her books, giving him a small shrug. "Journalism, nothing too exciting", she stated nonchalantly.
“Seriously? That was the easiest joke to get!” He exclaimed in a hushed tone, biting back a laugh. “Picking out books, actually. I don’t need them. But my sister wants to go to school to study some medical crap. So I’m trying to understand the field to make it easier for her when we talk about it. I just so happened to be humming at the same time. What about you?” He gestured to her books. “What are you studying?

Ivy stared at him, trying her best to keep her voice down and a straight face. "I cannot believe I didn't get that. I've been hearing that joke for ages. Now that was stupid." She looked around the library, making sure they weren't disrupting anyone. "So what are you even doing here, are you studying or just going around humming and annoying cute students like me?"
“It wasn’t really an attempt. More of a joke, I guess. Because Poison Ivy-” he trailed off. “Never mind, that was stupid. I’m not offended.”

She shook her head while softly laughing. "That was an adorable attempt. Ah, you look like the type. And I mean that in a non-offensive way, so please don't get offended."
“Wouldn’t try. It’s not my thing, really. The only thing anyone could call you really is toxic, which isn’t much.” He laughed lightly at his poor attempt of a joke. “Exactly that. I study music.”

She took his hand and shook it, "My name is Ivy. However trying to insult me would just be rude." She let go of his hand, getting up from her seat to take the one beside his. "What's your major then? Let me guess, something music related."
Teddy moved back a bit to stick his hand out toward the girl. “Teddy. If I’d tried to insult you, I’d ask which name you’d like, as well.”

She couldn't hold back the smile that appeared on her lips. "Guess you got me there. So are you gonna tell me your name or should I just call you crouton?"
<“Looks like you’re shit out of luck then. Within the time we’ve spent arguing, you could’ve studied a lot more.” He shrugged as a small smirk appeared on his features. “Thanks for not hating my song, though. Means a lot.”

Ivy stared into his eyes, mimicking him by raising an eyebrow like he had. "Never said I hated it. I do, however, hate distractions."
She sat there, staring at him, unsure of what to say. He was right, she was the one being loud now. “Well, if you hadn’t been humming in the first place we wouldn’t be here”, she replied, inching her face close to his, her voice as quiet as she could make it without turning it into a whisper.

“Which makes no sense since you’re the only one that’s being loud right now.” He replied, crossing his arms. “Maybe if you kept your nose in your book and out of my business, we wouldn’t be having this argument.”
