Cordyceps fungi is a common ingredient in Chinese herbal medicines. In general, mushrooms wouldn’t seem like an obscure ingredient, however, this particular mushroom grows from the bodies of insects. If a spore lands on an insect, it can infect it. The fungus then grows within the body, using the internal organs as a food source. Eventually, the fungus rips out of the insect, distributing more spores.

I've never found another person with the same condition from the same cause! that makes me feel so much less alone.
I'm trans and before I got top surgery, I was an EE cup. (PCOS is fun) I wore a binder literally every moment I was awake for about 6 years or so, maybe a little more, and a while back I was diagnosed with slipped rib syndrome.
I'm luckily post op and have no need to bind anymore but I feel like I can do barely anything. it hurts to walk, it hurts to bend over, it hurts to breathe sometimes. I'm on muscle relaxers but I feel like they're doing less and less each day.
PLEASE bind properly. this isn't a fucking joke and the lack of information given to trans youth is borderline dangerous. bind properly and responsibly if you don't have to feel like there's a really painful seatbelt latching and unlatching inside your body each time you move or breathe out too hard.
As someone who is trans, I know how annoying it is to hear "don't overbind you'll hurt your ribs!1!1" but PLEASE be careful.
I bind with a tank binder a size too large regularly, and still the past several months I've been dealing with horrible back/side/hip pain, and after two relocations of my 5th, 7th, and 8th ribs, have now been diagnosed with slipping rib syndrome. Weeks before top surgery. I know not binding is hell on its own, but please take care of your body.

Out There Screaming: An Anthology of New Black Horror will be published on October 3 via Random House. It's curated by filmmaker Jordan Peele, who also provides an introduction and serves as editor with John Joseph Adams.
It features short stories by Erin E. Adams, Violet Allen, Lesley Nneka Arimah, Maurice Broaddus, Chesya Burke, P. Djèlí Clark, Ezra Claytan Daniels, Tananarive Due, Nalo Hopkinson, N.K. Jemisin, Justin C. Key, L.D. Lewis, Nnedi Okorafor, Tochi Onyebuchi, Rebecca Roanhorse, Nicole D. Sconiers, Rion Amilcar Scott, Terence Taylor, and Cadwell Turnbull.
The 400-page book will be available in hardcover, e-book, and audio book. The synopsis is below.
The visionary writer and director of Get Out, Us, and Nope, and founder of Monkeypaw Productions, curates this groundbreaking anthology of all-new stories of Black horror, exploring not only the terrors of the supernatural but the chilling reality of injustice that haunts our nation. A cop begins seeing huge, blinking eyes where the headlights of cars should be that tell him who to pull over. Two freedom riders take a bus ride that leaves them stranded on a lonely road in Alabama where several unsettling somethings await them. A young girl dives into the depths of the Earth in search of the demon that killed her parents. These are just a few of the worlds of Out There Screaming, Jordan Peele’s anthology of all-new horror stories by Black writers. Featuring an introduction by Peele and an all-star roster of beloved writers and new voices, Out There Screaming is a master class in horror, and—like his spine-chilling films—its stories prey on everything we think we know about our world... and redefine what it means to be afraid.
