I never got around to posting this shot of the two most notorious second place finishers in cycling dueling for first: Van Avermaet v. Sagan. Happy Van Avemaet won that day - but I can’t imagine both won’t start winning a lot more races very soon.

……These portraits were taken one day before the start of the Tour de France, the second one was taken right after finishing the much feared cobble stone stage in Cambrai. So no staging for the second shot which shows the impact of it all.

André Greipel, Lotto Soudal, took the final stage of this years Tour in a sprint finish following a procession to Paris.

Chris Froome, Team Sky, is the 2015 Tour de France champion.

Lacets de Montvernier to Col du Chaussy to that dirt road that goes to the top of the Col de la Madeleine - such a good trifecta. The Tour is over, and bike riding is on my mind. :-)
