How To Get a 1000 Loyal Blog Followers Quickly
Are you struggling to get blog followers? Have you been spending a lot of money on Google AdWords (or Facebook Ads) to get more visitors to your blog? What if I showed you how to get blog followers without spending a any money on paid traffic methods?
If you’ve ever searched for anything on Google, you will know that Google displays two sets of results – Organic search results and paid search results. If your website is part of the paid results, Google will love you to death. Why? Because, you, my friend, are paying their employees’ salary.
Now, I don’t know about you. But I would rather use all that money to pay my employees’ salaries - not Google’s. Hey, don’t get me wrong. You’re probably a lot more generous (or richer) than me. In that case, Congratulations! – and go ahead, knock yourself out. Google employees are expecting a big fat bonus this year!
The rest of you, who are more like me, saving your hard-earned cash and hopefully, pumping it back into your businesses to generate even more money, this guide will help you save a ton of money and get more blog followers quickly and easily. Now, that’s a picture that makes me happy. Google employees can buy their own lunch!
I’d rather get my website ranked in the organic (read FREE!) search engine lists even if it means I have to take a few hours of learn how to do that.
I’m here to tell you that you don’t need any secret powers to take on Google. Heck! you don’t even need a blue and red costume.
All you need to get followers on your blog is to follow a few easy steps.
This is where you say, “Okay I Get it! Now tell me how to get blog followers for Free before I pull my hair out!”
Ah, the steps! Actually, they are super simple, and the chances are, you’re already following them – to some extent. There is a secret sauce that will help you get great search results from these steps. We will talk about it at the end of this post. But first, let’s look at the steps.
Want More Blog Followers? Do a Thorough Keyword Research First!
I know you will probably be rolling your eyes right now - “Dude, everybody – along with his/ her in-laws - knows that keyword research can get you better search engine rankings! So, what’s the big revelation here?!!”
You’re right. There is no revelation here. But let me tell you this. If you already knew that and are still not getting great results from keyword research, chances are you are not doing it right OR – worse still, you are not doing it at all. Complex things are best left to geeks, right? Wrong!
If you have been using complexity and lack of knowledge as an excuse for not taking action, you’re leaving a lot of money on the table, my friend.
Sure, you can outsource this step. Sometimes – especially if you have money, but don’t have time – it’s a smart move to outsource some of your tasks. It will help you focus on doing something you love doing – I’m not talking about giving your dog a bath – and grow your blog better.
But I urge you – Please, please, please, learn these skills – at least one of them - before you outsource. There is a reason for this.
I’ve seen a lot of people outsource their SEO on Fiverr or other platforms. When, the outsourcer completes their project, they get a file back – usually a spreadsheet - full of keywords, URLs or links. They happily close the file and wait the next couple of days hoping to see their website on the first page of Google. Then, when nothing seems to happen, they go back to searching for the next magic solution. That’s the fastest route to Internet Marketing suicide and probably financial
Don’t fall into that trap. I can guarantee you that anybody, who has achieved great results online, has mastered at least one area of internet marketing – it could be SEO, content creation, social media marketing – anything. Master a skill first, and then outsource. Don’t let laziness and fear of complexity stop you from achieving true success online.
So, coming back to the first step, do your Keyword Research thoroughly and make a list of keywords that have a decent traffic and low competition. Don’t go for keywords with a lot of traffic because chances are, the competition will be high. Finding a high volume, low traffic now is like winning the internet lottery. So, don’t waste too much time looking for it. If you come across one, great.
Book your Ferrari and your next exotic holiday to an exotic location. Scratch that! Don’t follow that last piece of advice, yet.
If you don’t know how to do keyword research, I suggest you go through these 2 blog posts first. You will get a thorough understanding of the basics.
How To Get Followers More On Your Blog With Keyword Research
How To Start a Blog and Get Followers - Fast
One of the best tools, in my experience, to do Keyword Research is Long Tail Pro. It helps you find Long Tail Keywords fast and rank your blog. Long tail keywords or keyphrases are long phrases that people type into Google when they search for solutions.
Long tail keywords help you get lesser, but highly targeted traffic to your blog. While shorter keywords will get more traffic, they are highly generic and the amount of competition you will face will be tremendous.
For example, if you try to rank in Google for the keyword, “Diet”, you have a lot of work to do. Don’t just look at the large number of searches for this keyword and get too excited. It’s a highly competitive short keyword and you will face some serious competition from established players in the market.
Another downside is, the results are more generic. That means, if you manage to get your website to the first page of Google for that keyword, you could get a lot of broad traffic to your website. For example, there could be people searching for the meaning of the word Diet, the spelling of the word Diet, or Types of Diets, Recipes that suit their Diets or a million other things. That’s not really helpful for marketers whose goal is to promote specific products or services – sometimes even in a specific location.
Now let’s try to get more specific with our keywords and shift to longer keywords or keyphrases. These are known as Long Tail keywords. They are longer and describe the search queries more accurately. That means, Google can provide more specific (read accurate) results for those searches.
Just look at the results below, as we get more specific with the keyphrase, you will see a significant reduction in the number of results. But for us, the key point is, the competition also comes down considerably.
For a competitive keyword like Diet, the competition will still be high. But if you pick another less competitive niche, you can easily rank on Google’s 1st page for you Long Tail keywords. The best part is, you will get highly targeted traffic of visitors who are actually interested in what you have to tell them. Now, you are ready to go into the next step.
Creating Great Content For Your Blog Can Get You More Followers
Start with a Killer Headline
Here’s why you need a great headline to start you blog post. According to Copyblogger, 8 out of 10 readers will read your headline. But here’s the kicker. Only two (yes 2) out of 10 will go ahead and read the rest of your content.
The chances of your blog post getting read depends entirely on how attractive (or intriguing) your headline is. If writing is not your strong suite, I suggest you use this Headline Analyzer to get a better idea of how good your headline is. But remember, that this is just a tool and can help you only so much. Writing great headlines is a skill that you can master with practice.
To start with, study the headlines on the top results that appear on Google for your keywords. Then for each blog post write at least 10 – 15 different headlines and compare them with the top results on Google.
Try to keep these points in mind when crafting your headlines:
Keep your headlines short
Convey the main benefit your post will deliver to the reader
Include your main or focus keyword in your headline
Try to capture a strong emotion in your headline. Don’t make it bland and neutral
Wherever possible, try to give a mention a number (like “3 actionable steps” or “7 top tips” or “in the next 48 Hrs” etc. This will make the post seem Specific, Finite and To-the-point, delivering clear solutions – rather than a generic never-ending post.
Use words like Powerful, Top, Best, Secrets etc. to make your post stand out from the rest of the articles
Talk To Your Reader – Not Google
A lot of bloggers over-optimize their posts trying to get top rankings. The Google search algorithm is becoming smarter (and more human-like) day-by-day.
Readability is a key factor in ranking now. It also makes your blog more attractive to visitors. Make sure that your content can easily be read and understood by your visitors.
In short, forget the bot! How on earth did I come up with that one?!!
Tumblr media
Write for people not machines
Anyway, let’s get serious (SEO is serious business, baby!). If your content looks like “Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet” with a lot of keywords stuffed in between, it’s time to kiss your Blogging ambitions goodbye.
Talk to your reader like you would talk to your friend. Keep them engaged. Try to build a long-term relationship.

6 Power Tips To Make Your Blog Posts Stand Out In 2020
How To Promote Your Blog To Get More Blog Visitors
This is where a number of bloggers come up short. You may have written great crowd pulling posts. But unless you put them in front of the right audience, nobody’s going to read you masterpieces.
Once you have written around 5 pillar blog posts on your blog, it’s time to start promoting them. Remember, when you are promoting your article, what you are essentially doing is marketing your blog. To market effectively, you need to first have a good marketing plan and then go out there and execute it. Do an initial research, pick 2 or maximum 3 channels of promotion that you are comfortable with. There are number of methods you can use.
I mostly use these 3 methods to drive more traffic to my blog:
Pinterest – Public boards
Quora Answers
Facebook Posting/ Commenting
I also use YouTube quite a bit.
Apart from these popular methods, another great way to get a lot of targeted traffic - and get backlinks to your blog is to do Guest Posts.
You can read more about Guest Posting in this post.
So, there you have it. Following these steps will help you get a lot of blog followers quickly.
Now, the secret sauce I mentioned earlier is consistency. Whatever you are doing, once you create the plan, stick to it until you start seeing results. Believe me, in 3 to 6 months’ time, you will start seeing some great results.
Now that you know how to get blog followers, it’s time to shift gears and turn your blog into a real business.
Once you start getting traffic, plan on monetizing your blog. My favorite monetization method is Affiliate Marketing. There are a number of great affiliate marketing companies and programs that can help you make a lot of money.
Here are some of the Top Paying Affiliate Programs that you can join. Pick the affiliate programs that are right for you and start implementing these steps to maximize your income.

How to Design a Blog – Tips For Starting a Successful Blog in 2020
When I started my first blog, I didn’t know a thing about how to design a blog or get traffic. In fact, I didn’t know anything about blogging. I started off with one goal - to build a great blog and start writing blog posts that will get me least 10,000 visitors per month, preferably in less than 6 months.
But I had no clue how to go about doing it. At that time, getting even a 1,00o visitors looked like a tall mountain to climb. If you are a new blogger who has just set up a blog, you will know what I’m talking about. I had to go through a lot of failure to learn how to design my blog the right way – to start a successful blog that would get a lot of visitors every month and help me make a solid passive income.
I will be honest with you. It was not easy. It’s not easy even today. But it isn’t impossible either. To design a grow successful blog, there are specific actions that you will need to take consistently.
Key Steps In Designing a Blog
Research your blog niche thoroughly
Understand you blog audience
Plan your blog content and publication schedule carefully
Write some GREAT original blog posts
Promote your blog every way you can
Build relationships with other bloggers in your niche
And, the toughest part - keep doing all of this consistently – year after year
Did I just manage to scare the blog out of you? I hope not.
If you are still reading this, you have passed the 1st part of the bloggers’ test. There is hope for you as a blogger. Heck! You might even become a successful, full time blogger.
The image a lot of new wannabe bloggers have about blogging is this – a carefree blogger lounging in a beach chair, churning out money-making posts while sipping cocktails and throwing a Frisbee for a golden retriever to chase, without missing a beat – or making a typo.
Now, that may be a cool picture for your vision board. But the reality is a little different, my friend!
Before you can get anywhere close to living your dream life (if it matches the picture above), I really must pull your pretty little head out of the clouds a little, to address the initial hustle part that blogging gurus (conveniently) fail to mention.
I don’t mean to scare you away. If you stick with me, you will start seeing amazing results (refer the picture above). You can thank me later!
So, where were we? You need information on how to design a blog and how to get tons of traffic, right?
When I started blogging, I used to read every article I could get my hands on - looking for tips for starting a successful blog. I made a lot of mistakes and lost a lot of money. After a lot of trial and error, I finally managed to refine my blogging strategy into a few actionable steps that actually got me results.
Designing Your Blog - What To Expect
I am going to show you those steps here. If you follow them and improvise as you go, you will start seeing results quickly. You may have to put on hold, your plans to work from a beach, for a bit. But this is the best way for you to design and grow your blog quickly into a long-term business.
So, here’s what you need to do to design your blog in 2020 in such a way as to get maximum traffic, quickly.
I want to mention here that I won’t be explaining the technical part of creating a blog here. If you need help in getting started – from selecting your platform to picking you domain, getting hosting, installing WordPress and a suitable theme, you can check out my step by step guide here.
Step 1 In Designing Your Blog - Audience Research
“I can’t write without a reader. It’s precisely like a kiss—you can’t do it alone.”
― John Cheever
If you want to really succeed as a blogger, before you do anything else, you need to identify your readers and understand their needs and problems. Only then you can help them by creating high quality content to address their needs.
This is the most important step in designing your blog. So, I will break it down into smaller sections, and take you step-by-step, so that you get it right. Do this wrong, and you can kiss your blogging dreams goodbye.
1. Define your audience
If you already have a blog, you probably have done this exercise already. But here’s the question. Have you done it correctly?
Most new blog owners, when they start creating their blogs, seem to think that doing a basic niche research is good enough to ensure success.
Some don’t even bother to try to understand the profile of their future readers before churning out blog post after blog post, hoping that somewhere, someone will hopefully read, like and share what they write.
You can avoid a lot of future heartburn if you take a little time to create a target reader profile initially. That way, you will have a clear idea as to who can benefit from your blog content.
Even if you have no idea about how you are going to create content for your blog or how you are going to drive traffic to your blog, it doesn’t matter at this stage. Just focus on understanding your audience – their likes and dislikes, the problems they are facing (for which, hopefully, you can provide a solution) and their aspirations – and you will do just fine.
Try to be as specific as possible. For example, your ideal reader could be a ‘35-year-old housewife who is trying to raise her young kids, while trying to build a passive income through online opportunities’.
By now, you’re probably wondering – “How on earth can I do all that profiling? I have no clue where to start!”
Don’t worry. I will take you through the exact steps you need to follow, to create profiles like a professional. But before that, there is one more thing you need to do.
2. Find Out Where Your Potential Readers Hang Out
Before you can even think of attracting your target visitors to your blog, you have to figure out where to find them.
There are different ways to do it. If yours is a local business - like an offline product or service – you may have to meet people directly, to effectively connect with your target audience.  You could go to local meetings or conventions that your potential clients frequent.
Another way – for both online and offline niches - is to find the most popular blogs in your niche. All you have to do is, type “top blogs” on Google.
Once you get the search results, start keeping track of these blogs – preferably on a spreadsheet. That way, it’s easy to update your list with all important details you find in the future.
This spreadsheet will play a very important role later in driving targeted traffic to your website and also in building backlinks. So, do this exercise as thoroughly as possible. Create one column to track if the blog allows comments, and another column to track if it allows guest posts. Now you have a powerful tracker to help with build your blog traffic and do off-page SEO like building backlinks for your site.
To check if your target blogs allow guest posts, simply type “ guest post” on Google.
Time To Dive Deeper
Now it’s time to go deeper with your audience research. Check each blog individually. What you are looking for are signs of activity or traffic. Look for things like the number of comments, how recent they are, frequency of comments, social shares etc. on each blog post.
Start adding the best blogs in your niche - that fit your criteria - to your list. These should ideally be blogs that your target readers visit frequently. Your goal is to get these people to visit your site.
Once you have around 50 blogs identified, look for forums relating to your niche. Repeat the process you followed earlier. Simply type “ forum” on Google.
Once you have your search results, create a separate section (for Forums) on your spreadsheet. Like you did earlier, go through the top forums and look at the number of active members and check the level of activity – like the frequency of posts, popularity of posts and comments etc.
Once you have a general idea about what your ideal readers look like (psychologically and behaviorally - not physically 😊), where they hang out etc., it’s time to move to the next step and create your reader persona.
3. Create Your Ideal Reader Persona
This is a very important step. Do it well and you will be able to create powerful, magnetic content that pull visitors to your blog.
What you’re going to do now, is to create an imaginary reader persona – based on the audience you defined in the last step - so that you can customize your blog posts to meet that person’s needs.
Now, why exactly would you want to do that?
Have you ever noticed how some ads seem to reflect the exact same emotions you feel in certain situations? They not only seem to be able to read your feelings, but also create certain emotional responses in you - like happiness, patriotism, nostalgia - each time you watch them.
Top ad creators know the exact words to use to trigger these emotions in their audience. They are able to do this because they thoroughly research their audience first and then create an imaginary persona. If you want to create content that helps somebody, you need to understand them first - who they are, what they do, and the problems that they are struggling with.
The Tools and Resources for Audience Research
Here are some methods you can use to research your target audience:
Tools like SEMrush can provide really valuable information to help you. I use it a lot for my audience research. Another great site is Alexa.
You can also check out forums (online or offline) where your target audience hangs out. For example, Warrior Forum is a good place to study people interested in Online Marketing. Similarly, if your niche is Personal Development, you could check out Uncommon Forum.
Another cool method you can use is to post surveys using online tools like Survey Monkey.
You can get a lot of great information by posting polls on Social Media groups, where your target audience hangs out. Link these polls to giveaways or competitions and you can get some great results quickly. There is a tool that I us. It’s called PerkZilla. You can check it out here. Another such tool is AdPow.
Irrespective of the method you use, your goal should be to understand your target audience really well. Try to get an idea of their demographic details like age, gender, hobbies, profession, values, beliefs, main concerns, aspirations etc.
Once you have completed the exercise, the next step is to give your reader persona a name. This will help in making the exercise more realistic and effective.
Try to be as detailed and specific as possible. For example, when you pick an age for your reader persona, pick one number - say for example ‘32 years’, rather than a range like ‘25-35 years old.’
Your aim is to have one specific person – rather than a group - in mind when you write your blog posts. That way, your content will better resonate with the visitors to your blog.
Start Building Your Audience
Now that you know what your ideal reader looks like, let’s look at how we can get them to visit your blog. Even though your end goal is to generate a lot of traffic to your blog, it’s better to start by focusing on a few loyal followers or fans to begin with.
There is a reason for this. If you are just starting out, you need a lot feedback and support to help your blog grow. You will make mistakes. The only way you will be able to correct your mistakes and improve your blog is with the help of honest feedback from your readers.
Engaged readers or followers will give you feedback about the quality of your content. They will tell you when your posts resonate with them. They will also let you know when they don’t like your content. More importantly, they are also more likely to buy a product or service you promote through your blog. In short, they will play a vital role in the growth of your blog.
You can also use the feedback you receive to improve your reader persona, and ultimately, the quality of you content. Do this consistently and you’ll start seeing a rapid growth in your blog traffic.
First, you need some content on your blog - the type of content, that will not only help bring in tons of traffic to your blog, but also help build your brand as an expert in your chosen niche. In the next section, you will learn how to create the right type of content that will help you achieve your traffic goals.
But before you start, I suggest you check out some these blog posts. They will show you how to create powerful content using laser-focused keywords. Doing that will help establish you as an authority figure in your niche. It will, in future, also help you make a lot of money from your blog.
Pick The Right Blog Niche That Will Help You Make A Lot Of Money
Do Keyword Research Like A Pro To Drive Huge Organic Traffic
Write Blog Posts That Will Turn Your Visitors Into Loyal Followers
Monetize Your Blog Posts With Affiliate Programs That Will Pay You 1000s of Dollars In Commission
If you’re ready, let’s move on to the next step, shall we?
Step 2 In Creating Your Blog – Content Strategy
“Our job is not to create content. Our job is to change the world of the people who consume it.”
– Andrea Fryrear
Create The Right Type Of Content
As a new blogger, you’ll probably have limited resources at your disposal. If time and money are limited, it’s important to choose the right content strategy.
Don’t create a lot of content in the beginning and then wonder why no one’s coming to your blog to read your posts. The “If you build it, they will come” era of blogs is over. Now you have to promote your blog heavily to make it successful.
To begin with, you may not have the time to promote your blog as much as you want to. You will be spending all your time trying to get your blog off the ground and also creating some high-quality content.
So, what can you do now?
There is a smart strategy that will help you create content AND promote it at the same time. You can even get some SEO done while you are at it – all in one smart stroke!
Start by creating just 5 high quality blog posts. The reason I don’t suggest writing a lot of blog posts in the initial stages is, since your blog is new, and you don’t have any visitors, there is no point spending all your time writing posts that no one’s reading.
Since you’re going to start with a just few articles, it’s important to pick the right type of post that will help you build your traffic quickly. Focus on writing blog posts that will get you high quality backlinks and help you build relationships with top influencers in your niche.
The first type I would recommend is what is known as a Roundup post.
Roundup Posts
I’m sure you can guess what a Roundup post is. You simply round up content from different sources and create unique content with it. These types of posts are excellent for building backlinks, improving your SEO and for generating tons of traffic through social media shares.
The most effective way of doing this is to identify top bloggers and influencers in your niche and then ask them a question. For example, “What is the one most important thing that helped you become successful in your area?” This is, in a way similar to the strategy of interviewing experts on YouTube to get traffic to your channel.
Once you receive replies from the experts, you essentially consolidate their advice or opinions in the form of an article.
Creating content this way is quite easy because most of the points come from the experts and all you have to do is to put it all together and maybe format it into a blog post.
The best thing about these posts is that many of the authors themselves will take an interest in promoting your blog post. Like I said earlier, it is a great way to get loads of blog traffic and some high value back links from their sites.
Another type of blog post that can bring in some quick wins is known as an Ego Bait Post. Let’s take a look at what that is.
Ego Bait Posts
In this type, you create a writeup on how an influencer or a high-profile blogger changed your life or solved a big issue. The idea is to make the expert look good and describe (in a sort of case study fashion) how valuable their influence was in your success. It is essentially a form of free unsolicited testimonial for the expert, packaged as a blog post.
Once you publish the post, the next step is to contact them and share your post with them. If they like your blog post, they may promote it themselves or maybe even link to it. For them, it is free publicity. For you, it can mean a huge increase in your blog traffic and some high-quality backlinks. Win-win!
Step 3 – Promoting Your Blogs & Building Backlinks
“Content builds relationships. Relationships are built on trust. Trust drives revenue.”      - Andrew Davis
Guest-posting
Since we are talking about quickly building your traffic, and starting to make a passive income, I suggest that you use Guest Blogging as your core traffic and backlinking strategy.
The first step is to look for popular blogs in your niche that have a huge audience. This is your target audience and your job is to try to persuade at least a part of this reader base to visit your blog. You will do this by writing guest posts for popular websites.
The way to approach this is to find a topic that is likely to interest a specific set of readers on a popular site. You then create an article that will interest your target audience.
As much as possible, stay away from general topics. Write on specific topics with a certain reader in mind. You want to come across as an expert in a certain area and provide specific actionable information.
Each guest post will act as a conduit to create a flow of visitors from a popular site to your blog. Do this consistently and you will soon start seeing a large number of highly targeted visitors coming to your blog on a regular basis.
Step 4 – Scaling Up
Once you reach a stage where you are getting a lot of readers to read your content, it’s time to scale up your traffic. Start creating great content on a regular basis.
You have put in a lot of work to reach this stage. You know exactly what your audience needs help with. You have also started getting some high-quality, targeted traffic through your guest posts.
Don’t lose focus now. If you slip up now, your visitors will start abandoning you. What you want to do is to convert your visitors to loyal followers and subscribers. You need to have an effective content strategy and schedule to do that.
Create A Content Calendar
To create high quality content on a regular basis, you need to have a plan. It’s time you took the guesswork out and planned like a professional.
You have a general idea about the topics you are going to write about. Now you need to get into the specifics of your future blog posts.
Do a thorough keyword research on your topic and identify your focus keywords or key phrases for each blog post. These are the words or phrases that people type into Google to search for solutions to their problems.
You want to pick keywords that people are actually searching for, and not words that you think people might be interested in. It’s important to know the difference.
Keywords help Google to suggest your website to the searcher when they need help with something. Create good content with the right keyword and you will get a lot of organic search traffic from Google for free.
You can read about a powerful way to do keyword research here. It’s super simple and will help you master traffic generation.
You can learn about the method in this article.
There are some great tools that you can use to identify powerful, traffic getting keywords. Here are the ones I use mostly
Keyword Research Tools (Free):
Google Keyword Planner
Google’s very own keyword research tool – part od it’s Google adwords account. Very powerful and easy to use. But if you want more specific suggestion on which keyword or keyphrase to target, then I suggest, you use a paid tool. I have mentioned a couple of ones that I use regularly below.
Uber Suggest
Ubersuggest is a cool free tool. It can give you helpful suggestions on better keywords to use for your blog post.
Powerful Keyword Research Tools (Paid):
SEMrush
SEMrush is the best Keyword Research and SEO tool available in the market today. It’s a paid tool and comes with a 7-Day Free Trial. You can check it out here.
Market Samurai
Market Samurai is another tool that does all the analysis with just one click. It’s a desktop software and comes in Free and Paid versions. You can check out the Free Version here.
Ahref
Ahref is another popular online tool that helps you with your complete SEO needs. You can check out its pricing here.
There are simple ways to identify related keywords that you can target. You can get related keywords easily in 3 ways:
Google suggests related searches in the search box as you type. Note these down.
Right below the first result, you will see a number of questions that people commonly ask relating to your keyword.
At the bottom of the first page of results, you will find a list of related key phrases or searches
Coming back to designing your blog, earlier I mentioned looking at 2 specific types of content to generate traffic during the initial stages.
Now, it’s time to look beyond those specific types of posts. Now it’s time to write blog posts for your loyal visitors. The only way to retain your blog visitors and grow your blog traffic, is to keep creating high quality content that they will enjoy reading and sharing with their friends.
You need to decide how often you want to post and what you will be writing about. You can create a simple calendar using a spreadsheet or you can use an online tool like Coschedule for planning your content.
A good content calendar will help you plan out content well in advance. Plan your calendar based on feedback from your loyal readers and also the keyword research you did earlier.

How To Increase Blog Traffic in 2020 - Fast
If you just started your blog and are wondering how to increase blog traffic fast, read on. Though there are a number of methods you can use for generating blog traffic, my advice is, it’s good to focus on one or two blog traffic methods. This approach is especially important if you are new to blogging and don’t have huge budget to use on paid advertising or a large team to work on SEO.
Tumblr media
I needed a better approach
When I first started blogging, I used to have a simple approach. I would sit in front of my computer, pick a category from my blog – like SEO or blogging or affiliate marketing. Most of the time I would have no clue where to start. Sometimes I would wait for hours – struggling with writer’s block – for inspiration to strike me. It was a huge struggle to get even one blog post done on time.
Although I kept looking for answers to the question that always nagged me – how to increase blog traffic for free, my content never seemed to attract targeted visitors to my blog.
It wasn’t until I started looking into how some of the other bloggers were so successful, that I realized my mistake.
I wasn’t writing what people actually wanted to read. We all know how google works- at least on the surface. If you want an answer to a question, you ask Google. You do it by typing a word or a phrase or even a specific question into the search box and hit Enter. Simple.
The problem with my blog was, I was writing on topics that I loved or knew about. I never checked if people were interested in those topics or if anybody was searching for them at all. This meant that my blog posts were not getting found by readers on Google.
It was only when I started to understand more about SEO and the use of keywords that I started seeing results – both in terms of viewers and income.
Using Keywords to Increase Blog Traffic
Ask any experienced blogger, they will tell you that free, targeted organic traffic is the best form of traffic you can get. Why? Because apart from the obvious fact that it is free, there is an added benefit that the content you created once can get you traffic for years to come.
Now, the question is, what do you have to do to tap into this Google (or any other search engine) goldmine? To do that, you need to be able to rank high in search engine listings.
Tumblr media
The first step is to find your keywords. Keywords are words or phrases that people use in order to search for information on the internet. For example, if you live in New York and were looking for a car mechanic, you could just open Google and type “car mechanic New York” or “the best car mechanic in New York” or “cheapest car mechanic in New York” or even “reliable car mechanic near me”. Google will then start displaying results as per the search terms you typed. These words or phrases are known as Keywords.
I mostly use Google Keyword tool to find my keywords. It’s simple and free.
Once you identify your keywords, it’s time to use these keywords in a blog post in a way that will help you quickly rank high in search engines and get tons of free targeted traffic to your blog.
Here’s what most people do once they have their keywords. Many of them go crazy with that keyword and stuff it everywhere in their blog post. Ultimately their blog post becomes something that cannot be understood or enjoyed by a human reader. You don’t want to make the same mistake. Remember, Google is getting smarter day by day and readability plays an important role in Google ranking.
Let’s look at the best way to use keywords to increase traffic to your blog.
Step one – Keyword Research
It's pretty obvious. To use keywords to drive a lot of traffic to your blog, you need to start at the right place- Keyword Research! Keyword research should tell you more what your main or focus keyword should be. Once you find out your focus keyword using Google Keyword Tool, the smart thing to do is to identify related long-tail keywords. Long tail keywords are usually phrases that help narrow down your search when you search for something on Google. In the above example, “cheapest car mechanic in New York” is a long-tail keyword. Long tail keywords usually yield lesser number of results. But the results usually are much more relevant.
Tumblr media
Target Long-Tail Keywords
What this means for you as a blog writer or website owner is, you get more targeted readers when you use long-tail keywords. E.g.: People living in New York who might be actually interested in your service as a car mechanic.
Another smart way to get related long-tail keywords is to type your focus keyword in the Google search box. Google will immediately come up with its own related keyword suggestions in the search box. You can also see related search terms at the bottom of the search results page with heading ‘Searches related to ”.
Note all these related keywords down. First, I suggest you use a tool called Keywords Everywhere. It was free for a long time. But now they have made it a paid tool. But even as a paid tool, it’s quite inexpensive and the benefits are huge.
What it does is, whenever you search for any term on Google, it immediately gives you cool stats like Volume, Cost Per Click (CPC), Competition etc.
A Cool Keyword Research Technique
Here’s a cool technique I use to drive a lot of traffic to my blogs. It involves ranking my blog posts quickly using a formula called Keyword Golden Ratio.
The Keyword Golden Ratio was created by Doug Cunnington. It is one of the best techniques I have used to drive tons of traffic to my websites. You can learn more about KGR here.
Combine it with the Keywords Everywhere tool and you will soon start driving huge amounts of traffic to your websites.
Once you come up with your focus and related keywords, it’s time to go to the next step.
Step 2: Content Creation
This is a very important step. Do this right and you can easily get targeted traffic for years to come.
There are a number of articles out there that will tell you about the importance of content - you know, The Content is King bit. When I started my blog, I used to struggle with the ‘How’ part – How to structure my content, How to write engaging content, How to used keywords effectively etc. I don’t know about you. But one thing I really hate is when someone tells me about a great technique that worked for them, without telling me how they actually did it.
So, let me break the content creation process down for you so that you know exactly what to do.
Operation Blog Traffic: The Approach
The first important component is your approach. If you want people to like your post, you’ve got to approach your blog post writing process as if you're about to create something amazing. A post that is much better than any other blog post that's out there.
When you start with that mindset, you are going to put in little more effort to create something that will stand out from the rest. The extra value you provide will make people want to share it with their friends and that will get Google rank to it higher.
Everyone knows that the approach is really important. But how do we get it right?
Well, first thing that I do is to put myself in the shoes of somebody who's about to read my post. To do that, I try to understand their pains and their problems and what solution I can offer them. I then try to create that transformation path through my blog post.
For more detailed step-by-step instruction on writing your blog post, check these articles:
6 Steps To Writing The Perfect Blog Post That Will Get You 1000s Of Visitors
So now that you know how to structure your blog post, let’s look at the next step to make your post Google friendly.
Ninja Tips For Increasing Blog Traffic
Create a Hook
One neat trick you can use to get your reader hooked is to have the person take some action. It can be getting them to do some exercise, or even think about a new idea. Maybe you could hint at a particular result they can expect once they read the whole post. Do this in the beginning of your post or at least somewhere in the 1st paragraph.
Another great way to start is with a small story. People love stories. One powerful psychological principle you can use here to make your stories hypnotic are 'Nested Loops'. You can read about various storytelling techniques here.
You can also share with your reader, the benefits of continuing to read your blog post. Share a little bit at the beginning. But don't give it all away until much later - maybe towards the end of the post.
All these tricks will help you craft your post in such a way that people will keep reading your post till the end.
Use Your Focus Keyword At the Beginning
As much as possible, use your focus keyword in the first sentence of your blog post. But make sure that you don't overdo it by starting the sentence with your keyword or phrase even if it doesn't make any sense. If you do that, your post could end up looking like a garbled mess out of a cheap alien flick.
Readability is a key ranking factor for Google. So, focus on your reader and make sure that you write posts that people will enjoy reading and sharing with their friends.
Sprinkle Your Keyphrases Throughout Your Post
The next step is to make sure that your relevant keywords or keyphrases appear throughout your post in such a way that search engines recognize the relevancy of your post in relation to your keywords.
This will give your posts better chances of appearing among the top results during a search.
Blog Traffic Tip: Create Paragraphs and Sub Headers
With Google search algorithms becoming smarter almost day by day, readability has become a very important factor in your blog post getting ranked in the search results. You cannot get away any more with keyword-stuffed posts that humans cannot understand or enjoy.
Write your posts for people, not bots. Make sure you break your content down into sections and paragraphs. This will give it easier for the human eye to scan your content without feeling overwhelmed.
Add sub headers (H3 & H4) for different sections within your blog post. The last thing you want is to write giant blocks of texts that will bore your readers to death.
It's not just you and me, our visitors too have lesser attention spans nowadays. There is so much going on and so little time. So what you want to do is to make it easier for people to scan through your content in a short time without getting lost in a lot of text.
Breaking your content into multiple sections with sub headers will make it easier for people to read.
How Adding Images and Videos Can Help Drive More Traffic
Images and videos not only help break up the text, they also make your blog post a lot more interesting and fun to go through. Relevant images like graphs, infographics and even cartoons add a lot of value to your posts.
Tumblr media
They will also make your content a lot more shareable - hopefully helping it to go viral. Just remember to add your keywords in the Alt Image data and descriptions for better SEO results. You can learn how to do it here on the MOZ website. If you are on WordPress, you can learn how to update Alt text and description here.
Alt text is the text that shows up if your image didn't load. Google also looks at it to see what that image is about.
It also your image to be found in Google Images search. So whenever you include an image, make sure that you add Alt text that is relevant to the section and the image in your blog post.
These may look like small things. But they stack up and help your blog post rank better on Google and get better traffic.
You don't need to pay an SEO expert to pay for all this. You can easily learn and do it yourself. Checkout this Google Guide on SEO.
Write Killer Headlines and Meta Descriptions to increase your blog traffic
Your headline (or post title) is what people see first. If you're not able to create interest and curiosity through your headline, you've already lost the battle. Think about it. When you are searching for something on Google, What would you do? Would you click on a boring lifeless headline hoping that maybe the actual content is better? Or, would you go straight to a result which has an interesting relevant headline? I am sure you understand how important headlines are. Read more on how you can craft a killer headline here.
The next important part is to add a great Meta Description. Meta description tells potential readers more about your post when your post shows up on Google search. It's important to give a relevant description so that people feel like clicking on your post or page. Make sure that you add your focus keyword in your meta description as well so that both Google and the people who are searching know what your post is about.
Tumblr media
Be sure to add your focus keywords in your meta description
If all this seems too complicated, don't worry. There is a free WordPress plugin that can make doing SEO a breeze. It's called Yoast SEO. Install and activate it on your WordPress blog and it will take care of everything. There is a step-by-step guided tour that will guide you through the right steps.
Using Videos To Increase Blog Traffic
Tumblr media
Another powerful way to increase blog traffic is to convert your blog post into a video and upload on YouTube. Then, embed the video in your blog post. Make sure that you add your keywords in the YouTube video title, descriptions and tags. Then in the video description, provide a link to your blog post.
When I started off, I knew next to nothing about making videos. Also, I hated coming on camera and doing voice overs. I was good at writing. But I was scared of talking in front of cameras. I discovered a very powerful tool that helped me overcome all these issues. In my experience, this is one of the best tools out there for creating viral videos with the click of a button. It's called the Content Samurai. You can quickly turn any article into great looking videos. The text to speech feature ensures that you don't have to speak a word. It's super simple to use and gives you access to tons of free images and videos that you can use to create your own video. You can try out Content Samurai here for FREE here.

Increasing Blog Traffic Needn't Be Complicated
The best way to start is to start simple. Don't take up too many things and get overwhelmed. Just get started and tweak as you go.
Make it a habit to go through this guide every time you create a new blog post until it becomes a habit. Doing all these will quickly stack things in your favor and you will have the best chance to rank and get a lot of organic traffic coming to your blog.
If you want to become really successful as a blogger, one key quality you will need to develop is to become better organized. Do your keyword research in advance and decide on what you are going to write about. That way you won't have to struggle when it comes to content creation. All you need to do is to focus on creating the best content that you can.

6 Power Tips To Make Your Blog Posts Stand Out In 2020
How can you make your article or blog post stand out in 2020? How can you drive a large number of visitors to your blog without spending a lot of money?
These are questions I’ve asked myself – a lot - when I started blogging. I also keep hearing similar questions from my readers and friends. I thought that this would be a good topic to look at in 2020.
So how can you do it? We will come to that in a minute.
But let me first start with a little story.
A friend of mine writes amazing blog posts. In fact, she has been doing this week after week, year after year with great results. You know, the kind of blog post that makes you go "Wow, how does she do it?” followed by "Why can't I create content like that?" Her readers obviously love whatever content she puts out.
Although I had got into blogging roughly around the same time as she, I was in a completely different boat, and it seemed like I was rowing in a different direction – upstream, most the time.
The reason I started blogging was because I loved to share my knowledge with others. I (naively) assumed that if I just focused on delivering great value through my posts, I could become the next Neil Patel. But boy! Was I in for a learning experience!
I started putting out post after post expecting a flood of visitors to my blog. When I ran out of topics (there is only so much you can write about micro - niche topics), I turned to other ‘popular’ content creation methods. From curating content from various sources, to using spun content to outsourcing, I tried them all.
But I was struggling a lot with creating content that could grab (and hold) my readers’ attention. My articles and posts were academic and boring, to say the least. The only statistic that seemed to go up in my Google analytics account was the bounce rate.
My pageview stats and the (few) reader comments that occasionally trickled in, told me that something was terribly wrong. It was one of the most frustrating periods in my blogging life.
As I sat there wondering how I got into such a mess and more importantly, how to get out of the mess, something struck me like a ton of bricks. How did some of the other bloggers, become so popular - and make money, seemingly at will - using their blogs, while I struggled day after day with zero results? Clearly, hard work was not the answer.
If you are looking for a way to cut the struggle and start building an affiliate income quickly, you’ve got to read this blog post.
Remember the friend I told you about earlier? I decided to study her blog. I started following (and analyzing) every single one of her posts. I became obsessed with decoding the secrets of what made her blog posts so amazing.
What I discovered amazed me. You could say it turned my whole idea about blogging on its head. And, it changed my whole life.
What I discovered was that anyone can write great blog posts. All you need to do is to keep a few points in mind while writing your posts.
What I am going to share with you now, may not save your life. But it definitely can save your blog. But I’ve got to warn you first. Some of what you read here may seem too simple for you. Don’t let that simplicity fool you.
I guarantee you that if you master these key points AND take action, your blog will be transformed.
So, if you are ready to start crafting awesome blog posts that captivate your readers, read on. You can thank me later 😊
1. Talk directly to your reader
Even if you are a Jedi AND the last blogger standing rolled into one, when it comes to your blog topic, change your tone Professor.
Tumblr media
Remember you are writing a post that can be read and understood by human beings not machines. And human beings are social creatures. So, until artificial intelligence takes over the world completely (scary thought, that!), talk to your readers as you would talk to a friend. It will not only keep them engaged, but it will also help you develop great relationships with your readers as well. And long-term business is all about building strong relationships.
So, how do you start? Simple! Write your posts using a conversational style. Start using words like "you" and "I". Tell a story about yourself – your struggles, your hopes, your successes – anything that is relevant to the article. Try to write like you're having a conversation with the reader. Urge them to take action so that they are able to change their current situation. In short, treat your readers like your friends and they will feel a connection with you.
Once this happens, your readers are more likely to engage with you and the popularity of your blog will skyrocket.
Here is the complete structure of an amazing blog post.
2. Write a killer headline
According to a study by Microsoft, the average human being now has an attention span of around eight seconds. In the year 2000, it was around 12 seconds.
Think about it for a second. If you don’t engage your reader in the first few seconds of their visiting your blog, you could probably lose them – maybe forever. The snazziest exit pop-ups in the world won’t be able to help your blog, if your content doesn’t have a catchy headline.
Write killer headlines
So how can you learn to create a killer headline without having a degree in copywriting.
Start practicing. If you need help, check out this free online headline analyzer tool.
As per a study, 8 out of 10 people will read your headline. However, only 2 out of 10 will click through and read the rest. That means, if your headline sucks, people will ignore your content. So, even if your content is amazing, no one's going to know about it.
The best way to master this is by looking at what’s working. Check out popular pins pertaining to your niche on Pinterest. You can find some great ideas there. Another great trick is to go to Buzzsumo, type in your keyword and check out the popular results.
3. Provide 10x value – Give tips that are actionable
When you create a post, your primary goal should be to provide as much value as you can. Stop worrying too much about things like SEO, word count etc. Focus on how to help your reader and you won’t go wrong.
Tumblr media
Provide an action plan
Try to provide an action plan – preferably like a step-by-step guide. So, if your post is about driving a huge amount of traffic using Pinterest, teach them how to do it easily – in a language that anybody can understand- and take action. Give all steps that will help your readers get the results you promised in the headline.
In short, don’t leave them wondering what to do after reading your post. Something that I often do is to provide a downloadable checklist that will help them take specific actions to achieve their results.
If your readers know that you provide more value than any other blogger, people will start flocking to your blog.
4. Always provide current up-to-date information
Many new bloggers make the mistake of taking some old content from the web and then using a spinner software to rewrite it and post it as their content. If your content is not relevant, people will stop reading your blog.
Always make it a point to post only current, relevant content on your blogs. While there are some topics that are evergreen, the content within the topics may have undergone a lot of change. Take SEO for example. Google has been constantly changing its search algorithms. That means a lot of SEO practices that were relevant 5 years ago are worthless today. Don’t give people wrong, outdated advice or they will start abandoning your blog.
Remember, there are lots of places people can get information from, on the internet. If you don’t provide the correct information, readers will get it from some other website. So, stay relevant and up to date.
5. Use Images and Videos in your blog posts
Today, with the widespread usage of smart phones and other visual media devices, communication happens a lot more visually - through images and videos. Learning techniques used nowadays too are becoming increasingly visual. Blog posts that are filled with lines and lines of pure text are likely to get limited attention from readers.
As a smart blogger, you need to recognize this trend and leverage the power of different media formats and use them appropriately.
You can communicate your ideas more effectively by using images and videos in your blog posts. To make your blog posts more interesting, you can also add audio clips or links to your podcasts. Using multimedia formats can also make your posts look more authentic and authoritative. I use Canva to create images for my blog posts.
6. Acknowledge Your Sources
While, this may not be directly linked the quality of your blog post, it is better not to try to come across as a know-it-all and cite the sources from where you received the information. It’s okay not to know everything. All of us are here to learn more.
Give credit to the people who have already done research on the topic you are writing about. It does 4 things:
It makes you look human and adds trust. You don’t come across as some ‘fake guru’.
It can add more value to your content. In the process of reading up on your source, you might end up learning a lot more about your topic.
Builds your reputation. It shows people that you have done your research and have tried to provide them with as much information as possible.
It also helps build relationships. It can give you an opening for you to get in touch with the source at a later stage. Who know, you might even end up collaborating with each other.
There you have it - 6 solid tips to make your blog post stand out in 2020. Implement these and you will start seeing your blog traffic skyrocket in a very short time. Once your blog traffic picks up, you can start monetizing your blog. The best way to make money from your blog is by joining these top affiliate programs. Each one of these have been hand-picked to help you earn a huge passive income from your blog.

Although you don’t need a website to get into affiliate marketing, it is definitely a good idea to invest in a website, if you are serious about affiliate marketing.

The Best Affiliate Programs 2020 – Category 2: Web Hosting
Web hosting is one of my favorite affiliate marketing categories. It is also one of the most popular affiliate marketing categories out there. More and more businesses are going online, and every new website requires a host.
In my experience, most bloggers who start out in affiliate marketing join web hosting affiliate programs first. They are also great because most of them will give you a solid recurring income.
Tumblr media
Before recommending a web hosting service, make sure that you are familiar with the platform yourself. I suggest don’t recommend a program based only on the commission. You don’t want to end up recommending the wrong service to your readers. Make sure that the service is dependable, has good features and has some great reviews from existing customers.
Before you go through the list of the best web hosting service affiliate programs, take a look at this opportunity to become a Web Hosting Reseller yourself.

Believe me there is a lot of money to be made in the Web Hosting space. Here are a few of the best web hosting affiliate programs for 2020. They are dependable, provide great service and, from an affiliate point of view, pay high commissions as well.
 BLUEHOST
I love the Bluehost affiliate program because it is a highly respected affiliate program. A number of affiliates I know make quite a large income just from promoting Bluehost hosting service. They have an attractive pricing model and that makes it easier for new affiliates to promote the program through their blogs.
The Bluehost affiliate program offers a multi-tiered commission structure starting with a onetime pay-out of $65. The pay-out depends on the amount of sales you make. So, the more sales you make, the higher your overall pay-out. Commissions can range from $65 to $130 per sale.
They also have a great affiliate support team. You get a dedicated support team who are highly responsive when it comes to addressing your queries.
Their referral cookies are set for 45 days. That means if your leads make a purchase within the next 45 days, you get the credit and the commission. Affiliate Payments are done between the 16th and the end of each month. You need at least $100 before they release your affiliate payment.
You Can Buy Bluehost Web Hosting Package For $3.95/Month. Click Below

 HostGator
HostGator is another very popular hosting provider that can help you make a good affiliate commission. You can earn up to $100 per hosting sign up. You also get flexible commission structures and your co-branded landing pages and offers. They also have a tiered commissions structures – the more affiliates you refer, the more you earn commissions.
You can either choose a performance-based or a hybrid commission model that offers recurring payments too.
When you join the HostGator affiliate program, you get access to dedicated affiliate account manager and lots of promotional tools like banners, text links, excellent article content, and email templates.
 GreenGeeks
