I like to think that Apollo kids immunity to sunburn isn't actually an individual power but just an extension of Apollo's love for his kids, he always subconsciously makes sure the sun chariot can't hurt them. When Apollo disappeared before becoming Lester Will, Kayla and Austin got sunburns for the first time and all freaked out thinking their powers were disappearing.
