i tried to watch frieren to make up for the dunmeshi content drought but it just makes me want to rewatch dunmeshi again
#ok like i dont like how in frieren demons are unoquivocally shown to just be shitty monsters#and its played straight#i expected some sort of inversion here or frieren to lesrn not to judge so fast#and maybe later on thats addressed it just felt disappointing how it was handled#there’s just also a lot of missed opportunities for worldbuilding aaa#and to be fair that doesnt mean its less well writren at all it just doesnt scratch the same itch#frieren has like fire emblem dna and dunmeshi has dragon age dna#imo

falin would be a vet assistant (while working on her degree but is one travel offer away from quitting both) at the attached clinic and has referred laios 3 times but he haplessly watches other people get hired anyways
in a modern au i think laios would work at a petsmart. he keeps applying for the pet care section but is relegated to a floor worker. he even gets promoted to shift lead before he gets to work in pet care.
