STYLING

into the new world styling overall was the very average and basic school girl esq uniform with all of the girls matching or wearing extremely similar outfits to each other. the girls makeup was also kept very light and natural too align with their innocent presence at the time.

ERA FACTS

WAY TO GO was flora’s promotional b-side during this era and it did better then some of flora’s later title tracks. as a song full of encouragement it often rises the chart during college testing and going into the new year.

HAEUN, seulki and hyeji were heavily pushed as a trio due to the popular “bermuda triangle visual” trope, which worked fine until they were sent to a variety show all by themselves. as a trio they had 0 chemistry and they received hate for being “disinterested and unengaged.”

THE drama from into the garden was still hitting hard, accusations of rigging the line up, previous drama between the members, and general fan war from solo stans of girls who didn’t debut

SPEAKING of drama the girls actually hated each other during this era. you could tell how uncomfortable they were in variety shows and how the members seemed to know nothing about each other. petals insist it was just camera shyness, but everyone knows what happened

OVERALL despite having a few issues, floras debut album was deemed “okay” and is honestly one of the most forgettable flora eras

INTO THE GARDEN ANNOUNCES FINAL NINE + REVEALS GROUP NAME

The finale of “Into the garden” is now here, with the show coming to a end with their final broadcast on February 22, 2020.

The last episode aired live on Mnet, featuring the remaining 18 contestants and their fans finding out who has landed a spot in the 9-member group.

For the final challenge, the 18 girls were split into 2 groups decided by the previous top 2 ranks (Seulki and Hyeji). Seulki’s group “Annyeongz” consisting of members: Seulki (Center), Yuki, Haeun, Sion, Yeju, Yuri, Hyerim, Sieun, and Jiyeon performed “In the same place”. Hyeji’s group “Kixz” consisting of members: Hyeji (center), Seohyun, Kokoro, Sooah, Choyeon, Dabin, Soyun, Juyeon, and Soojin performed “I AM.”

Mnet also announced during the finale that the new girl group would promote under the name Flora.

The members of FLORA were determined by a pre-finale voting taking place from February 16 - 21 through an online voting system where each online vote was worth 15 total points. Another voting took place during the live filming of the finale where in person votes were worth 100 total points and online votes were worth 50.

The first debut lineup member to be announced was Tamenga Sion at No. 8 with 255,338 votes. She said, "I didn't think I'd make it, so I'm not prepared. Thank you to petals and everyone who's supported me so far."

The second member was Yu Sua at No. 7 with 271,788 votes. Sua said “I could barely sleep last night as I was so afraid that I wouldn’t make it. During the last challenge my rank was falling and I was afraid that I wasn’t working hard enough. I put my all into the stages tonight and I hope I put on a enjoyable performance for everyone. Thank you.”

Followed by Cha Yeju at No. 6 with 281,484 votes. Cha Yeju said, "As the youngest on the show, I felt like I had a lot to prove. I'm surrounded by those who love and support me today, I want to thank my family who came all of this way and everyone who voted for me and watched me grow during into the garden."

Ogino Kokoro came in at No. 5 with 285,372 votes and said, "I'm so grateful for this experience and for everyone around me. To stand up here in front of everyone surrounded by all of the girls that have become my best friends is surreal. Thank you."

Ranking No. 4 was Lee Juyeon with 291,354 votes. Juyeon said “Thank you to the petals that came here today and too the petals all around the world. I saw many signs and posters from fans in the crowd while performing and they’ve given me enough energy to keep practicing hard. Thank you to my family, friends, and all the staff that have helped me reach my goals.

Followed by Shin Hyeji at No. 3 with 298,237 votes. Hyeji said, "I’ve dreamed of being in a girl group since I was young but I was never sure if I could ever be in one or not. I’m so happy to receive such a high rank and top debut in a group like this. Thank you to all the trainers that have helped me improve and to all my friends who I’ve made.”

In the end, Kim Haeun ranked No. 1 with 401,323 votes. She said, "Even though I'm young, I've spent most of my life training, yet I thought I would never debut. To rank first in this show is like a dream come true. Thank you everyone who watched after me."

Kwon Seulki, who placed second with 321,640 votes said, "There's so many things that I wish I could say. To my fans thank you for supporting me all this time, even when I was weak. I’m grateful for everyone standing here with me today, we’ve all fought hard until the very end.”

The last member revealed was ranking No. 9, with the candidates being Jung Hyerim, Shioya Yuki, and Ahn Yuri. In the end, the No. 9 member was Jung Hyerim with 242,423 votes. She said “I’m shocked that I was chosen as a member of Flora. Everyone here is so talented and I’m so happy that I’ve met everyone here. Thank you.”
