Here’s the first thing I plan on tackling, weapons!
These are sketches of my chakram, this is more of a decorative piece than for combat use. I wanted to use embellishments and patterns taken from Indian jewellery.

Research is important
For today I’m looking into other artist to gather research, inspiration, ideas, and a bit of know how to start off my concept art. I’ll pick a total of five artist/art pages that I wanted to look at.
Art that is shown is not done by me! Sources is linked below!
This is the first artist i found, Weston Jones, that spoke to me. He uses a lot of implied color and creates amazing scenes with his work.  His process is something I would like to take a closer look at.

More work by him is linked here--> Weston Jones
The second is an art page called Ceptart. This page I chose because of the compositions of the pieces they post. each new art post shows a dramatic angle, whether from the ground or in the sky, of the subject matter. Most blogs I’ve looked at has been bland with the use of space, but this page seems to composes it’s post with artist who have mastered the use of space.

Art done by Tim Blandin
The third artist I chose is Alena Velichko, she stood out to me with the dramatic and saturated color scheme she uses in her work. Color has never been my strong point and it’s something I really need to work on. Alena art will be a great help in that.

The forth artist is Dominik Mayer. His work mostly has an impressionist feel, which is what drew me to it in the first place.   Dominik encompasses both an interesting composition angle I’m looking for and has the color I want to strive for.

The final artist is Julien Gauthier. His art is very detailed and almost intimidating at first glance but looking more into it I found that I really enjoyed he’s machinery, the composition and the overall layout.  Not his environment but his subject matter is what i want to focus on.
