Hi. I was rereading misplaced calls and first off: one of my favorite fics. I love it so much. But two: I can't stop thinking about the Yuuji that called and didn't know Gojo. He was drinking after a bad break up and Gojo told him he would take him to breakfast and to text him... I can't help but wonder what that Yuuji's Gojo thought when he woke up to that text from a random person saying "see you at breakfast" 💀 I hope the breakfast happened and that it went well 😆

As far as that world where they almost missed each other, I picture Gojo in there as someone who is wealthy, and powerful, and alone, and I think he was probably awake when that text came in.

He probably ignored it at first, assuming it was a wrong number or spam, but he wasn't able to stop thinking about it and eventually he replied, because if it's spam then whatever he can block it.

Only it's Yuuji, thanking him for being so awesome to talk to, telling him that he was the best part of his night, and it's okay, really, he doesn't actually have to buy him breakfast except that Gojo...kind of wants to. He's kind of jealous, he kind of wants to be the person that Yuuji thinks he is. He's not, for sure, because he'd remember talking to someone like Yuuji, but he wants to be.

So he plays along and he insists on breakfast, and he takes Yuuji to the greasiest most hole-in-the-wall diner where they don't care who Gojo Satoru is and the food is simple and filling because obviously the kid is gonna be hung over. And it's great, amazing. They meet up around dawn and to Gojo, Yuuji is brighter than the sunrise and even more dazzling, and Yuuji, well, he's already smitten. And they make it work from there.
