Figured if I were to start contributing to the Fem!Hunter x Alma agenda, I might as well start with introducing the hunter. No, not named after the FF7 character, they (and the Palico) were originally based on a DND character, who then developed so much during MH4U dreaming/replay and Wilds hype that she's totally drifted away from the original inspiration.

Anyway, more info under the cut

She is the hunter from MH4U, I had decided this long before we got confirmation that the Wilds hunter has their own vague backstory, and didn't want to change it. Not much changes, other than being known by some expedition members already, and Gemma interactions since they already know each other

Capital C Caravan Crew is just found family, and I will die on this hill

Gemma came up with the nickname "Eri" during their Caravan days and uses it exclusively. Anyone can use the nickname, but Gemma always calls them such, save for a few moments

Palico is also still the same Ace Palico from MH4U, and stayed with them through post-MH4U and all that comes after

The mining accident happens as the Caravan Crew is preparing the airship to leave for Harth. Went to help get coal, and got blown up

She has the felyne plush pendent, which was a gift from Sophia/Guildmarm. Did the same with the Yian Kut-Ku plush that Gemma has

Still has the Article on her person, even in Wilds

Gemma and The Man worked together on making all versions of the prosthetic arm. It's powered via MH equivalent batteries that are charged with Thunderbugs

Prosthesis is made from metal from Kamura, as they're known for their high quality steel. Material is also non-conductive as to not risk shocking themself

They stuck with the Capital C for a while before leaving with Grip, her Palico, to explore the world, meeting a few of the other games hunters

It is said in the profile, but I have a headcanon that prolonged, repeated exposure to the Frenzy Virus starts to damage the vocal cords of humans in similar vein to how it affects monsters

Their throat hurts and sounds like they drowned in cheese graters if they speak for too long. Tea helps soothe it, and Sophia, and later Alma, tend to make them some to help with it

Has an ongoing paper on how the Frenzy Virus affects people long-term and from repeated exposure

During MH4U, between quests, she would frequently take expeditions to study monsters and write reports on them, then take it all back to Sophia for her to process them

Probably more and I just forgot, but I'll just talk about that in it's own post. No direct Fem!Hunter x Alma stuff in here just yet, but don't worry, I got stuff for it.
