😈 DIADOP WEEK ☎️ day 2 prompt - pride.
Yippee yay happy pride!! It comes as no surprise to my friends, and also the fact that it’s in my pfp, that I headcanon these silly pinks as asexual. But it’s a lot more nuanced than simply not experiencing sexual attraction. Asexuality is a large spectrum. They’re also genderfluid. Beneath the cut are my rambly hcs, though cw for sexual discussion but nothing explicit, and mention of transphobia relating to religious upbringing.
As mentioned above; asexuality is a spectrum, with some people being favourable of sexual acts, neutral, averse or repulsed. It’s important to understand that action =/= attraction. To make it more confusing, libido is often separate from attraction for aces too. Then you have the split attraction model that Aro/ace people often relate to. Going back to the first point, you also have stances on sexual interaction, which while not strictly an ace thing, many like to use.
Overall i hc them as aspec, generally somewhere under the aro/ace umbrella. While a certain part of them is aromantic, Doppio and Diavolo are demiromantic, meaning a significant level of trust and closeness is necessary for romantic feelings to develop. Then there is the possibility for a more physically intimate relationship….but this is where things take a complicated turn. Generally, none of them experience sexual attraction, which given their all-or-nothing libido and the fact they often experience aesthetic attraction, made figuring out their sexuality all the more difficult. Simply put; any arousal that arose had no direction, no face at the centre. Something easily taken care of alone….or not so much alone, nor so easily. And that is where the discussion of kink comes in…but that’ll be spoken about in depth on Sundays passion prompt.
There is no gender preference for a partner, though Doppio leans a little more into liking masc traits, and Diavolo fem traits. Overall sexual stance wise they are ambivalent, as there are others in the system averse to these activities. Doppio is favourable, while Diavolo is neutral, being quite content if sexual activity isn’t a part of a relationship….but they both like to please, so if it’s something the other desires then they can work with that too, their only hard limit being performing PiV/A. They very much enjoy sensual intimacy; close hugs, messages, kisses, general tender affection…. However, there is no sweeping under the rug their trauma and how that effects a relationship, particularly physical intimacy. Deep trust, patience, and understanding necessary….which is what they found with Donatella.
In regards to diadop….well, Doppio’s confusing and at times guilty feelings for the boss was a secret she thought she’d take to the grave. Diavolo knowing of course, but not saying anything about it, being just as uncertain and afraid to a degree, yet still never holding back in voicing how much he adores and values her. The road after everything comes to light is bumpy at times, but eventually they come to understand each other, the self, on a deeply intimate level. This’ll be talked about more on Sundays prompt.
Now onto the genderfluid part…. Overall, that’s how they identify. Individually; Doppio leans more fem, and Diavolo more masc, however for Diavolo cosmetics and attire plays no role in expression, as he will wear lipstick etc no matter the gender of the moment. So he is gender non conforming. There are others of their system that have no gender, those being s’ and king crimson. While Solido is strictly masc, though similar to Diavolo, sometimes enjoys wearing cosmetics. Then there is Madre who is strictly fem and will dress as such, tho she very rarely fronts.
Being raised in a catholic community and strict rules of the priest meant any gender expression beyond what was meant as a boy, was met with punishment. It was Donatella’s gentle patience that coaxed them out of that suffocating closet, that it was okay to feel otherwise. Yet that internal guilt and shame persisted over the years. Seen far less in Doppio, whom is often reassured by Diavolo to express the self however so. Eventually becoming comfortable in their identity in later years as they grow and become a more integrated system.
