So as 2020 comes to a close and lockdown 2.0 starts, the last day of warm weather was about to leave, we hit the road and found some new awesome places. A short Range test on the DJi FPV goggles, with a slight penetration test after flying out and having the signal going through the ground, it didnt have any issues. Only issue we had was when flying 50mb/s next to each other, you would saturate the others feed and they would have a frozen frame, as Tony found out and snapped his Quadcopter in half! So, 2020, after being royally screwed, we finally got a FPV trip out. First stop was the coast, after upgrading to the HD DJi setup and slapping in the fresh new crossfire micro V2, (oh and some new packs) it was time to push them range limits! Well southern airshow at Headcorn Aerodrome was bloody awesome! MWM warbirds put on a great show, even though Billys RV4 lost control and ended up on a bonfire. Managed to get a few Xclass displays in over the 2 days, along with some flying in pitch darkness through fireworks, which resulted in 2 broken quads! 2 day Kayak trip up the River medway, from Leigh to East Peckham. Roughly 10 miles each way, with stop over in some woods listening to stealth Tonstar try not to be quiet or was it loud?! Going to East Peckham wasn't too hard with the run offs at the locks for the canoes and kayaks to do, but then Tonstar decided that he wanted to try and find us a good camping spot down a ditch that the fields use as a run off. Proper stinky green water, and about 15mins in, it went from 6ft wide to 4ft wide and Tony was in a sea kayak! So i had to tow him out backwards and back to the main river! But it was fun! I did my first river swim and panic'd haha, but it was good and i cant wait for the next one! Thanks for watching!
