Some updates on what I'm working on for my fanfic -- I'm in my drawing phase right now because the writing/coding is mostly done.

Giant out of context spoiler, but I decided to give Vuzgamand a glow-up. Yes, I'm sorry I had a "oh no she's hot" moment yet again. I needed to change her design a bit for my fanfic. This is still a work in progress, but I wanted her design to scream sexy, dangerous, evil, boss-lady. I kept the same color theme and sorta the same clothing design. She'll have a weapons in my fanfic! And along with my Nitsa re-design, Vuzgamand will also have a "demon" version with altered skin and eyes.

Following Lovestruck tradition, yes...Vuzgamand doesn't know how to button up her shirt either. Boobies out, let's go!

After some writer's block on handling the ending of ep3...I've finally figured it out. I deleted my original ep3 ending because I wasn't happy with it. The new scenes are coded in now, there's a total of EIGHT scenes! Have a lot of drawings to do now, not really sure which scenes I want to add mini-CGs for. But most likely 4 mini-CG and 1 main CG.

Anyways, enjoy these out of context screenshots for now. Still a work in progress, but I'm excited to get ep3 done.

Hello how are doing?

Today i finally finished the second chapter of my Vinca Wren fanfic, and currently drawing the CG and mini CG.

I really loved the Yvette vs. MC scene and Ripley asking MC her type (my type is...SWM type😁).

PS: Where are the other options? I wanted to show the first CG but i can't find the img option, but you can see it on my AO3 profile Storytales90. Good luck with your work and just a curiosity: If you have to write a Vinca Wren route, how could and would be? Have a nice day. 😃

ah, the ripley scene is for ep3. it was a preview! i'm re-writing ep3 last scene because i wasn't happy with how the original was.

i think @rockchick82 had a great idea for a vinca route w/ a new MC. we decided to use a new MC because the original SWM MC would be with onyx.

i'm not experienced enough to write a vinca route, she's a very complex character. but i think if i were to write a short fanfic, i would also design a new MC.

I'm almost done coding in ep3 and adding in more choices! My game isn't limited to 3 choices like Lovestruck, the reader can have more choices. Of course it's more writing for me, but I felt this scene needed all these options.

There's still quite a bit of editing to do for the writing, but I'm running through the game several times to fix the dialogue/narration while coding in the last bits.

Lovestruck in-game VS real life photography, San Francisco as seen in Villainous Nights and other series.

Union Square Events take place here and there's an ice skating rink in the winter months. The ice skating rink scene from Duke's route is one of my favorites. And iirc, he also proposed here to the MC.

Dolores Park A lot of characters had scenes here! I still remember the scene that took place at night, where Andi took off her mask to kiss MC. (Ok, but the one that killed me the most was that scene with young Renzei from Razi's route.) From this park you can get a very good view of the San Francisco skyline.

Bay View Another popular spot for scenes in the series. The best view is at Pier 7 along the Embarcadero. You'll see the iconic lamp posts and benches. There was a heart felt scene that took place here from Renzei's route at nighttime.

Downtown I couldn't get the exact location like the one in-game, but there's a really nice similar spot at the intersection of Powell St and California St that a lot of photographers go to because it's up a big hill. If you stand in the middle of the crosswalk on Powell you can get a good view of the city. Instead of Optimus tower, you'll see the iconic triangle shape Transamerica tower.

Optimus The tower which Optimus is inspired by is actually the Salesforce Tower. You can walk around the plaza and transit center nearby, but obviously can't go up to the offices. But, I'm guessing the design of Optimus' interior might have been inspired by the Salesforce transit center.

WIP updates on my visual novel fanfic! Some out of context screenshots.

Almost done coding in all of ep3. I had to do some character sprite drawing updates, so you'll see something new for Ripley, never before seen in Lovestruck.

I'm also LMAO because I've been wanting to write the silly cupcake scene. The troupe likes Onyx's cupcakes, but MC might suffer.

I noticed the new "this blog hasn't posted in a long time" notifications. Which cannot be disabled, it's a permanent thing now? And it feels super awkward to me.

So, I'm posting this to let people know what this blog is mainly about. If it captures your interest, then great. If not, then feel free to unfollow.

What I'm working on right now:

Lovestruck visual novel fanfic, Night of Sin: Encore Stage, which takes place in an alternate universe Sin w/ Me world. This series will feature two characters, Ripley (Envy) and Quillan (Sorrow/Shadow).

Currently, Ripley's route has a prologue, ep1, and ep2. I'm working on coding in ep3. The story plot draft has been completed for all 4 planned seasons. There will be a total of 7 episodes with 5000-6000 words per episode. This makes each season around 40000 words, about the same as a typical Lovestruck 12 episode structure season.

Night of Sin: Encore Stage is the sequel to Night of Sin: Pride, which is a prequel fanfic to Sin w/ Me, also taking place in an alternate universe. The prequel has prologue, ep1-7, and an epilogue. It's fully completed and available to read free here: nightofsin.itch.io

I say alternate universe, because some characters' background stories have changed, but otherwise it's largely the same. I didn't want to do canon universe because I wanted more freedom.

(Yes I'm working on these projects solo.)

But yeah, this is a general update to what's going on with this blog. Since we all know Lovestruck shutdown a while ago.

Bet this comes as a surprise since I just finished ep2 a couple days ago, but hey...surprise? The first draft of all the text in ep3 has been coded in! It's about 5500 words long, but I still have to edit it.

Enjoy this sample excerpt from ep3! I find it funny I had both Onyx and Ripley ask the MC what her type is. Must be an Envy thing? :-)

Ripley “So, how about you? Who’s your type?” MC “Uh…” Ripley gets up and close, in my face and teases me. Ripley “Oh, maybe bad boys like Darius?” “Stupidly hot, yet rude jerks who have a soft, sweet caramel center like Cal?” “Kind, gentle giants like Malakai?” “Absolutely gorgeous, muscular women like Wrath?” “How about flirty, cute blondes like Onyx?”

Some WIP on the CG, slowly getting it done.

I've been studying Lovestruck CG style down to tiny details like how they draw eyes, how they add shadow, where highlight is added. But, ultimately, sometimes I can't imitate certain things cause I'm not using the same tablet/programs as them.

But, I think in trying to imitate Lovestruck style art, I ended up with a weird hybrid between my style and their style.

Good evening! After two awful days of flu A/H1N1, now i've enough energy to say hello and thank you for doing something awesome: make me agree with Cal!

Touché Cal, 😂😂🤣🤣. Now i have to heal fully from the flu and return to my routine.

I based on the Watchers:

In the Book of Enoch, the watchers are angels dispatched to Earth to watch over the humans. They soon begin to lust for human women and, at the prodding of their leader Samyaza, defect to illicitly instruct humanity and procreate among them. The offspring of these unions are the Nephilim, savage giants who pillage the earth and endanger humanity.

I'm unable to discover what happened about the Vinca Wren fan-made, any suggesstion about what to do? In meantime i'll continue to write the fic.

In times when I don't really know what to do, I leave the story open ended so the reader can decide.

So perhaps you can do that with the AU story you're working on.

Like my SWM AU prequel ending, I left it open ended. Even in the epilogue, I left Onyx questioning...what *really* happened? I gave a lot of hints in the story what may have happened.

I do have an AU version of what happened, but I won't reveal it until the appropriate time. :-)

Because I'm crazy, I decided to draw 4 brand new mini-CG for ep2. Never before seen in Lovestruck before! They've been coded in and I'm really excited to finish the main CG and add that in soon too.

Yeah, as soon as I finish and test the CG and mini-CGs into the story, I should be able to release it. I'm excited to finish Ripley's S1. Because I've already written S1EP7 ending.

Each one of my seasons will have 7 episodes at around 5000-6000 words. I'm not sure how long Lovestruck stories were? Was each season 30k-40k words?

Some WIP on my fanfic visual novel...

Was having an artist's block and out of ideas for which scene I wanted to use as EP2 main CG, so I went back to study some Lovestruck character CG compositions.

For CGs, I really liked the one from QoT of Remy and the MC in an argument. Looked up reference photos and sketched something similar that matched my writing. It might be spoilers, might not be spoilers...I don't really know since it's out of context.

Uh, for writing...I've finished half of EP4!!! The beginning of EP4 is pretty dark, but I like how it flows from EP3. There are two new characters appearing in EP4, so I'll have to start working on their character sprites.

WIP updates and some out of context screenshots from ep2!

About finished editing ep2, it's quite a long episode and I'm starting to draw the mini-CGs and figuring out which scene I want to be the main CG. Editing takes the longest since I have to re-play the story over and over again and make small changes to writing and animations to make sure everything goes smoothly.

I've also finished a rough draft of ep3, it's a normal length episode at about 5000 words, un-edited. I'm going to try to keep my episodes between 5000-6500 words long.

ALSO, I've attempted to plot out the remaining episodes for season 1. I've got no experience plotting multi-season stories, so this is a first for me. I'm not sure if I'm happy with the plot, but I've decided to just roll with it and move onto planning other seasons and stories.

A large issue that constantly plagues me is that I gotta keep reminding myself this is a fanfic -- and while I can try to make it as close to Lovestruck quality as possible, it'll be difficult since I'm only one person.

Anyways, ep2 release soon...? After I finish all the drawings...maybe a week or two weeks...?
