...what is the "sex is just rock climbing" category

It was kind of a joke between me and a friend ("you wouldn't judge someone for having gone rock climbing with a bunch of different people") but honestly the more I thought about it the more I bought into it unironically because:

It is a physical activity done with one or more partners

You should only go rock climbing with people you trust to not let you fall

You should not go rock climbing with someone who is drunk or currently incapable of rational decision-making

Some people get super super super into rock climbing and do not shut up about all the places they have climbed and how many are left on their bucket list and these people are usually men between the ages of 20 and 35 and like it's fine dude I'm glad you're happy but I don't know what most of those mountains even are

While many consider it a fun activity, pressuring someone into climbing when they don't want to (or ignoring their feelings and just dangling them off a cliff,) could cause both psychological and physical trauma

There is no moral value to it whatsoever. Who you have gone rock climbing with (or whether you have rock climbed at all) has no bearing on who you are as a person. Imagine telling someone "it's not that heights make you nauseous, it's just that you haven't found the right person to belay you!" or "you need to save your first time rock climbing for someone special." That would be absurd.

For some people it is a deep and moving personal experience.

historically I have not asked myself "will this aggravate my hip flexor injury" before participating when perhaps I should have 😔

Hey there, recently I've been intrigued by your series with Shock, Lock, Barrel, and Callie. I'm not sure if it's possible for you to do this since most of these characters are initially from someone else's movie, but I'd like to know if you could make some kind of merch? I do like the things that have already been made but I've also been wanting merchandise items from the aged up versions you've done. I absolutely love the clothing you've given then and the accessories an' such which might be easier to do than stickers or pins with the characters 'cause copyright claims an' such. I'm not sure how all that works but I figured I'd put it out there just in case lol keep up the great work!

Thanks for the interest! I don't want to sell merch because it's very important to me to have one hobby that I don't monetize. As soon as something involves other people's money it stresses me out and becomes unfun for me.

I am also extremely wary about selling anything Disney-related, even if they are truly redesigns, due to copyright.

Reupping this today in response to this garbage from JKR

JKR assumes that everycis wants to be the volunteer genital police, and that said hobbycops will always be able to tell who's trans and who's not.

This an easy way for cis allies, specifically, to take concrete action to make this brownshirt crap more difficult.

Please note that "maybe I'm trans" badges or "trans ally" badges have the opposite effect, and clearly identify you as a cis ally. That's nice to see around and about, but it doesn't function as chaff. It's a different thing.

This is a step to make yourself a plausible target.

And if you're thinking "Well, I would, but nobody would believe I'M trans!" you would not believe the brainwormed takes of the kind of transvestigtor who is so tautly wound they're ready to call out some trans-looking lady in the loos.

I've seen people argue the fuckin pope is trans.

They really might believe you are.

So if you're cis and you're up for it, this helps.

THE CHAFF PROJECT

Hi! Are you cis in the UK and you'd like to support trans rights? Great!

How: buy a trans flag pin and wear it in public.

Why: chaff is an overwhelming amount of false positives so that when a missile gets close to the plane, it hits the chaff and not the plane.

In practice: the goal is to make it DIFFICULT to identify trans people to target with bathroom bans, and to create many FALSE POSITIVES for businesses.

Basically, you might get accused of being trans and kicked out, because of the badge. You say: I wear the badge because trans rights matter.

You follow up with a letter to the business saying you're fucking furious because some nosy dipshit just tried to play fucking genital police with you in the loos. You know lots of trans people (don't name any, if you do) and you wear the pin in support and you're disgusted at them for allowing this.

Blame the business for allowing the behaviour.

Businesses see that their cis customers are getting bothered over a badge and may clarify trans-inclusive policies, so they can kick out the bathroom botherers instead of nice cis allies.

You only need to buy and wear the badge, and you are protecting trans people. You can be genuinely heroic. Even one cis person doing this helps, and everyone you get to join in helps even more.

"We trained a pigeon to recognise cancerous cell clusters and somehow they're really good at it" okay great, that's something that could plausibly be a thing.
