"You could assist me, you know." she said, not wanting to dig through a mattress. She will however, be taking pipes.

“Fine, fine,” he mutters and goes to the bathroom, ripping fixtures off of the sink and bathtub. Hopefully nobody was going to want to use these anytime soon.

The now empty cans are tossed into the pile as well and she continues rummaging through the little house, fully determined to find everything.

“Don’t forget the springs in the mattresses.”

She moves out of his way as he reached up, then slowly took the cans from him. "She understands my reasoning." The cans were taken to a corner of the room and opened, and dumped out.

“Self preservation at all costs. I get it.”

"I am well aware of humor, and it is not driven by code." anything metal, or has metal in it is tossed into a small pile in the middle of the floor, "I do not trust you enough to allow potentially dangerous scenarios be classified as a joke." She stares up at a high shelf of food cans and sneers at it.

“Fair enough, but Caroline could always tell when I was joking, and being serious. Listen to her when it comes to me. You won’t regret it,” he says, reaching up and pulling down some of the food cans for her.

She's clearly bothered by it, but as usual she pushes it aside to remain on task.

“Actually, that would probably fall under the hyperbole or sarcasm subroutines. The point is I didn’t mean it and wasn’t actually going to push you outside. Sorry I made you feel threatened.”

"You just threatened me that if I told you, you would throw me outside alone." a few trust points lost and she moves away from the window to scour the little house.

“Humor processors don’t exist in that body, do they?”

The look she gave him said plenty without the need for words.

“Okay, so, you do have something in mind. And you’re not going to tell me, are you.”

"There is no reason to make it more complicated than it needs to be."

“Well, without a stash of natural gas or coal, nuclear is the only thing I can think of that would get that hot. Unless you know something I don’t, and if you say several things I swear I will shove you out the door and lock it behind you.”

She continues picking at a crack in the window idly, "We should begin finding materials. We will require a heat source as well. We should focus on extracting silica from the natural substances first."

“Well, in order to extract the silica from the sand around here, you’d have to make a fire that’s hotter than the blazes of Hell itself. Might have to look around for something nuclear.”

"I am better at aiming than they are. Do not insult me."

“Heh, seems like the three of you should have a shooting contest. Might be a good laugh at the very least.”

"You are not Aperture. I am Aperture." she argued, but it lacked hostility. "Do not defend them, they are monsters." She shifted a bit to get a better view, "If I had weapons I would cease their existence. They are not necessary to return home with." She picks at a crack in the window in contemplation.

“You would kill all of them? Or just the two males? Because you know they are going to put up a fight, and they are more skilled with a shootin’ iron than you are.”

"They are a threat, regardless of that fact. Be it you who trusts a human with a hatred of AI."

“I think it’s more just us, seeing as how were basically ARE Aperture. Although Mr. Rattmann is technically an Aperture AI in a meat vessel, so who knows.”

"I like knowing the location of threats." she explained, still watching.

“So you’ve got an eye on Jack and Nate? They said as long as I’m with you, then they won’t pose a threat.”

"Surveillance."

“Miss your cameras?”

She doesn't voice her opinion and simply continues watching the others.

“Well, this isn’t awkward or anything. Why do you keep giving them the thousand yard stare?”

"Yes. There is one already in my facility, connected to my facility. Though it will take time. It would be quicker if I had assistance." she said with a slight growl in her tone, still watching out of the window.

"I'll give you a hand."

"They can stay if they choose."

"Can you make a multiverse device by yourself?"
