Way I see it, we got a lot to celebrate.

This blog is getting ready to turn three years old in just a couple of weeks! In that three years, I’ve met a lot of Appalachian artists, musicians, creators, writers, advocates, and friends. 5000+ followers of them, as of this month! AND, the blog isn’t the only one with a birthday. I just hit my 25th birthday last week, and if that’s not a reason to celebrate, what is? I don’t care if I lose followers, I unapologetically will always support the right to a gun for self-defense. The world is dangerous, for some more than others. Whether the danger comes from the area you live in, the color of your skin, your sexuality, your religion, your gender or your disability, etc, you should have the ability to defend yourself as you see fit.

No one should have to rely solely on law enforcement and gun free zones for protection, especially when law enforcement is just as likely to brutalize as to protect and gun free zones are just as likely to create targets as to create safe spaces.

If you don’t feel comfortable with guns, don’t buy a gun.
