You know, it's kinda funny how much of high fantasy centers around kings and nobility and courtly intrigue considering that the archetypal high fantasy, Lord of the Rings, had the rather explicit moral of "saving the world is up to this backwater hick and his gardener because no politician, least of all inherited nobility, would have the ability to see past their own ambition and throw away a weapon". Oh sure, Aragorn is a great king and all, but there's a reason he's over there running a distraction ring while the hobbits do the real work. Sauron loses because he gets distracted by kings and armies and great battles (i.e. typical high fantasy stuff) letting Frodo and Sam sneak through his back door and blow it all to hell.
Just saying, maybe old Jirt knew what he was saying when he said that the small folk doing their best and holding to each other was more powerful than a dozen alliances and superweapons and we should respect him for it.

the 100 is placed on an appropriate list, was surprised to see it was only at ten but the other ending were really bad so I guess I get it. the 100 ended terribly and it should go down in History as one of the worst endings so it feels really good to see that happen.

Chapters: 1/1 Fandom: The 100 (TV), The 100 Series - Kass Morgan Rating: Teen And Up Audiences Warnings: No Archive Warnings Apply Relationships: Bellamy Blake/Clarke Griffin Characters: Bellamy Blake, Clarke Griffin, Gabriel Santiago | Xavier, Raven Reyes (The 100), Octavia Blake, Madi (The 100), Echo (The 100), Nathan Miller, Eric Jackson (The 100), Becca (The 100), Bill Cadogan, other canon characters as required, OC character - Rosa Santiago Additional Tags: Story takes off after the bellarke sunrise hug, Bellarke adventure/romance, Time Travel, Bellamy and Clarke save the world, Multi-Chapter story, Canon Divergent, Canon compliant through most of season 6 Summary:
Gabriel Santiago has figured out a way to save Earth from ever having been destroyed in the first place. All it will take is for Bellamy and Clarke to use the Stone to travel back to 21st-century Earth. Unfortunately, this might involve some danger for all the Ark and Grounder survivors, and besides, Bellamy has some personal issues to take care of before he can go off on a mission with Clarke.
But then… the mission turns out to be not as straightforward as they’d thought. Not to mention the problem of both Bellamy and Clarke trying to save the world while also navigating their own unacknowledged feelings for one another.
Here it is!
I’m very excited to finally be posting the first chapter of my multi-chapter canonverse fic wherein Clarke and Bellamy try to save the world.   It’s definitely not a Season 7 fixit because you can’t fix the unfixable, but is more of an alt Season 7 story, with a few (very few) Season 7 elements sprinkled in.  It mostly takes place on 21st-century Earth.
Chapter 1 is the setup chapter, so I may post Chapter 2 in a couple of days just to get readers headed in the right direction.  After that, fingers crossed, I hope to post a chapter a week.
It promises be a long and involved adventure — with a side of Bellarke romance — and I really hope you enjoy it.

The 100 (s1-s6): a shi-fi show that focuses on humanity and how far humans can go in order to survive or save the people they love. It shows the worst of humanity but also the best, with the hope that humans can ultimately change and do better/be the good guys. Clarke Griffin is the hero of the story and the main character. Bellamy Blake is also the hero of the story and the second main character. Bellarke is the central relationship of the show, they’re the head and the heart, saving humanity together.
The 100 (s7): Clarke Griffin is sidelined for the majority of the season and then villainized because apparently she was ‘never really the hero’. Bellamy Blake is also sidelined for ten episodes, then villainized, then killed off in the most disrespectful yet underwhelming way possible. Bellarke suddenly doesn’t matter (both as a relationship and as humanity’s leaders) and Clarke can just kill Bellamy over a book with no consequences whatsover. Finally, it shows that humanity is terrible and selfish, and is never going to change. There’s no hope to do better so the best possible outcome is that everybody ‘transcends’ to a place that isn’t much different from the CoL, and the human race goes entirely extinct. :)

Bellarke AU
If other universes exist I hope we’re happy somewhere. That there are universes where history doesn’t pull us apart and we become a tragic story full of sorrow and regret, ones where we don’t become our own undoing that only history would remember us for. I know in this story we could never belong to each other, but if there is another universe, another story, another us I hope we can love each other until our dying day.
— history became cruel to star-crossed lovers, they could never end up happy | our violent ends. //t.c

when it comes to time travel i do love it when a show, a film, or a book is willing to go all in with the mind bending stuff. TTTW tv show goes places the film certainly didn’t and maybe even the book really going all in with the concept and actually addressing some of the undertones here.
