☠  —  don’t  open,  dead  inside  !  oh,  wait  !  that’s  just  jae  choi,  you  know,  the  male  runner  in  the  mountaintop  community.  he  is  27  years  old  and  looks  a  lot  like  nam  joohyuk,  but  i  mostly  just  see  them  wielding  a  bow  and  arrow.  now  that  you  mention  it,  i  don’t  think  i’ve  ever  seen  them  without  their  wedding  ring.  which  makes  sense,  since  they  seem  to  remind  everyone  else  in  their  group  of  blood  stained  hands,  the  look  of  disappointment  your  parents  gave  you  when  you  did  something  wrong,  and  never  saying  what’s  truly  on  your  mind  in  fear  of  harming  others.  well,  hurry  up  and  let  them  in  !  we  can’t  leave  them  for  the  walkers  !  —  (  toni  .  21.  gmt.  she/her.  )
i couldn’t help myself! the only thing i want for jae is a wife so i’d check the wanted connections for that if you’re interested. he may even have a few family members around too.

jaemin choi was born in busan, korea and lived there for the first four years of his life. his family later moved around the us and settled on nashville.
his parents always had high expectations of him, he was going to go to college, marry and have the perfect job with the perfect family. life didn’t go in their favour, while jae did attend college he wasn’t studying to become a doctor - rather a lawyer which wasn’t a bad choice but it wasn’t his parents.
he got his longtime pregnant at the age of twenty-two which was another shame for his family, they wanted him to marry - probably an arranged match if it was up to them but the moment they found out she was pregnant they were forced into a marriage.
their son was born in the summer but his life went back to normal, despite the fact his parents had told him his life was ruined. it actually wasn’t. school was difficult but he could manage.
at the age of twenty-five, his wife had given birth to another child, this one was another boy but maybe he was a mistake, at least their eldest had a chance to make it in this world, a baby not so much.
when the walkers attacked, jae didn’t know what to do, he couldn’t abandon his family but he also couldn’t go and save the people who had raised him, they had a meeting point but unfortunately his family had never made it. instead they had joined a community where both he and his wife fit in relatively well.
jae became a runner, and while he wasn’t the most athletic, it was a role he fit quite well. at least their children had some hope to grow up and become functional people. and at least they had a place to call home.
