Messing around with colors, seeing what works. Trying for what could pass for a blacksmith aesthetic with a splash of color from the tabard.

ultimately the truth about frankenstein is that we are all grotesque amalgamations of the best and worst parts of everyone who came before us. and sometimes the people who are supposed to love us because of and in spite of this will not. and we can kill them with hammers for that. and i think that’s beautiful

As it was mention in my previous GQuuuuuuX post’s replies, I looked into what the deal was with Tōru Furuya, the long-time VA for Amuro Ray, and… yikes.
I can see why the aversion to include the character in a show which plays with characters from the original series. I can’t seem to find a definitive statement on whether Bandai will replace him, nor if Furuya chose to step down from the role like he did others.
It’s probably safe to assume the two parties would part ways for future projects.

That sure was an ending.
I'm glad to be proven wrong about my initial wild theory that Amuro was the one to cause the time divergence. Makes more sense for it to be Lalah. I would argue it seems a bit cowardly to not have it all stem from the original series, and instead keeping it isolated in the mainstream continuity. But that's really a nitpick of a hill not worth dying on.
But the lack of Amuro in appearance feels weird considering how crucial he is to the dynamic between him, Char and Lalah. I'm not one to buy into conspiracies like my coworker, so I'll wait to hear word from the source in whatever postmortem interview occurs. But when Artesia has more screentime, it does come off as a deliberate choice in the grand scheme of things. But I digress.
I also cannot help but do the Leonardo "point at the screen" meme when Char kills off Kycilia in the exact same manner as in the original series. Props to the studio for retaining that in this new timeline.
(I would totally gif the new version if I had more time on my lunch break.)
Is this a wrap? Feels like it. I could do for another season to expand more on this new universe. Not enough time was allotted for what was introduced before discarding it for the main story, imo.

I'm not a New Yorker, so this mayoral race has nothing to do with me. I do not really know the policies of both candidates, but I do commend them for this sort of genuine camaraderie that is sorely missing in government.

As I make my downtown into the Underdark once more, I’m surprised by how I was able to rid the Bulette of its temp HP in the first encounter. The location where it appeared is one I fought it before—the area right before the myconid village and where you jump a gap toward the drow sword. Only this time it never got the change to Deadly Leap on my squishy sorcerer as it fell prone on the tiniest pixels of ice. A few dozen throws from Karlach with the Returning Pike, and I got it just below its max HP.
For once, RNG worked in my favor 😩

Being told upfront that a visit with Urgent Care without insurance would have cost me $175. Cool. Great. Thanks for the warning. I’ll try my luck with the comprehensive clinic, which has yet to open its doors but has people waiting outside to go in like it’s a Sunday morning at Ruby Tuesday.
