Pray For Boston

This goes out to those motherfuckers who think they have the right to take the lives of others: I’m not going to go off with a long lecture on how this is morally wrong. Nor am I gonna say that you deserve to die. In truth, you DON’T. You deserve to live a long life filled with guilt and regret. You deserve to grow old with the memory of you taking away the lives of innocent people. People like you don't deserve to die. That's almost too easy. Death is not justice. Justice can never be attained for the killing of others. I just pray that you will come to the realization that you have not only taken the lives of others, but you have also ruined the rest of those victims' families' lives and futures. As for the families of the victims involved in the Boston Bombing, my thoughts and prayers go out to you. Just remember that although your loved ones may not be here physically, they will always be watching you from heaven.

Anorexia

sixteen years old, 5'4", 93 lbs; that's me in a nutshell. At first glance, you might think that I'm malnourished or anorexic. Many people - and I mean MANY - have called me anorexic. "You're too skinny," "You should eat more," "You're freaking anorexic dude." Yeah. I get that a lot. It's not a compliment. I don't choose to be this skinny, it's hereditary. Regardless, there are many people in the world who hear the same things. Do you know why they're that skinny? What if they can't afford to eat as much? What if it's just genetics? What if they're medically anorexic? Calling someone anorexic is just as bad as calling someone obese. Girls who are very skinny may not even want to be skinny. Believe it or not, some would rather get some meat in their bones. Anorexia is a PROBLEM that should not be acknowledged by insults. Numerous people are suffering from it and it can potentially be life threatening. So please, choose your words wisely. Think about it.

Stop the hate & spread the love.

This week, THIS WEEK ALONE, I heard about two committed suicides. TWO. Now some may say that that’s just two but I think that's two too many. One of the main problems today is that people are just too damn mean. You never know if the person you are being mean to is having a hard time. What if they were already contemplating suicide? And you just gave them a push towards that. I know, those who know me are gonna call me a hypocrite because I do admit that I can be unnecessarily mean. But realizing that the mean things I do can potentially affect others negatively has greatly changed my perception. It's not that hard to be nice to people. You don't even have to change completely in order to be nice. Just stop the little negative things like making rude comments or talking shit. The little things, when added up, can actually make a big difference. And who knows? Maybe you can save someone's life.
