5 Bad Reasons to Startup
1. You want more Money
There's a pre-convention that startups are made to earn truck loads of money. But remember, over 95% of the startups fail, 80% in their 1st year itself. A small percent of the remaining ones make any significant impact in terms of making money.
Passion to build should always be the driving factor to startup, not money.

2. You don't want to work for long hours
Hate working 10hours a day? How about 18? Your startup is like your baby and you need to work almost round the clock to see that it grows well and sustains itself. If you think that by starting up a product, you get all the freedom and 'being-my-own-boss' is cool, Sir, it is not.
Fancy that lifestyle startup CEOs with a Macbook on a beach? Good luck figuring out how they achieved that and what's running in their mind while they sip the mocktail on a beach table. It's about their company 24x7.
3. You hate your current boss.
You can do a successful startup only if you admire your current boss in your successful company. Yes, there are those asshole bosses everywhere around and you might even end up turning to be on such yourself unknowingly. The best you can do is to go find another job at an other awesome company where the job is exciting and the boss sucks less. But the hatred towards your current job and/or boss, isn't a good reason to do your own startup.
You need to make tough decisions, almost every day in your startup and your relations with employees, family and friends take a beating. Now, keep wondering what they think about you.
4. You love fame & success
Be prepared to fail. Starting up is glorified, but as someone who ventured out into this recently, I can tell you one thing for sure - it's an untrodden path and success is a remote chance. You need to enjoy the whole walk, work and expect that it leads to a great destination. It's good to be successful, but it isn't all that bad if you failed unless you learn nothing.
When you fail, it's only you and be prepared to take the entire blame head on. You are the captain and you steer the ship.
