One thing Heart of Trespia is doing better than Dracula: Even if you don't romance someone, you can be close to them. If you don't romance Leo, he gets attached to our Sister instead and barely talks to us. That really bugs me.

Look, I'm excited for that book, but these attributes make no sense. The ocean is emotion incarnate. Ebb and flow, raging waves, balancing between giving and taking, life and death.. The sea isn't steadfast or thoughtful, it's wild and can't be tamed. I want to pick ocean because ocean but this ain't it.
