Charity Commissions for Ukraine

Hello all. As you may know, I crochet a little bit and have decided to open commissions (sort of) in order to be able to donate something to charities helping people fleeing the Ukraine. 

What will be available to purchase? For now, I am thinking of opening 3 bandana slots. You can see the examples of bandanas I’ve made before in my tag - either /tagged/crochet or /tagged/my-stuff. Single bandana would require a donation of minimum £15 (plus covering postage). I would require proof of donation to a given charity/crisis appeal in your country (alternatively, money can be sent to me on PayPal and I will donate it to Ukrainian Crisis Appeal hosted by the British Red Cross). 

What can I get? Any bandana, like the one’s I’ve made before (showcased below). Alternatively, I can make one of solid material (can’t explain it better - just without the gaps). As this is for charity, I will not be ordering yarns - you will have a choice of colours I currently have. I will be filling the spots until this evening, and in the event of lack of people willing to donate, I will pick colours myself and make three bandanas to sell, so if you want one in a specific colour, DM sooner rather than later. 

Commission slots open on the first come, first serve basis and I will most likely open more once I have hopefully finished with these 3 slots. Please consider participating - you get a cute bandana out of it and money goes to people who now desperately need it. Do not worry if you are not in position to donate (I’m not either, hence I’m doing this and trying to volunteer). Spreading the word is as helpful. Reblogs are hugely appreciated. Please spread the word & keep helping however you can.

mutual aid needed

hello all! i’m making this post on behalf of my dear friend ewa, who has found herself in a very difficult situation. long story short, she is completely estranged from her family because of her abusive father. therefore, she has to completely provide for herself (in poland, at least, usually, parents help you out financially while you study at uni), while studying and dealing with severe mental health issues such as bpd and depression (she also recently lost access to state provided therapy). she needs help paying for rent, food, meds and transportation until she gets her next paycheck from her new job, and they unfortunately only pay you when you’ve worked there for a full month, which for her will be late november.

she needs money for rent (£450 for two months), food and meds (£200) and transport (£100). this is then £750 total to survive the next two months. she doesn’t have a p//ay//pal acc, which is why i have set up a pool for her.

hey i really didnt want to do this but my financial worries are getting a bit too much. i have to pay for pet insurance (£14) tomorrow and i currently have about £12 to my name, which i also need to commute to work on sunday and monday. i also need to eat. i will hopefully get paid next week but until then i dont know how im going to make it. 

i dont particularly want to list all my issues etc on here, but ive been struggling a lot lately, to say the least. if you are able to help, i will really appreciate it, if not, dont worry please. as much as rebloging this post is great help & hugely appreciated.  i think the least i need is about £50 (for comfort), but i will be happy with anything, as much as to be able to cover pet insurance will be enough. anything will help. please and thank you.  p*yp*l here

Today, the African American community lost a great man, Michael K. Williams. Michael struggled with substance abuse and addiction most of his life, like many vulnerable Black people in this country. He spoke openly about this during his life growing up in NYC. Please consider donating to fundraisers and campaigns supporting Black people dealing with substance abuse. We don’t deserve to be alone in this struggle, and neither did Michael.

You can also consider donating to VOCAL-NY, which is a grassroots organization in New York that directly supports poor Black people, people with HIV/AIDS, those dealing with substance abuse & addiction, the incarcerated, and people dealing with homelessness.

Good day everyone, im asking financial support for my older brother Bernie Obejera who is confined in Rodriguez Memorial Medical Center, He suffers from chronic kidney disease stage V that needs to undergo dialysis.  Every session of dialysis cost around 10,000 pesos.
