I really think that a book the dark academia society should read is Interview With The Vampire

- it has a gay couple and they have a daughter 

- beautiful writing style

- set in old America (and the second book is set in Europe, mainly France)

- amazing characters

- vampires

- main themes of immortality, wisdom, knowledge, god and evil
