Balay Suanoy, a Spanish house turned into a restaurant.
An ancestral house that was owned by Don Distacamento Oscar and later passed on to his family was converted into a bed-and-breakfast restaurant. It is located in Pag-asa, Daraga, Albay. This restaurant started to operate last December, 2010 and also serves as a museum at the same time.
The interior of this place exhibits a glimpse of the Spanish colonial period in the area. Antique furnitures, pictures and vintage materials were preserved carefully and were displayed in the resto to show what "sinaunang panahon" looks like.
The setting in this resto is suited mainly formal gatherings and also other events.

IshiAya's Garden Bistro, a Japanese Filipino-inspired restaurant. The restaurant is owned by the sexy actress, Miss Aya Medel. She thought of putting up a restaurant just for her own pleasure because cooking is her passion.
The interior design of the place is all product of her own creativity. There is a painting of Mayon Volcano as well as the Cagraray islands on the wall to add an aesthetic appearance in the restaurant since the scenery cannot be seen inside the resto. Also, she conceptualized of promoting Bicol artistry by asking the Binaday brothers of Malilipot, Albay to make some paintings for her.
The interior design was appealing to the eye as well as the exterior ambiance. The interior ambiance of the restaurant is of Filipino side while the exterior setting shows a sudden shift in the atmosphere, having a Japanese characteristics. Even the shift in appearance can be seen in the service crews. Some of them are in Japanese attire while others wear traditional Filipino costumes.
The place is worth-visiting and if I would have a chance to go back there, I would absolutely grab that opportunity to go back to that resto.
