For this image I wanted to do basically the opposite of the other image as I took out a ton of the blues. I used the Hue/saturation filter to change the color of the sky to a more sunset-like color and used a layer mask to hide the areas I did not want affected. I also used a color balance filter to warm up the foreground to make the lighting match the sky a little bit better

For this image I lightened the foreground to bring the brightness closer to that of the sky, I also darkened the sky. I used a black and white gradient map, set to reverse, opacity at 35%, with it blended in the “low light” filter to add an effect of depth the image. I used a curves filter and brought out the blues in the sky and warmed up the foreground just a bit

This is the edit of this image I like the most out of my two. I wanted to really bring down the color so I did so with a black and white filter with a higher opacity. I brought the exposure down on everything but the woman in the image to make her stand out. I darkened the shadows on her face and clothes because I wanted to add some more dynamic and dramatic light. I did this by using the same layer mask I used to darken the background, just changed the opacity on the brush. I also used a metallic gradient map with the density very low.

In this image I wanted to dull out some of the colors and give it an older, grainier feeling.

all I did in this image was change the color of his shirt using the saturation/hue filter and changed the color of his hair using a red fill with a low opacity and a layer mask

I warmed this image up and tried to add a little density to the image by using a white-neutral gradient from the top down, as if maybe a light was above him. I used a sepia gradient map with a very low opacity as well.
I easily had the most trouble color grading this image. I found it hard to find something worthwhile to change. With the lack of a background and no real context of the image it made it difficult for me to try and apply a feeling to the image as it comes off almost as if it is a stock photo.

In this image I clearly added a lot of color and brightened up the image a lot. I used a saturation/hue filter on the sky. I brought the exposure up on the foreground and brought it down a bit on the sky to even it out. I used a solid yellow fill with a very low opacity and a layer mask to apply the yellow hue to the bottom portion of the image. I also added some artificial shadows in places I thought would be more fitting.

In this image I added blue into the shadows and cooled down the sky a bit. I added a white gradient to the top to dull out some of the colors in the sky. I also added a B&W gradient map (steel I believe) and set the opacity to about 33%
I had a hard time doing two different edits for each photo because I felt myself wanting to do the same thing to both images

Tableaux
Three separate images
Chair: ISO 800, f/4.0, 1/100 sec
Arms: ISO 800, f/4.0, 1/60 sec
Shadow: ISO 1250, f.4.0, 1/50 sec
The Shadow image was just a picture of my hands, I blacked out the outline, lowered the density, and softened the edges on.
