DSDN104 – Project 3
In project 3 I started off exploring different ways of grabbing and grasping with clay. I used the clay to morph into different shapes around the shape of my palm and fingers. After some research I decided to take inspiration for my final design from a firearm that I know from certain video games, this gun is the SCAR – H. I focused on the grip of the gun and tried to incorporate certain aspects of it into my final design. Instead of just molding the grip around my fingers I chose to make two open planes instead so people with fingers of all sizes could pick up and grip my form. Overall I am happy with the shape I was able to create for my final form but am very disappointed with how the paint came out. I Started using light coats of spray paint and didn’t realize that it would eat away at the foam so I feel my forms craft is not as clean and smooth looking as it could have been.

DSDN141 - Project 3 Summary
In project 3 i have learn't new skills that include using solid works to 3d print my switch and learning more about electrical circuits that we had to put in our final models, overall i am happy with project 3 but wish my final models craft was a little better than it was.

DSDN - 104 Project 2 summary
For project 1 of digital creation I wanted my models to reflect speed, I thought that my models were successful so I chose to reflect speed again in project 2. Once again I took my inspiration from a Lamborghini as it is one of the most recognized cars in the world and it has so many different angles, which make it look very fast and dynamic. I focused more on the tail end of the car in project 2 taking my idea from the 3 angled panels covering the rear window. My etch/pattern on my final model is a honeycomb to reflect the air intakes on the Lamborghini. There is a panel with the etch on either end capture light and projects it through the middle of the model giving it an illusion that every panel of my model is etched. My final model uses very basic slot joins that work very well but are not very complex, if I had the opportunity to do this project again I would look into other ways of making joins
