[That's my theory I posted at mouthwashing Reddit for first, but my besties spoked so well about Tumblr that I wanted to give a shot (heh)]. Since Mouthwashing has become my current and passionate interest, I basically think about all the time, day and night

I even wrote a monograph/article and a PowerPoint (all in portuguese, my first language) just because I really LOVE this game.

With this context, I wrote my own theory (before joined many groups about it and looking for in websites like TvTrope) about the beast-horse before the end of the gameplay, I wanted to know the meaning of it and why it have to be blind, aimless and restless. At first I thought it was another way to view Jimmy's fault for what he done to Anya (and the rest of the crew) chasing him.

But I thought again, makes sense but... is it just that?

I though again and again and something crossed my mind, what if this is how he sees Anya indeed after what he had done to her? Since the beginning he saw her lower because of (in my point of view) his inner misogyny and her historic of not finishing medical school. After the scene with Polle talking I noticed he looks at her the same way he does to the little horse mascot, inferiority and mischaracterization of her humanity, turning her into what he "desires for", a horse.

If Anya = Horse to Jimmy, I conclude that the chasing "minigame" is his point of view about her actions during what he saw of her.

Blind: how he didn't ee himself with his own blame, that's proved when Polle asked "If all of that is true... Why are you still so concerned about him?” Because he still cares for Curly and even said about taking this responsibility, but not about what he did to her, expressing no remorse for.

Aimless: how it's the situation for him, no way to hide or to go since the crash, Tulpar got smaller in terms of places to be or to run, so even if he tries to, he will eventually see her.

Restless: he is nervous about it, he saw Anya nervous about it. Since he caught her talking to Swansea and, thinking the worst, complaining and denouncing what Jimmy did, again with the thought everyone is "chasing him" all the time no matter where he goes.

I got a hypothesis about it because of the mechanic of the minigame, if he steps, make a noise, the horse listens and when alerted, goes after Jimmy. But why does it work this way?

So my hypothesis comes along with the fact - showed in the game - of their beds positions after-crash. Anya sleepbag is located closer to a Polle statue, with motion sensor, for her safety. If anyone step closer, Polle will talk louder enough to alert her.

I don't know if someone thought the same, I really want to talk about how good this game is and how important it became to me.
