fiona was a bit apprehensive as to how this assignment was going to go anyway, having been dreading it all semester. now that she was partnered with none other than jane vaughn for the assignment, she was even moreso nervous. she forced a tight-lipped smile as the girl approached her, figuring that she should try to remain civil for the sake of their fake baby, and all. “I’d say not having sex with men would be the best option, don’t you?” she chews on her bottom lip for a moment, debating on how to respond to jane’s next words. admittedly, it wasn’t a bad idea – but, she wasn’t going to tell her that. “i think we’d get in trouble for that…” she trails off, awkwardly fidgeting with her pen. “um, so, what’d we have? boy or girl?” she needed to think of names for their little bundle of joy.

there was an awkward chuckle following right after as she decided to shut her mouth this once. it usually always got her in trouble and this didn’t seem like the right moment with her newfound partner. her smile had faltered realizing her little joke didn’t take off so the whole nanny idea had to be put on hold for now. “only if we got caught.” she mumbled, shrugging off her earlier suggestion. “we have ourselves a baby boy which should be fun. i hear they’re quite handful.” that was at least what her mom would often express about her older brother. “listen, fiona, i kinda need the A for this assignment so you don’t have to worry about me messing up.” she warned only because there was some previous tension.

“i really don’t have the time for this baby assignment.” she complained, putting away her stuff in her bag in the music room. it seemed pointless to her and she already figured seeing her own brother being a shitty dad was educational enough for her. putting her bag over her head, she turned back to sav. “so i’m assuming we’re going to do new material for battle of the bands? our reputation is at stake here and i won’t take losing to some niners.”

jane wasn’t sure how this new assignment would go being paired up with fiona coyne. she didn’t really know her that well other than the few not so great interactions they had. there might have been some pre judgement there but jane always felt like she had a great judge of character. forcing herself to walk on over to the girl, she sat next to her once the class was over. “so this baby assignment just might be the best birth control option out here.” she clears her throat, an attempt to joke with the girl. “do you think you can like hire a nanny for our project or something?”

why did you cheat on spinner?

i figured this would come up eventually. i know i have no legit excuse that would make it okay. it’s kind of even hard to explain without making it worse than it already is. it just seemed like we were on two different levels and i should have said something to him sooner.

jane was determined to make most of her time back at home a good one since most of her friends were actually out for spring break. she had heard of a party happening which was a good opportunity for her to enjoy herself. instantly feeling out of place, she walked towards the kitchen to grab a drink to calm her nerves down. as she filled up her own cup and took a sip of it she then caught a way too familiar face. “tori?” it was good to see her even if they hadn’t really kept in touch for months, only through the few bumps at degrassi.

it’s no real surprise that spinner had got in trouble for goofing around in class, it’s what he is known for after all. in a hurry to leave he quickly walks out the door not seeing jane as he tried to make his getaway. spinners face stayed cold as he looked at her. he couldn’t believe she had the nerve to try and talk to him. “how about it’s none of your business.” it killed him to be cold to her but after she cheated he can’t help but feel nothing but anger towards her.

her smiled had faded from his response with her stupidly going up to him after all that she’s done to him. she looked down to her shoes and then back up trying her best to keep herself all together. “i’m sorry.” she brings herself to say to him. “i just wanted to see how you were doing and i guess it was wrong to do.” she nervously tugged on her jacket knowing it was selfish of her to go up to him like this.

𝒂𝒓𝒊𝒆𝒍  𝒘𝒂𝒔  𝒔𝒊𝒎𝒑𝒍𝒚  making  her  way  to  power  squad  practice  after  bribing  her  way  out  of  detention  with  the  help  of  mommy dearest.  in  her  head  ,  she  was  going  over  the  routine  to  ensure  perfection  as  soon  as  the  count  started.  she  expected  nothing  but  the  best  from  herself  ,  so  it  was  not  a  foreign  concept  for  her  to  obsess  over  perfecting  the  routine.  but  of  course  ,  someone  that  didn’t  know  better  decided  that  watching  where  they were  going  was  something  that  they  didn’t  know  how  to  do.  as  soon  as  she  felt  the  other  collide  with  her  ,  it  immediately  caused  ariel’s  face  to sour.   “    first  of  all  ,  unless  you’re  opening  your  mouth  to  apologize  for  almost  breaking  my  fucking  shoulder  ,  i  don’t  wanna  hear  you  speaking.  ”  ariel  spat.  even  though  she  was  being  dramatic  about  her  shoulder  ,  she  was  still  fuming  about  the  other  even  brushing  her  body  against  her  own.  her  face  was  full  of  disgust  as  a scowl  graced  her  perfectly  groomed  visage.

jane’s mouth was slightly opened, completely in shocked by the other girl’s rude response. she didn’t believe this run-in to even be a big deal at all which caused her to laugh at the exaggeration. “i’m not apologizing with that attitude, princess.” this interaction probably shouldn’t have gone on any longer but jane was never one to back down. especially with someone who seemed to be such a prick. “that was hardly a bump at all. maybe if you weren’t being such an ass i would be out of your way, so it looks like we both aren’t getting what we want.”

“Yeah, yeah, yeah, y’caught me.” Words muffled with an obvious hint of sarcasm as digits worked against the tab of the bang energy drink, pulling it upwards until it finally opens, pulling the tab back down before taking a long sip of the energy drink. “Betenkamp squealed on me for pulling a prank on the dorks in the marching band during yesterday’s football game.”

it was too predictable of a story for jane that had her rolling her eyes with how proud he seemed to be. “you’re such a cliche, dude.” she doesn’t hide her distaste in front of him. “wesley is seriously harmless. i really don’t understand why you mess with said dorks just for the hell of it. i think you might need a new hobby.”

Crossing her arms over her chest, she made a face. “No, I got in trouble for coming to class late.” For the third time this week, and she had the audacity to have an attitude about it. 

“well everyone always gets caught. it’s only a matter of time.” she shrugged one shoulder knowing that no one was ever that good. “seriously? i don’t know why expected some sort of story. i guess they just take anyone for the smallest thing.”
