My final piece turned out better then I originally, though going through the samples I never thought it would lead me to drawing on wood.I was thinking to also include the piece of latex to go with it but I didn't like the way it looked with the piece of wood, granted it is a raw material but I honestly think the wood piece on it own looks good
After looking at Audrey Kawasaki’s work it looked to natural and as to how she connects her paintings to the wood piece it self shows that art is very versatile and to me that is like speaking another language but without the use of words. this project has made me think as to how I can use so many materials like latex or charcoal, also using materials in to the latex, with that being said art can also be simple as a painting or a sketch but it all depends on how you, yourself want to portray it and how much you put in it.
Lastly if I was to change anything about it I would have produced much more wood samples to show how much I really enjoyed using that material

My final piece.
The project is about how animals and humans connect. thought at first struggling with the decomposition part of zoomorphic I got passed it and decided to use latex, wood cardboard, and string. the first image was just the second image but with the wooden pieces being slanted from one another. I wanted my latex piece to hang while the second piece I want it to be able for people to interact with it as if it was a puzzle. that way they get to be a part of it.
in conclusion, I think my pieces went well but if I was to change anything was that I would have loved having more skulls on wood images with different ones that way people would have to try and re-arrange them in the right order I do think people do enjoy getting into art physically, mentally and emotionally to me that’s what art is, something yu can express without words.

My work is usually based on textures and the feel of a material like latex, for a dryprint I've decided to lay a piece of fabric with the end bits out to show it's frayed bits. Painted ove the fabric with acrylic paint to make sure its coated later layed on pieces of paper rolled off the excess, place the fabric onto a zinc plate and rolled over the fabric with a paint roller. This helped me to draw out the lines, but since the lines weren't deep enough the end product wasn't as good but i will try this process again.

The details on the fish were harder to draw. But the lobster was easier

I drew a fish and a lobster. Though i struggled with the oil pastels i achieved drawing both the fish and the crustacean(lobster).

i ended up lifting the whole latex skin using baby powder to stop it from sticking to itself, later hung it to let it dry. looking at the process it showed me that i would need a good thick layer of the latex and would need to wait atleast a day to let it dry

this is after it was semi dry, i could see that from this layers it was going to work as the coats were too thin.

this is after i finished putting the layer

I Wanted to try and see if i could make a skin like layer to be used in my final project. to do this ive used a thin layer of latex then used some string to create a bumps and thin lines between the two layers. i later put a coat of latex on top of the strings.

i’ve decided try and use a screen that has paint and draw the outline of the image shown, later on the back it would come out on the other side
