Fashion Tip: Tie Bar
Ties are awesome and they can make a striking appeal for a suit, but like fashion usually is, there are secrets you can learn to improve how you look and up your fashionista in you, I present to you, the tie bar.  A quintessential mens fashion accessory that has gained an increase in popularity thanks to a revitalized interest in classic men’s style. A tie bar is a small detail that can have a big impact on a look. Its obvious how to wear one, clip the tie to the shirt, easy as that. However, it is important to keep in mind style, size, placement, color, and angle. Tie clips come in two styles, a pinch clasp and a side clasp. I, myself, prefer the pinch as I believe keeps the tie in place more securely than a pinch BUT a side pinch is more for thinner fabrics than a side clasp so keep that in mind. Size: your tie clip should never go past the width of the tie itself, best rule of thumb is to keep it about ¾ the width of the tie; easy to remember. For placement, its a good idea to keep the clip between the 3rd and 4th buttons on your shirt, you do not want it too high or too low. NEVER EVER wear a tie bar at an angle, it should be perpendicular to your tie, if you wear it at an angle you are committing fashion suicide. As for color, silver is gospel in this case and it goes with everything. However you can go with gold if that is your style or you are wearing gold jewelry. If you want a simple rule of thumb: match metals. Bonus: wearing a tie bar with a cardigan or vest is asinine, please don’t do it, please.

2015 Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG
The 2015 SLS has a great engine, a very powerful DOHC 32 valve V-8 engine, unfortunately it doesn’t have a straight eight anymore ( automobile engine that used eight cylinders in a row, instead of two rows as a V-8 engine does). This engine pumps out a note-worthy 622HP with its 7-speed dual clutch automatic transmission; 0-60 in 3.2 seconds, nearly on par with speed witht the Lamborghini Gallardo. For a car that can really shoot down a road it is able to hold itself down on the road at high speeds, however, the ride is really stiff due to a suspension that offers no comfort mode for the shocks, just sport and sport plus modes. For having its body and parts made almost completely out of carbon this car weighs in at 3732 pounds and also notable is how tiny the cabin is. For $276,800, you don’t necessarily get a lot in return other than the fast engine and the Mercedes-Benz name, there are arguably a lot more cars you can get for cheaper that might be better in looks and performance.

Fashion Tip: Watches
Watches, bracelets, etc, are little accent pieces on a person that can add a little unique kick to them. If you’re a man you should be wearing a watch when your dress business-casual or all out black tie and everything in between. Watches keep your classy and punctual. In this technology obsessed world, taking out your phone during a meeting, conversation, wedding, funeral, etc, might be considered rude and how one cannot be away from technology, however, with watches its one quick glance and you’re done; its not rude, its classy and its functional. Watches are simplistic and its better to check the time as a habit rather than to keep pulling out your phone. Besides all of this, watches are stylish. There is a small list of items a man can wear, jewelry-related, where he will not be judged; watches, a ring, maybe some cuff-links but that is mainly it. You’ve seen these A-list celebrities and models wearing watches, they are a form of self expression, they show off wealth, style, class, and masculinity, such as if someone wore a Rolex watch, per example. There are lots of different types of watches in this world, minimalist watches, mechanical watches, digital watches, complex watches, they are pieces of art, pieces of craftsmanship, its a luxurious band of awesomeness. I recommend wearing a watch as a stylish piece to match an outfit, a man looks at his watch not his phone, its nice to be connected to time in a classical manner rather than in a technological world such as this.

1985 Porsche 928
The Porsche 928 can be argued as one of the last cars Porsche made that was really elegant in design, style, and performance. For a car back then, it can shoot 0-60 in 5.7 seconds, actually not that bad compared to todays sports cars. It runs with a 5.0 Liter, 32-valve, V-8, 288 horse power engine.  It’s all-alloy liner-less V8 was attached to a rear-mounted gearbox (like the 924), and the galvanised and highly aerodynamic body had aluminium doors and bonnet plus body-coloured wraparound plastic bumpers – radical for its time. Porsche talked of it being an ethical sports car, so there were four seats, emissions from the low-stressed V8 were kept in check by advanced engine management, and performance was adequate, rather than sensational. And that marked it out as a firm-riding and slightly cramped GT car, rather than the sports car Porsche needed to replace the 911; smoother front and rear bumpers lifted the looks, as did the rear spoiler - making the 928 look like a product of the 1990s, rather than the 1970s. Overall it was an amazing car for its time and still holds very well on its own today.

2016 Audi TT
The Audi TT is still a magnificent looking car, even from its debut back in 1995, however with its second generation, the car lacked that original design it once had, and with the third generation releasing, Audi has, in my opinion, has captured that spirit once more. The TT coupe and convertible will use the 220 hp, 2 liter four cylinder while the TTS will house a 292 hp engine. While the car is a relatively light 3000ish pounds, it takes you 0-60 in about 5.3 seconds. This car takes corners with little under-steering if at all any, and has one of the best precision steerings around. Cabin noise is relatively good and the ride is firm but not overall punishing; the six speed automated manual transmission is swift at changing gears. Audi likes to show off their ingenuity and craftsmanship in their cars and the TT is no exception, inside is now a decluttered dashboard that now sits a 12.3 inch dashboard behind the wheel that allows the driver to see and control everything from the screen. For a base price of about $40,000 dollars you get more of a car that is about style and technology rather than its sporty performance, although it is sporty none-the-less.

2016 McLaren 675LT
The new McLaren 675LT is the closest thing to a P1 you can get without paying $1.34 million, instead its around $400,000. The 675LT is longer, leaner, and more fitting of a racetrack than a normal road. The 675LT, named after its horsepower and “long tail” spoiler sports a 3.8 Liter twin turbo V-8 engine to get you from 0-60 in 3 seconds. The V-8 is now connected to a 7 speed twin clutch automatic transmission. Most McLarens are already light as can be, but this model steps things up with carbon fiber panelings, a titanium exhaust port, and a polycarbonate engine, the 675 weighs in at just under 3,000 pounds. This McLaren has incredible stopping power thanks to its ceramic brake rotors and the spoiler acting as an airbrake, it requires only about 94 feet to stop from 60-0mph. There is a lot of computer controlled functions within the car itself to help drivers out, especially with traction control, but some see this as a hindrance while others find it helpful; just a matter of taste. Cabin noise is low for a sports car such as this and it offers very good visibility and is comfortable to drive rather at 25mph or 140mph. The interior is stocked with climate control, lightweight audio speakers, navigation control, and cameras, but yet it looks so simplistic and not cramped. Its fast, its smooth, its comfortable, and its powerful; its worth the money and is very pleasing to look at from all angles.

2016 Alfo Romeo 4C
Weighing in at just under 2,500 pounds the Alfo Romeo 4C is a car for the life of a racer rather than the life of a commuter. This 2 seater mid engine racer goes 0-60 in 4.7 seconds which is impressive for its underwhelming engine which is a 1.75 Liter, inline 4 turbocharged engine with a top speed of 130 mph for a total of 258 horsepower. Weighting like a feather, with a low center of gravity, the 4C offers precision handling but more difficult at lower speeds; visibility is sometimes a problem. On the outside, the 4C is still present in its features with low sitting V-grill with a deep crested hood which allows air to flow into the inlets behind the door. There is no manual transmission for the car, a con for any sport pursuer. The sypder model offers updated features such as headlights, wheels, spoiler, and roof. Not much has changed inside of the car, new seats offer better support and there are 5 color combinations for the interior. With a price of $64,ooo its hard to think its worth the money when there are many other sports cars with better performance, price, looks, and stlye, such as the Porsche Boxster of BMW Z4. Overall, the car is very nice to look at, its super lightweight and sturdy, maybe not the best car to buy or drive but it makes its name up in the list for sure.

2016 Mazda MX-5 Miata
The Mazda Miata is quite the impressive car recently. For a sports car, it has amazing MPG, about 34 to be make note, comparable to other fuel efficient cars such as the Focus or Mazda 3. Its size has remained pretty much the same since its introduction back in the 90’s but this year is actually a little smaller than previous models but that doesn’t mean the inside does not feel bigger and doesn’t mean this isn’t a true Miata. Now this ain’t a typical roadster than shoots 0-60 in about 4 seconds, this Miata sports a 155 horsepower, 2 liter, 4 cylinder engine, which is unimpressive for a sports car but this doesn’t mean this car wont speed down open lanes and shoot off, because it definitely will. The 6 speed manual is a classic feature for the car and is a breeze to shift gears and also offers an automatic transmission in case you cannot handle manual. While putting down the top is simple, the cabin still has its problems. Cabin noise is loud, the seats are stiff, and the overall space is still a little snug, but that is expected when you have a car as small as the Miata itself; not to say it has been improved lately all around, seating position also offers better visibility being deep set. Overall, the Miata’s reliability and satisfaction are high and with a base price of $25,000, its a good buy for what you get.

Bugatti Chiron
The New York International Auto Show is going on currently and with it brings a wide range of concept cars, new models, better designs, and brand new sports cars. This year many of us are drooling over the arrival of the brand new Bugatti Chiron, the worlds most powerful, fastest, street legal sports car coming to the market at the end of this year. Its brand new, sleek look gives Bugatti a higher appeal for some of us because, for once, it doesn’t look like a bug. Sporting an 8-litre, DOHC 64 valve quad turbo W-16 engine, this hunk will now bring out an over-the-top 1,500 horsepower, going 0-60 in 2.4 seconds. For $2.7 million, your bound to enjoy this pony going 261 mph (computer controlled) or even faster if you dare take it off. The outside of the Chiron sports carbon fiber paneling and rocks the Bugatti signature “C” shape bugatti line next to the door, a classic touch to most of their production line for some time now. New air intakes in the sides of the doors allow clean air traveling from the side of the car to enter the engine to cool it down and create a more aerodynamic structure to the Chrion’s build. The back of the car is wearing a new bugatti signature design, a lightsaber like brake light that extends across the entire back.  Along with the brake light are the massive exhaust ports for the engine, 6 3,2 inch outlets that create a low pressure diffuser and the outer 2 outlets blow the air downward to create downforce, just like a spoiler, but this more F1 type downforce. Environmentalists beware, this has got to be one of the most environmentally unfriendly cars around. The inside of the Bugatti is full of leather and carbon fiber and doesn’t really go overboard but stays pretty modest and very modern, not too much to discuss on this end. The Chiron is shorter, wider, and bulkier than its previous production counterparts such as the veyron, but I think its a good look. It is more bulky/powerful and aggressive looking making me feel like this is a monster fast sports car rather than a slim, fast shooter. Overall, Bugatti is at the height of performance and style and rocks its competitors again with these finely crafted machines, the end of 2016 will birth this car and its safe to say a lot of us wait to see what it can do and how far we can take it.
