Is this the fastest a fanbase has switched from "These reviewers are idiots who don't understand games, that's why they scored it so low" to "Reviewers are shills and are scared to give AAA games bad scores" ever? Incredible to see it happen.
Yeah, kinda. The cycle is as old as time itself, making it disgustingly predictable, but it’s the sort of thing that usually plays out on a months/years scale. But I definitely had a moment on my couch a couple days before the embargo was up where I thought it all through in my head and silent said “well, here we go again.” At this point it’s easy to see the storm forming ahead of time.
Think any of the scumbags riding the “game journalists don’t even play gamez” train on YouTube will apologize? Think any of the motherfuckers harassing reviewers for “low reviews” will have anything resembling a moment of self-reflection? I bet fucking not!

So, @nobodylovesaperfecthero and I wrote a book together. It’s called One Shining Moment: A Critical Analysis of Love Live! Sunshine!! and it’s on Amazon where you can read it. It’s a very weird thing to see that this is finally out there in the wild, but it’s also something we’re both incredibly proud of and if you’re a fan of the series, we think you’ll like as well.
