Mastery Journal Entry
Wow, it is crazy to think I am completing the second course already. I am one-sixth of the way through my journey. It is exciting and scary at the same time. My second course is Digital Marketing Fundamentals this has been an exciting course. I learned so much more than I thought I would when I made my timeline in the Mastery course. I have started to learn and understand the basic fundamentals. Although, I did not get to read Content Marketing – the fundamental tool of digital marketingby Loredana Baltes Patrutiu. I did however watch a marketing tutorial from Lynda, Marketing Foundations, which I found very informative. I was able to analyze the growing influence of Digital Marketing by participating in our weekly assignments and discussions. One of the assignments had me compare websites and use different tools to compare these sites which was interesting. Also, just by having discussions with my classmates and learning how Digital Marketing affects them and their companies was very informative. There are so many new strategic methods for success, and the course resources we very helpful and I even saved them to reference later on. My favorite resource is 101 Landing Page Optimization Tips. I think this will come in handy with my future endeavors. Although, Week 4 has been my favorite so far by discussing digital marketing strategies, for instance, email marketing, and social media marketing, and identifying measurements to help us capture and analyze. You can do so much with either one of these strategies that the possibilities are endless. It is also a sad week since this class is ending, but I ready for my next class of Digital Storytelling and Branding.
