It’s not that I’m not festive. My job just requires me to work most of Christmas, which is okay, I guess.

Um.. no.

So you’re not festive either? Won’t see a mistletoe hanging around huh?

Yeah.. You might not see much of me around Christmas. I have to work a lot, so I won’t be hanging around the house as much.

Usually the time of the year I spend alone but well, guess I have a family to stay this time.

Think I’ve been doing this for almost 2 year. Started out with yoga but didn’t like it.

A guy I work with is opening a restaurant soon in town, so he offered me a job.

Really? What did you find?

I know the owner pretty well, so I think I’ll be fine. I obviously don’t mind working other shifts if he’s ever stuck for someone, but I’ll mainly be working mornings, so I’m pretty happy with that.

Restaurants don’t have the best shifts either. Don’t fall for promises of having always the early shift. That’s really not how it works.
