Chapter 2 - Jensen

Then she was gone. I’ve been thinking about her, since she crashed my meet and greet with the fans. She looked so confused and didn’t even go all fan girl on me. Seems like she doesn’t even know who I am. It’s refreshing seeing that there are people out there who don’t know who I am or what the fuck I do. It’s been hard finding a girlfriend, who wants me for me and not for my fame or money. Every time I come home visiting my parents for birthdays and holidays, my mom asks me if I finally met someone and every time I tell her no. Sure, there are women I have fun with, but they’re not permanent or come close to anything serious, if I’m being honest. I know, I’m thirty six, what has me closer to forty than thirty and I’m not getting younger, but I haven’t met my perfect match yet nor a woman I want to settle down with. My closest friend, Jared, he’s married, has two boys, who he loves very much and I’m grateful to be their uncle and see my best friend be an amazing father and see those kids grow up, but sometimes I think having kids is not in my cards. I’ll just be the cool and drunk uncle at the parties.

“The food’s really good.” Jared hums and nods as he puts some more food into his mouth. “You don’t like yours?” He asks and I look at my plate. I haven’t touched my food yet, because I was so lost in thought. “I haven’t tried it yet, was a little lost in my thoughts.” I chuckles a little and Misha raises his eyebrow at me. “What?” I ask before trying my food and nodding in agreement, since it tastes really good. Probably one of the best foods I’ve had at a convention. “What has you lost in thoughts?” Jared chimes in. “During my meet and greet, the woman who just brought our food, crashed it.” I chuckles a little. I mean, it was a little funny, but she also seemed stressed. I worried about her even though I don’t know her. I don’t know why. “Really?” Misha asks and I nod. “Yeah, I think, she didn’t know that the meeting was inside there.” I tell him before I go back to eating. Misha just nods and eats something as well. “You sure she’s not a fan?” Misha asks and Jared scoffs. “If she’s a fan she probably would’ve freaked out by now and she barely looked at us. A fan would’ve stared no matter how good of an actor they are.” Jared tells him and I nod, since he’s right. Misha chuckles a little, “Yeah that might be true.”

“You guys wanna check out a bar later? I really wanna get a drink with you guys. We haven’t had one in a long time. I kinda miss it.” He tells us. “Aw, Misha. You sap.” Jared says with a grin and I laugh at my friends as Misha rolls his eyes at Jared. “Be nice, Jared. We have photo ops together.” Misha sasses and Jared chuckles. “I should be nice?” Jared raises his eyebrow with a grin and I just shake my head at my friends. They’re dorks, but they are my dorks.

We finish our food and a hangout a little, chatting about some fans we met and how one of them cried and Jared had to tell them it’s fine. I think Jared is really great at handling fans, he always welcomes them with open arms and it’s natural to him. I honestly do admire that about him, because I feel like I’m too shy for that sometimes. I don’t know these people, but I’m grateful for them, because without them I wouldn’t be here. That’s why I’m doing these conventions to say thank you to them. Also it kinda feels like coming home, seeing Jared and Misha, seeing the girls as in Bri and Kim, seeing Rob and the band. Unfortunately they couldn’t make this con due to personal reasons. Usually I’d sit with Rob and tuning the guitar, trying some random tunes. Rob asked me so many times if I’d wanted to join them for the Saturday night concert and I always decline, because I feel acting is my scene and not making music. Even though, I really like making music. I always made music when I was in school. So yeah, I’m kinda missing it, but it’s only for fun that’s why I could never do it in front of a crowd. Whenever we’re in Italy at Jibcon, I always get nervous about my solo panels because I’m too shy to be performing alone or talking by myself on stage. I feel like some people understand my shyness as coldness. I’m more of a quiet person, that’s why I’m always a little reserved. I remember reading on twitter once people think I’m cold, which is not true. I’m just a shy thirty-six year old guy.

One of the assistants appears by the door, a little out of breath, looking at Jared and Misha. “Jared, Misha, it’s time for your duo ops.” Misha nods and gets up, grabbing a water bottle for himself before following the assistant with Jared.

“Jensen, you have ops with baby now.” Another assistant tells me and I nod, getting out of my chair and following her into the hallway walking with her and the bodyguard. “Hey Jensen!” One fan calls and I search for them, smiling at them when I see them waving and I wave back. When I walk through the hallway, I see her, her talking to someone from the staff. I still don’t know her name. I forgot to look at her name tag, because all I could see was her beautiful face and eyes. I stare a little too long and run into my bodyguard’s back. “Sorry,” I mumble with a little laugh and he just nods at me.

After we finish for the day, Jared, Misha and I decide to hit the bar in downtown New Jersey. We’re lucky, it’s not crowded, so the possibility of meeting fans isn’t high. I remember, when Jared and I were at a bar a few years ago. Jared and I were so wasted, when we met a fan and she sat next to me touching me, kissing my cheek and she filmed that. I didn’t remember her until my agent showed me the video on his phone and since then I’m trying to not get drunk at a public place, where fans could run into us. I had a girlfriend back then and she was really mad, when she saw the video, that was all over social media. Shortly after that, we broke up. She said, I couldn’t be trusted, when I’m drunk. Which is by the way not true! It was two nights before Jared’s wedding and it was just the two of us and we wanted to let loose. It was the day before we flew back to Texas for his wedding. Guess, I had more to drink than Jared, because he remembered when he saw the video and told me everything.

But I still love to have a drink with my friends at a bar once in a while and catch up, have a good laugh and just have a good time in general.

We sit down at a booth and order our first round of the night, while we chat about the con and other stuff. “Hey, you remember when Gen started on set.” Misha wiggles his eyebrows and I chuckle as Jared blushes. Jared had such a huge crush on his now wife. He’d look at her while she was reading and at first she wasn’t really interested in him and it was so funny seeing him walking around like a lost puppy, who’s eyes followed her everywhere. “Stop.” Jared says and pushes Misha’s shoulder. Misha chuckles and sips his drink. “Oh, come on, you were crushing so hard on her.” I chime in and chuckle a little. “Not you, too.” Jared sighs but with humor in his voice. I just chuckle and sip my drink looking around as Misha and Jared talk about the kids. “So when will you come visit us?” Misha asks me and I shrug. “I could come by after the con.” I suggest and we start making plans.

The next time when I look around the bar. I see her waking inside with a guy. Is he her boyfriend? I shouldn’t be surprised if she has one. I feel so memorized by her, because I can’t stop looking at her. The way she laughs. The way she smiles. The way she holds her drink. The way her jeans hug her ass perfectly. I imagine how her ass- “Jensen?” Jared asks and I clear my throat. “Yeah?” He raises his eyebrow at me. “Were you listening?” He asks me as I look at my empty drink. “Uh, honestly, no. Sorry.” I tell him with an apologetic smile. “You want another beer or whiskey?” Misha asks as he gets out of his seat. “Another beer.” I tell him and he nods. I probably should stay with beer because I stared with beer. Whiskey would probably just cause a hangover, I cannot afford .

“Hey, isn’t that the lady who brought us our food earlier at the hotel?” Jared asks me and points towards her and the guy, who are currently talking. “I guess.” I answer. I know it’s her. There’s nothing to guess, Jensen. Even though I just saw her today, I would never forget her. “Maybe we should invite her for a drink?” Jared suggest. “Since she was really nice to me earlier.” I frown slightly. “You guys met after she brought the food?” I can’t help, but feel a little jealous, that he got to have a whole conversation with her. I feel like a child.

“Yeah. She was walking around with some staff and she was wearing a nice perfume and I wanted to get it for Gen, since it smelled really nice and I asked her to tell me what perfume it is.” He tells me with a shrug. I just nod, because it’s not that mention worthy.

“So let’s invite her over.” Misha says and gets up walking towards her and that guy, who I assume is her boyfriend by how close they seem.

She looks at Misha with a slight puzzled look and shakes her head no. Does that mean she’s not coming over or she’s not interested or what? Misha walks back towards our table and smiles at us. “She won’t be coming over.” He tells us. My heart sinks, since I really wanted to get to know her. “Oh…” is all I say, disappointment attached to my voice. Jared raises an eyebrow at me, “Jensen, why aren’t you going over?” My ears turned slightly pink, “Me? Why me?” Jared grins and shrugs playing with his drink a little. “I don’t know, I just have a feeling.” He grins and takes a sip from his drink. “Well she said no, why do you think she’d change her mind if I go over and ask her to join us?” I frown slightly at my best friend. “I just know.” He shrugs and grins. Again. He and that stupid grin.

Chapter 1 - Y/N — 945 words

There’s too many people in here, I’m getting anxious. Wherever I look around there’s people. The air is thick and just bad. So I open the next door, thinking it’s leading to a staircase to get out of here, because it’s too much. But when it get inside the room, there’s like ten people who look at me and then there’s this guy, who looks at me a little confused. “You’re Late.” A lady with a name tag that says Janine and staff. Staff? I don’t understand shit. I just work at this damn hotel. I’ve been sick for the last couple of months and nobody told me my first day would be this stressful. “Late?” I ask the lady. “Yeah for the Meet and Greet with Jensen.” Jensen? Who the fuck is Jensen? I don’t know a Jensen. “Oh, uh, I don’t think I’m right, here.” I tell her quietly because all of these are looking right at me. The lady blinks, “Then how did you get in here was there no security out there?” Security. Where the fuck am I ? And who the fuck is that Jensen guy. “…No.” I answer before looking around and seeing the guy looking at me and around him, just women. Only women. Why? Also meet and greet? Weird. “I go now.” Is all I say before I burst out of the room and back into the crowd. I can’t help but look back and see that guy looking at me. He’s handsome. Im not gonna lie about it. I need to ask Emily what the fuck is going on here. I grab my work phone and text Emily.

“Why’s there so many people here?”

“Did no one tell you?”

“Tell me what?!”

“Here’s some “supernatural convention” at our hotel.”

“What’s a convention?”

“You know…people meeting their idols and fav celebrities.”

“Uh… no.”

“Okay, but that’s the reason why’s there so many people here.”

So a convention.

“What’s a meet and greet?” I text her.

“There’s only like 10 people meeting the actor.”

So the guy who was looking at me. The handsome guy. Is a celebrity? Well, he doesn’t seem like one. Okay, no one seems like celebrity. Shut up, Y/N.

“Do you even know Supernatural?” She asks me.

“No, I don’t.”

“WHAT? You don’t know Supernatural.”

“No.”

“You definitely missed something.”

“But we do nothing right? The people who organise the convention do everything?”

“Pretty much.”

Okay, that’s good because these people, it’s too many of them. They’re everywhere and I’ve never seen so many people in one spot. “You can’t be here.” A guy tells me who’s shirt says “security”. “I work here.” I tell him and show him my ID from work. He nods and lets me get in the kitchen. Why is that guy watching the entrance of the kitchen. “Hey, Rico.” I greet our Italian chef, who smiles at me in response. “Have you heard what’s going on here?” I ask him curiously. “Yeah, some celebrities are at this hotel right?” He asks with a slight Italian accent. I roll my eyes, “Why does everyone know about this convention, but me?”

“Because you’ve been sick for the last three months and it’s your first day, remember? The doctor told you to take it easy and not stress yourself.” I nod, because he’s right, the doctor told me to take it easy the first few weeks. Rico is my best friend and we started working here at the same time and we became friends pretty fast. He’s been with me to every doctors appointment, he’s my brother. “You’re right.” I sigh and look around the kitchen. “So are you cooking for theses celebrities or why is there security out there?” He chuckles a little, “Yeah I’m cooking for them. The organisers don’t want any fans in here and put something in their food.” I blink, “Wait, people are this crazy?” I laugh a little and he just chuckles in response and nods. “Yeah, Y/N, people are this crazy.” I just smile and look at the food he’s cutting stealing some for myself. Rico rolls his eyes at me, but smiles at me as I snack some of the strawberries.

He finishes a while later and tells me to bring the food in the conference room, since he needs to finish some other orders. He puts everything one the dining cart and I start pushing it through the hotel until I’m in front of the glass doors and need to show the security my ID again. I never had to show my ID this many times at work, it’s getting annoying to be honest. The security guy opens the door, letting me push the cart through and into the room. My eyes land automatically on him and his eyes land on me as well. “Enjoy your food.” I tell him and what I suppose are his coworkers. They give me a polite smile before getting up to grab some food. “Thanks.” One of them says and when I turn around. It’s him. I just nod and give him a smile. I turn around again and leave the room.

When I push the cart around again and back into the kitchen I see so many fans. Mostly women. I mean I kinda get why they’re here. Theses men are pretty handsome. And the most handsome guy of them has a really manly voice that makes me think things I shouldn’t be thinking about. I felt him staring at me and I really wanted to stare back at him, but that would’ve been highly unprofessional for the deputy of the hote.
