an update

I'm so terribly sorry to everyone who's followed this blog expecting me to return in the 6+ months of my absence. I genuinely want to thank all of you for sticking with this blog (or even if you've forgotten that you're following me). And an extra sorry to all the friends that I didn't reply to, I haven't forgotten about any of you and I'm guilty about leaving you the way that I did.

In addition to being really busy with uni, I've realized that a large portion of my anxiety stemmed from this blog and this website in general. Trying to create the best edits and trying to please others when all I needed to do was do what I loved most: editing and talking about hockey with people that share the same love of it as I do. I forgot that, and eventually I ended up sacrificing that love when it became too difficult to handle.

In a way, I regret that I left this blog for so long because it could have helped lessen the anxiety of living in a new country and hardly knowing anyone. Or it might have intensified it, I don't know.

Over the past few months I've wanted to click open the Tumblr app so many times, but I really didn't think I could handle it. The reason I'm writing this now is because I thought that the people (if there are any) who love(d) this blog as much as I do deserve an explanation on why I left it for as long as I did.

For the future of this blog, I think it's best if I ease back into it, slowly. So please be patient, I'm trying my best.
