Man…….i love surfing through old records.
One thing i love about being a producer is getting to ACTUALLY to the records you’re going to sample. A lot of producers just sample something without listening to the full record. They literally just listen to it to sample it. And u may be wondering “Jay, what the hell are talking about who are those people”. We’re talking about the same guys who find an old song from like 1978 on YouTube and says “iM G0nNa sAmPLe DiS!!!!!” LIKE, DUDE, JUST LISTEN TO THE RECORD WITHOUT EVEN THINKING OF SAMPING FIRST!!!!!
Don’t get me wrong as an artist who samples a lot of shit, i get it but you didn’t even hear the whole record yet, u just that beginning and said DAYUM!
Anyways main point is, for all those young producers out there (like me lol), sit down and hear them records you’ve been “meaning to sample” instead of just ignoring them like they don’t mean shit. Who knows???? U might find some bangers………
Cuz trust me I KNOW I DID!!!! Lately I’ve been sorta on a disco phase. I just started making house music sampling those kinds of records of course and i just couldn’t get enough funk obviously lol.
Anyways enough ranting here are some records i found at my day at Viola Records.

My look into the exhibit at MIAD
A few weeks ago I went to MIAD to take a look around the art exhibit my friend goes to MIAD so I wanted to be there to support her art. And of course look at other people’s art with her LMAO. Support the artists credited!
1. Tabby Paks by Kai Kilgore
I thought these “cat-packs” were pretty cute. Would definitely own one if I saw one in store.
2. The Kronosaurus by Luci Padilla
God forbid these creatures exist lol.
3. Shuttle by Brittany Tello
Peak modern day looking app UI design.
4. Elliot’s Baking Adventure by Zara Rose
I like this children’s book art style. Reminds me of Night in the Woods.
5. Vegetable Calendar by Evan Mar
At least I know my birthday month is an eggplant…….
6 (w/extra picture). Animal Kingdom Quilts by Hayden Intveld.
I can tell she put so much time into this quilt and I’m so happy for her! I also got to feel the quilt as well. Takes me back to when I had a quilt from my grandma. I also like the mini-quilts next to it. Because why not do all of the animal kingdom in quilts??????

My First Ever Blog Post
Welp, apparently, I have a Tumblr now. I figured if I was gonna post anything life related or make any post related to my interest, it was gonna here. For some time, I've been trying different things. Tryna read more, lil bit more studying (college is a pain in the ass lol), and even trying new equipment for my music. So, starting today, I'm joining Tumblr! I'll be making post on life, movies, tv shows, anime, music and some other stuff. I know this doesn't seem much to most Tumblr users but I really wanna start blogging and I think this is such a comfortable site to blog.
