This is the nephew of one of my best friends. If anyone in or around Virginia's Shenandoah National Park or anyone for that matter can repost this, I'd greatly appreciate it!! Update #3: Searchers found his hoodie and think they are close. They are keeping the area closed off while the dogs work and SAR is on scene. Family is canvassing the developed areas around the search site and driving the Road area in case he comes out to the street level. Update #2: Search and rescue teams are out today with K9 dogs. Parents are in bad shape but are soldiering through it. I was asked by the incident commander if anyone wants to help to please start heading in their direction to assist with the search. More boots on the ground the better. I know it’s a lot to ask for cause of the distance but anything to show support to his parents would greatly be appreciated. If you are interested in spending the day in VIRGINA tomorrow please let me know and I’ll send you location information. I’m praying the services aren’t needed but better to prepare regardless. UPDATE: He’s still missing. 3 search crews with dogs looking for him. Wasn’t able to secure a helicopter but working on getting a drone up. Hoping he’s found before dark. Not sure he will make it another night in the fridged temps. Been a brutal 24 hours for us. Trying to find my nephew who was in a bad one car accident last night in Shenandoah National Park in VIRGINA. Car was found totaled but he wasn’t. He was tracked for awhile until his phone died last night. Anyone with friends that live in the south PLEASE PLEASE share. Going on 24 hours now with no contact. Praying to bring him home to his family.
