Define H.A.P.P.I.N.E.S.S.

How do you define happiness? Is it when you're with someone, or when you get what you want? Is your happiness dependent on how things turn on your day? Are you happy when you unexpectedly see you celebrity idol or maybe just by getting a "Hi!" from your crush? Does it bring you happiness when you're able to help or give something to others? Or are you happy when you see your enemies get a bad day? Does a hug from you mom and dad bring you happiness or when you get to have thetelevision for yourself because all your sibs are out? Do you feel happy when you're able to make other's happy? Or maybe, do you simply choose to be happy? I have always been wondering, is happiness a feeling or it gets to become a choice? Is it something that can be defined or is it something that only your heart can feel. We all are in our own pursuit of happiness. And then here I am again, unable to finish a sensible (or not?) thought. Ugh. But by all means, I hope you'll always remain happy. Because I do or at least I try.

People around us always have a say on anything (even if you're doing nothing to them), so you might as well enjoy that moment that you're under the spotlight. They may be the people who don't matter to you but at least it's like seeing your self on a different perspective. Their opinions (or whatever you can call it) don't must not matter to you because the heck you should care about what they think of you and what you do. In the first place, they don't know your whole back story; they just pretend that they do. But whatever they are saying about you is something to reflect on. The stuff that they are saying about you might be something that you never realize about yourself. But do make sure that you only let your self be affected by their words (and by who they are) on that level; just for personal realizations and self improvement and never on a level that they will be able to stomp on your self-esteem, self-worth and identity. You must keep in mind that what they are saying about you may be on a certain level right (you just haven't realize it yourself yet) or wrong but still only you can truly identify your self for who you are. You just have to be open minded enough to accept other's opinion about you and be able to separate which and who would matter to you from those which should be sent to Mars for rehabilitation. The main thing that you must do is that you just got to keep it real. Show the world who you truly are and never let anything or anyone get in the way of you achieving your dreams. Whatever these people are saying, think of them as God's messengers to let you know of the things that you have to prepare for when the day comes that your dream and yourself are both ready to meet each other.

ALDUB has been a really good inspiration for many (including me). It tells more than just a story of love but also of dreams, hard work, patience and faith.

THAT GOD GIVEN THING

God Gave Me You, by Brian White, best represents the love story of ALDUB (the only love team I have ever been a fan of). I just think it is made perfectly for these two individuals, Maine Mendoza and Alden Richards, because they were brought about to each other to fulfill each other ultimate wishes. For Alden, he always wanted to be a successful actor for his beloved mom, and for Maine, she secretly wanted to be an actress though thought it would never be possible for her, but God really has His own ways of bringing people into our lives who would make a huge difference. For the lives of these two individuals, having each other just brought out the best in each of them and thus they’re life long wishes have come to a reality. For many it is fate (I also believe that) but for some it is nothing but a normal love team which would eventually fade out sooner or later; but for me, their love story and their individual stories have so many points to impart into the lives of many who have looked at them as an inspiration. 

Alden’s life has not been so easy. He didn’t really dreamt of becoming what he is now but he only did so for his love for his mother. And he, as we can see now, has succeeded at it and still dedicates his success to his mom who in the first place has pushed him to give this thing a shot. I see his life story as a proof that at a point in our lives, we would need that one person to help us take a huge leap of faith in order for us to be where God wants us to be; that we all have a place in this world where God has planned us to be. Life for him has been hard, losing an important person as his mother, may have stopped him from dreaming of becoming the actor that he never dreamt of becoming, but he took it as a promise for his mom that he would do just anything to keep that memory of her burning within him. And for that, Maine eventually came into his life (and to the life of all of us) who has given him the kind of boost in his starting career that has really helped him be the most sought after actor of today.

As for Maine, the secret ultimate dream of becoming an actress, the story of how fast the pace has been for her to become the Yaya Dub of most Filipino households, and her belief in the impossibility of her secret ultimate dream to come true is a whirl wind of a story to tell. She was never certain of what she really wanted for herself. She seemed to have lived life as it comes and make everyone around her happy through her famous wacky faces. A simple but super super special individual who never thought of making it big when her secret ultimate dream will come to her realization. Hers is a story of how God was able to ready her for the kind of surprise she never thought would be possible. She may not have the workshops and a solid talent to make her stand out but her simplicity and in-the-face this-is-me attitude makes her a true stand out. I believe most of us is just tired of all the pretty  pretty and nothing but pretty that wee see from all the actresses (not generalizing) that has been around that is why with Maine’s entry and her comic and regal ways, many of us just simply loved her. She stands for the kind of person who all of us should show the world, THE REAL US. I must say she is the epitome of being who one truly is, no pretensions, just MAINE (ME).

Many may think that this KalyeSerye is just one bit of a shit that the TV creates for the benefit of the viewers’ entertainment. But this one, I could say, is one that would stick in the hearts and minds of those who truly believes that this kind of love is possible, the kind of love that we, Filipinos, must aim for. No more of the fast paced courtship who brings mostly short-lived love affair (couldn’t say it a love story when it was not really made of love in the first place).  And as one of the first lessons that we had from this KalyeSerye, we must all wait for the Tamang Panahon. As Alden and Maine have waited for the right time for their dreams to come to a reality and a sure big hit success, patience, hard work, and faith are what we must keep in between. 

I’m just another fan who just wanted to put into writing the effect of ALDUB to me. I am truly grateful if ever so happens that you have paid  a little of your attention to this piece I tried to come up with. ALDUB YOU! :D Btw, Alden’s singing also made me cry. The kind of tears that is brought by seeing and hearing and feeling something so beautiful, sincere, and real. God has truly given them each other. Most of us may have to wait a little bit longer than ALDUB did, but rest assured that there is that one person who would come into our lives whom we would be able to dedicated this same song to.

Never too Late for a Dream

I never had a dream nor have I known how to dream. I just thought dreams are only for those who can afford to make them real. I never really knew what I wanted with my life. As a kid, when asked what I wanted to be when I grew up, no word could ever come out of my mouth to address that question. I always felt like I’m stuck. But not anymore, I am on my way of finding that dream worth chasing. Praying to God that He’ll drive me and make me ready for that day when it comes. People may say that it’s too late for me to dream, I say dreaming does not stop with age, it just grows and grows and drives you to continue living and finding your one true purpose why you are delivered here on Earth. So let’s keep going and dream on; for no dream is too big for a individual who has God and believes.

IBelieve

Many people believe in me, most of them are my friends who have actually seen me do things they think is improbable. But I don't know why I can't find that belief in me that others have found. They have told me to give myself some credit for the things that I can do. But I just couldn't. I could not find that confidence in me, especially because of obvious physical reasons. I just feel sorry for myself sometimes, for I know I can do it but I'm just letting the imperfections get to the best of me. I know that I can I just hope I'll be able to prove it to myself.
