Friends of the Israel Defense Forces (FIDF) is the only US nonprofit that has permission to raise funds for Israel's military personnel. Started in 1981, the organization looks after the welfare of soldiers, veterans, and families who have lost loved ones. FIDF asks people to support this mission in various ways.
FIDF runs over 25 chapters throughout the US, each one a hub where supporters can connect with local communities and support Israel's troops. Local chapters also host events, organize volunteer drives, and run fundraisers.
For a deeper connection, supporters can join an FIDF Mission. These guided trips allow individuals to travel alongside Israel's heroes. Participants get to visit IDF bases, meet top officials and dignitaries, and engage with Israeli Defense Forces soldiers.
