Alright, today's the day ya'll are gonna learn how to make proper Chai! (no not Chai tea latte bullshit. Ya'll are literally asking for tea tea latte, doesn't make sense!)

Listen up!

1. Fill your cooking pot 1.5 parts (measured by the cup you're serving in) of water.

2. Add a healthy pinch of grated ginger.

3. Take 3-4 cardamom cloves, break em open to get the seeds, crush them using a blunt object, like mortar and pestle (you can also grind in food processor) and add to pot. You can also just grind me up in a food processor, shell and all, and add it like that.

4. Add a tablespoon of black tea powder. Any Indian brand will work.

5. Bring the mix to a roaring boil.

6. Add milk until you get a slight clay pot color, or a darkish brown. Bring to a boil again.

7. Add sugar to taste.

8. Filter tea into a cup.

9. Aaaand voila, done! Serve with your favorite butter cookies/biscuit to dip in tea!

Important enough for me to officially change my residency from OH to NJ and take the absolute worst driver’s license picture I’ve ever taken. Seriously, no one is seeing this one unless they have to. I was talking to Mom the other day, and we were talking about how Dad would be watching the Lakers game with her, complaining that she was too loud (and probably waking him up) and should be quiet. I’d pointed out that he’d be cheering for LeBron, and not (as he called them) “those sorry old Lakers”. Ed Massey was definitely not a Lakers fan. We had a good laugh and talked about how we think about him all of the time. Woke up today and really wanted a proper breakfast. Almost every time I make breakfast food, I think of him, and how he always said I didn’t use enough grease in my eggs and that’s why they stuck to the pan ( he probably wasn’t wrong) and even though I didn’t make my eggs like he would’ve today, I was sort of in my feels And then I realized the last time I saw him alive in 2017 years was in the beginning of October, around the week of the 10th or so. Moved some things around yesterday and the bookshelf is closer to the corner. Which was fine. When I came home today, clipped the corner and knocked almost everything off of the top of said bookshelf. The Baldwin prayer candle took the most damage.
