kennedy: netflix + drugs DOES sound like a pretty good combo tbh :-\
kennedy: depending on the drug the #FOCUS part MIGHT be a little hard
kennedy: my friend will greatly appreciate it. ur a pretty good life coach if i do say so myself !!
josephine: yeah? yeah! that does sound like a pretty decent combo
josephine: okay, true. the #FOCUS thing might not work out depending on the factor of a possible drug, but. . . focusing probs wont be a main concern at that point
josephine: good, i'm glad i can help!! maybe i'll start a blog or smth lol

jgger:
His throat’s still a bit scratchy which explains the honey coated tea warming his hands. His voice is pitched even deeper than usual but Jagger knows its on the mend. He’s grateful for that, anyways – he’d had to go away on a road trip feeling like he’s felt for the past week. “Mediocre at best,” he rasps, taking a warm sip and reveling in the way it pleasantly scalds on the way down. “I think I’m finally starting to shake this cold, which is a positive. I’ve been out of commission when it comes to doing anything producitve for actual days.” Jagger groans, head shaking. “How’s Philip Icarus?”
“Well, that’s good.” She was glad to hear his day was alright, that the cold was finally leaving his system. Getting a cold was an uncommon occurrence for her but it was still something she hated. The ability to breathe through her nose was something she appreciated. Her allergies got pretty bad though in the springtime. “Philip Icarus?” There’s a small smile on her face. “He’s doin’ pretty good, actually! Healthier than I thought he’d be by now. I truly didn’t think he’d make it this long.”

dylanraleiigh:
Dylan was tired from another day of work but it was the good kind of tired, the kind of tired that reassured her that she had been productive that day with the busy shift that she had. She thought about going straight home but the decision was made easy by the fact that she walked by the bar on her way home and then it was pretty easy to allow herself to be tempted to have just one small drink before finally going home and relaxing on her own. “That’s good! I’m glad you had a great day,” Dylan said with a smile before taking a sip from her bottle. “It was… good! I mean, the restaurant was busier than usual so we had orders barked at us for the duration of my shift but it was good! Rewarding, and now… I’m pretty hungry, come to think of it.”
The bar was a place she had found herself going a little more often than she normally would. For the most part she always met someone decent to talk to and anything that kept her out of her apartment was good enough for her. Jo always liked having something to do. Her day could have been a little more productive, but when was the last time she just sat around for once? She couldn’t remember. “Order something, maybe? The bar food is alright, edible.” Jo let out a small laugh. “Where do ya work?”

“nope! she’s seven years old, i googled it just to be sure. i know right?! her parents must be really chill and not worry at all. she could drown crossing a lake or whatever, and they would have no idea. that stresses me out. i think so, yeah! he could’ve been eaten by a tiger or something, that’s just as bad — if not worse”.

“crazy!! seven? yeah, i don’t know how her parents can be so damn chill about all that, but whatever. i’m not gonna tell them how to raise a child. right, he could’ve been eaten! what’s worse than that? i don’t even want to know. it’s just bad. not like i’m gonna be down my kid’s throat all the time, but i definitely wouldn’t let them do all that.”

melaldcn:
mel takes a sip of her drink and listens to jo talk, “ah that’s good to hear” she gives the girl a smile. mel’s day was okay, she’d been working for most of it. she shouldn’t of been working but the other receptionist had called in ill, so mel had to cover her shift. “mine was alright, we had a really shitty client in today. who was super rude to everyone — for no reason”.
jo would often try to spend her days off doing something a little more productive, but often things wouldn’t turn out that way. it wasn’t something she made herself sick over. “every time i meet someone like that, rude for no reason or just all around horrible, it takes off a few years from my life. it really does.”

“really? i’m surprised we haven’t met before, then.” andre spoke. he at at the diner a lot, or rather, he ordered from there a lot. he’d often have brandon pick up the food and bring it back to the office, which was most likely the reason why he and josephine hadn’t met despite his frequent patronage to the establishment. maybe he’d make more of an effort to step inside and say hello next time. “and you? do you have any balance in your life? like, things you like to do for fun.”
“yeah, i feel like i hear that a lot.” and maybe that was her own fault! actually, that was definitely her own fault. she didn’t really go out and socialize, try to meet new people and make her face known. she just. . . lived. went to work, went back home, did her thing. she was good at talking to people and making friends, she just chose to keep herself from all of that. usually. “a balance? . . . i write music. that counts, right?”

“i can’t be the only one that finds dora the explorer a little bit weird, can i? i mean what kind of parents does she have? she’s seven years old and she’s allowed to go out exploring in the jungle on her own — that’s crazy. i can’t leave eloise on her own when i drop her off at nursery without her throwing a tantrum — i don’t think she’ll be exploring the local woods on her own when she’s seven”.
"i truly thought she was older than that. ten or maybe twelve. she's seven? yeah, i don't think i'd ever let my kid do all that at seven. not like i'd let 'em do any of that at twelve, either but . . . how do her parents not constantly worry about her? and, oh !! what about diego? he was about her age, too, right? and all those animals he encountered all the time? ridiculous."
