We should make a pact to not let that happen again. No more passing each other in the hallway, deal? Wine and dine me, you say? You're on, mate! I'll hold you to that. It was absolute heaven. I'm not sure about the tan, but I'm definitely sporting a few more freckles. The lush part might be a stretch, but I did manage to recharge my batteries. How about you? Is your head fully back to normal or you're still daydreaming about the trip?

the way we only managed to see each other in passing will end up being my villain origin story. i don't know where my head was at during the trip but i'm fully willing to make up for it now. whenever and wherever we happen to both be at next. i'll wine you and dine you as an apology. how was your trip? did you go back home tremendously tanned and lush?

I'm so glad you're back in the real world, but I'm not surprised you're still daydreaming about the trip. The water, yes! I know exactly what you mean. It's like it's seeped into our pores and we can't quite shake it off. And that mango, I'm salivating just thinking about it. You're speaking my language now. I'm clinging to this last bit of paradise, and I'm not ashamed to admit it. The thought of trading in my linen shirt for a suit is just too much to bear. Maybe all we need a second vacation, one to recover from our last one.

unfortunately i am checked back into real life. i have been thinking admit the trip from time to time but i am back to work. haha you know i don’t blame you, the trip was fantastic and emails from bed sounds like the better option than sulking. the water, i wish i could’ve brought the water back with me. i’m giggling because i did have a mango on wednesday.

Sometimes, no matter how much you try something just because someone recommends it, you'll never end up liking it. Forcing it can make you dislike it even more. But hey, if you did end up enjoying it, that's a win! It means you've got another hobby to add to your list. I try to remind myself of that too, especially when I'm tempted to come up with a half-hearted excuse, those usually end up sounding worse than just saying no. As for me, it was good! I caught up with both old and new friends and just enjoyed the time overall. I'm not back home just yet, I flew in for a press tour for my new movie, but it's been feeling good so far! They say there's no place like home, and I agree, even when you love being away too.

I've been told I need to do that more so I'm trying my best. Did that one too, it was pretty amazing seeing them up close. They're beautiful creatures. You shouldn't have to use an excuse. Don't feel like it? Just get out at some point and do your own thing. How was the entire trip for you? Glad to be back home? I'm definitely happy to be back in Boston. Not that I didn't like the trip, as it was nice to see people again that I hadn't seen in ages. But it's always good to be home.

I'd like to think we're good friends too! At least for me, you and Cyn have become a fundamental part of my life now, but maybe that was just me being parasocial. Even if we end up never working together ever again. I'm good! I'm back at work, doing things for Jurassic Park, and honestly, the Maldives felt like the perfect reset before things kicked off. I came back feeling refreshed and full of energy. What about you? Are you taking some time off or already wrapped up in something new? Thank you, thank you! I always know I can count on you when I need to clear my head and just have a good time. I guess daddy definitely carries worse connotations than mum, so it's a blessing you didn't end up calling someone random that! I wouldn't have minded rooming with just anyone, as long as they were fun but if they were easy on the eyes, all the better, right? I really loved having dinner with you, but truth be told, I just love being around you doing anything. You can talk as much as you want around me, your voice is like a lullaby. I could listen to you for hours and never get tired of it.

You know I'll always be around to boost your ego, right? That's what friends are for, and I like to believe we're pretty great friends! How are you doing now that you're back to reality? Yes, I was happy to scold you because we were there to have fun, not get lost in our heads, right? But I'll always be your official head-hitter, I'll always make sure you're having a good time and not getting lost in your own head! I would have laughed as well, but it's sweet that you wanted to get her a nice bottle of something. I thought it might be a little fun to call someone that, but I never called anyone "daddy" while on this trip, I behaved myself the whole time! And look at you getting roomed with a handsome lad, you can't really complain when you've got someone nice to look at, right? I'm glad that you were able to lose track of time and swim so much, that means you were relaxing, and that's what you should have been doing, right? And thank you for having dinner with me, as it was so good to get some time with you! Plus, I didn't talk your ear off too badly, right? But I can't help that I'm a gabber, especially when I'm around you!

In hindsight, we did have a long week. But we're greedy and want, more like need, more. I need a vacation from the vacation! Nah, I'm happy to be back at work. Doesn't really feel like a job since I'm spending time with some of my favorite people and talking about a character that I really loved playing so it's all good! Though I wouldn't say no to another trip there. I'm right there on that club, yeah! I think I should've used more sunscreen, but you only live once or whatever the saying was. I was thinking the same, I'm much more calmer more but also my batteries are fully charged for what was coming. And I also bought souvenirs, for my mum and my sisters as well, maybe too many. They better appreciate it. You can ask anytime! I would still answer the same thing: no secrets at all, my friend. I've got an incredibly flexible back, childhood gymnastics and all, which came in handy for executing flawless backflips.

i know exactly what you're talking about. when i was packing up, i was like 'shit it feels like i just got here' but then another moment i was thinking how long it seemed, too. agreed - even with doing the activities, things still felt pretty chill. there's something about that place, i swear. it's different. are you part of the weird tan line club, too? besides that, i'm definitely bringing back a little bit of a calmer vibe which is much needed and maybe i got one (or two) of those stupid souvenirs from the gift shop, too. thinking back, i really wish we had gone with stealing the snacks. those would have hit good on the trip back. also, major regrets that i didn't ask you to spill some secrets behind all those moves in 'dancing through life.'

I'm glad you're excited to go back to work! Having a little family at work is the best, makes everything feel less like a job and more like coming home. I'm the same with my Bridgerton family, honestly. They're like my siblings and mother for real, and being back on that set always brings me so much comfort. They never gave me a real response, but I like to believe they heard everything I said. For a while, it made me feel a little less alone, like someone was listening. And yes, I'd do it all over again too, no questions asked. We didn't have nearly enough time to see everyone and do everything we wanted to, which clearly means we need another vacation. Soon. I've been doing press for Jurassic World lately and honestly? I'm loving every second of it. Seems like my batteries really did get recharged because I've got so much energy and excitement right now.

As much as I am going to be kicking and screaming to go back to London for work, I am actually excited about it cause the cast and crew of Masters of the Universe has been so fun to work with. Nick, myself, Idris, Jared, Alison, and the rest of the cast have become a second family who I will miss once we wrap the movie. Wait so that was you talking to the turtles earlier in the week? I thought I was seeing things when I saw it and in no way do I blame you for conversing with them. I have to ask, did they say anything back to you? Yeah I know how you feel, it went by way too fast for me and I wish I could rewind time so we can do it all over again. No I am going to be packing at the last minute trying to convince my costar we can stay a few more days even though I know he will not budge even for me. So what is next for you once we leave here?

Oh, darling, you're too kind! I'm blushing over here! I mean, thank you, thank you, I'm just trying to do what I love, and that happens to be thing after another thing. I don't really know if I'm a workaholic, I do try to take breaks when I can. It's not always easy, of course, but I think it's essential to recharge those batteries. I mean, I'm not sure I'd survive otherwise! Though I have filmed two projects back to back before, so yeah, workaholic tendencies, maybe a little bit. What are you working on right now? I need to know what next movie I'm gonna obsess over!

Wicked, Bridgerton and now this new Jurassic World, you're all over and I love it. I loved everything I see you in and you rock a camera well. So now I need to know, do you ever take a breather or are you apart of the workaholics club with the rest of us? || @jcnathanbailey

I miss you too, little man! Thank you so much, love! I'm excited for you and everyone else to see it. My character is like Ross from Friends, a paleontologist, maybe not the most interesting at first but I promise it's a fun one. I've always been such a huge fan of the franchise so getting to be in this massive film is one of those dreams come true. Good! We're currently doing the press tour for it so you bet I need some sleep, but still good! How about you? How's it going for you? I've heard you guys are filming the Heartstopper movie, or wrapped it already, can't recall!

One, I miss you just a little. And two, I'm so excited to see Jurassic World Rebirth, it looks like it's going to be so good, and I'm excited to see the roles that you play. Cyyn, you're speaking straight to my soul! It was absolute heaven, and I'm so glad we got to share some of it together. But I agree that it wasn't nearly enough time. We should plan a proper hangout sesh soon, maybe a weekend getaway or something? Let's just say I might've had a few too many cocktails on the beach at sunset… but it was nice all around! But I didn't get into any trouble, so there isn't anything to gossip about. And what about you? Anything you want to tell me that went down in the Maldives?

I know I just got to spend time with you while we were in the Maldives, but that seriously wasn't enough time for me. Was it for you? I feel like we need to set aside some time soon when we can meet and hang out again. What do you think? Also, did you end up having a good time on the trip? Have a lot of fun? Get into any good trouble that you want to gossip with me about? Because I want to hear about it all, love. Thanks for the support! Yeah, it's always nice to walk away from an adventure in one piece. I'm with you on hoping the next trip allows for more relaxation time, maybe I'll even get to enjoy the beach without a tan line or two. I'm actually headed back home. Guess it's time to return to reality. I hope the tan line will fade, and if not, guess we can always use make up to cover it!

I totally get it. I was feeling the same way about leaving – it was like my mind was already missing the place even before we'd left. And packing? Forget about it, I was putting it off till the last minute too. I'm glad you're looking on the bright side with some good things coming up, though. I'm sure we'll both be back soon. Even if that kayak and stolen fruit basket plan was just a joke (for legal purposes) I definitely wanted to stay and I hope to return soon. If I had a kayak stashed away, I'd definitely want you as my partner in crime. How are you settling back into the routine?

you're not alone. i might already be seeing when i could possibly come back. don't even talk to me about packing because we don't know her right now. that'll be a last minute problem tomorrow morning. part of me is at peace with things though since i've got some good things coming up but like i said, this will definitely be a spot i return to hopefully in the near future. if you've got a kayak stole already and need a partner in crime though, count me in.

I completely agree, time flew by, and it's hard to believe our trip has come to an end. For me, one of the standout moments was watching the sunset over the water; it was truly breathtaking. I love that sense of peace and tranquility. I loved your idea of people-watching on the beach, it was fascinating to see everyone enjoying themselves. As for our final swim down the beach, I'm so glad we did that. It was the perfect way to cap off our trip. Now that I'm back home, I have this feeling of homesickness for a place I only spent like a week in.

yes!! i can't believe how fast it has gone, i feel so sad about leaving. honestly, just sitting by the beach and people watching. i could not believe how beautiful it was and watching everyone just enjoy it? it felt like a movie. what abut you? what is your stand out? i would love to go for a final swim down the beach with you, let's do it.

I'm chuckling thunking about your closet-hermit plan. I can just imagine you snuggled up in that massive villa closet. I'm sure the villa staff would have been confused if they couldn't find you, but I'm pretty sure they'd eventually send out a search party. Looking back, it's hard to believe our trip to the Maldives has come to an end. I'm glad we made the most of our time there, and I'm still reminiscing about the good times we had. If I'm being honest, I was torn between planning something unforgettable for our last day and just relaxing on the beach like a hermit. Now that we're back home, it's surreal to think about how quickly our trip came to an end. I'm sure your friends and family would have noticed if you didn't show up, and I wouldn't have mind testing that theory for the funsies.

I can't believe it's almost over. Part of me wants to hide and just stay here, you know? I'm kind of someone who eases back in gently, though I'm curious now about being the kind of person that rips the Band-Aid. What's that like, I wonder? But honestly, spending tomorrow doing something unforgettable sounds like something right up my alley! But I also love the idea of being a hermit on the beach, so you're making me think about what I'd like to do. But also, hiding in my closet and missing my flight also sounds like a solid plan. The closet is so big in the villa I can live there. How many people do you think would miss me, though?

I'm still reeling from our time on that enchanting island. You were absolutely right, our little world there felt more real than what we left behind. I must admit, the thought of eloping to the sandbar was tempting, and I rather liked the idea of us being busy with Sir Waddles' daily coconut delivery. I do wish we could've stayed longer, but I'm grateful for the time we had together. If you want to come back, let me make a few calls, I need the call of the seagulls more than I need my alarm in the morning.

okay, you just made me weak in the knees with that “forever” bit — are we… eloping to the sandbar now? eloping is such a wild word, though, damn. but honestly, you’re so right. there’s something about this place — and this little world we’ve made here — that feels more real than all the chaos we left back home. alarms, emails… pff, please, we’ll be busy organizing sir waddles’ daily coconut delivery. so it’s settled then. we stay. we let the rest of the world spin without us for a while.
