Wanted to say that stuff has been calming down and people were acting actually nice for a change. I loved the Ateş-Yaman-Okan brother dynamics and Feraye-Hazal dynamics.

Only for those fuckers to ruin it again. I don't understand Yaman in the first place but also everyone else, Okan, Feraye...

I mean Feraye is just dumb and naive af, I guess I could forgive her dumbness in the long run. She's just weak and let stuff happen to her and cry all the time. But again I guess I could forgive her in the long run...

But Yaman and Okan? After the scene when they were so nice to each other with Ateş and a couple days later they abandon their brother and say they're not brothers anymore (because they're only half brothers by blood which their mother was hiding in front of everyone, how is it Ateş's fault?). Yaman is abusive towards literally everyone else, just huge asshole! I can't stand him truly.... Just abusive asshole...

I didn't expect anything nice from Yaman, but Okan disappointed me. He took side of abusive Yaman and abandoned Ateş and I will not forgive this. He's proven unredeemable just as much as Yaman.

I think instead of Feraye and Yaman the focus of the whole series should have been on Ateş. It's barely romantic series anyways, it's more drama, so it could be as well centered around Ateş. He's literally the best character of them all and I would rather watch him making sense of everyone around him being selfish liers and finding peace and new life for himself much than the toxic abusive Feraye-Yaman relationship...

I was so looking forward to the marriage of convenience to lovers trope in Safir (Turkish drama) but they made the female MC such an pathetically weak character who keeps on running back to her abusive ex and can’t even stand up for herself. Her ex who literally ripped her mother’s wedding dress right in front of her. Who tackled her to the ground and pinned her down like???? WHAT??? Why do you keep running back to him??? It’s so annoying. The writing is horrible. And she has such good support system, her best friend who unconditionally supports her. And still???

Clear resolve - her first love wanted to run away but she wont do that to Ates, he's always come through for her and she wont leave him

subtitles should say "he" but whatever she trusts Ates

There was so much potential with atfer. But I think I can't keep up with so many toxic characters. I hate them. I hate Okan, Camile, Ömer, Gülfem, all the mafia guys... I hate them all but most importantly I hate Yaman. I think I've never seen such a toxic character that would be so cruel to someone he supposedly "loves" and it's so sickening they will end up together. What he does to her is often straight illegal and I think I can't stomach it. The wedding dress scene was so heartbreaking... I was so sad... Sad and angry. I just hate Yaman no need to get worked up on it more than necessary. I genuinely think it could be good educational material how to spot domestic violence and emotional (and physical) abuse. Because Yaman is just that, abusive.

Only morally uncorrupted character is Ateş. Only character I genuinely love is Ateş.

I like Hazal, but I would love her more if she would be honest to Ateş and told him everything if Feraye can't and won't.

I mean I could probably keep up with all those awful characters if atfer ended happily together as they should have but with the knowing that they won't I don't think I can keep up with this dizi....
