so if y’all don’t know I’m a bit of a history buff and I mainly read about ww2. I came across this image of freckle in a US uniform (drawn by Tracy) and I noticed something neat about his rank
If you look close you can see that freckle is a staff sergeant!! Judging by the MG42 he’s holding he is likely on the European front of the war. It also means that this man would likely be leading troops on the beaches of Normandy AND through France!!!!
It’s curious on how Tracy would draw him with this rank. Imagine being led into combat by this man….

I’m probably not going to be posting/draw any Lackadaisy stuff tomorrow.
I just got done trying to fix these wobbly legs on a coffee table I’m building and I got so tired of it I eventually just gave up and took them off. Going to haft to make new table legs tomorrow. Sorry, I’ll try to make some time later this week to post.

actual interaction I had today with another Lackadaisy fan
Some context: I was at barns and nobles today when I see a girl who looked to be my age holding one of the Lackadaisy comic books
me: oh your a fan of lackadaisy?
girl: (face lights up) yes! You’re a fan too?
Me: yup…. personally I like the aesthetic about it. What do you like most about lackadaisy?
girl: Rocky….
Me: oh…. So you like the characters?
girl: no, just Rocky….
Me: Rocky? Why?
girl: I just think he’s cute…. (She continues to rant about Rocky)
Me: (nods my head not really paying attention with the occasional “Yup”)
Me: (mid conversation) oh hey, I have to go….
girl: are you sure?
me: yeah….. my mom is leaving…..
girl: (she now looks sad) oh…..ok, bye
That was the end of the interaction. Looking back on it I honestly felt I was a little hard on her…. I hope I didn’t come off as too mean
