A Message from 2024 You
Life isn't that hard for this year, not to invalidate your hardships, you successfully surpass all of it with ease (that's a lie). Honestly, you did not meet a lot of people because you're still the goddam shy and aloof kid. I hope you finally conquer that problem of yours, well we'd get to that but now, I just want to share what I feel right now. Unlike the other year, I am vividly sure that I'm going to take another year of senior high, go to bed every afternoon, develop anxiety with major teachers, contemplate if I spend my money on recess or buy lumpiang gulay in the afternoon instead, bashing evil boys at the back, raising a hand despite not knowing the correct answer, data gathering with friends every break, hang out with friends after classes wherein most of the time half of your friends were missing, eating silently while your majors discussing things that you never understand, laughing when you caught one of your classmates nearly spouting their eyeballs just to get the answers from their ignorant seatmate, getting frustrated with your friends because of their frequent quarrels that happen every fucking week, the communication breakdown with peers and their manipulative guilt-tripping. Every single thing that takes part of your ordinary yet probably one of the happiest moments of your youth.
But now, I can't think what is certain anymore.
I have no idea what will happen to the 2025- hopefully less idiotic version of me. I'm going to enter college which they say is the biggest turning point of your life. I want to share my grief with you because your present self that will soon be your past self is already making big decisions that will literally determine what part of your future will look like (not entirely all but this decision holds a big impact lol.) HAHAHA, I'm overthinking again even with the fact that I'm not completely certain if I exist in the future I'm so anxious about.
I want you to know that I'm still not proud of you yet because I know you can do more large things. Hahaha, why do I feel like I'm downing you haha? You don't have the right to be mad, it's your fault for being like this jk. It's true and it's not a good trait that you have but it is you. That is a part of you.
I'm going to enjoy my remaining time with my friends and family, of course, I'm not exactly going to leave or anything. Things were just going to change, of course, I'm ain't ready yet but I think no one's probably ready enough.
Please, I know you probably get CRINGE with this message but at least I'm able to express my thoughts (I'm overreacting but I can't help not telling it)
To my present self, it's okay to fear the uncertainty but that doesn't mean that you will also stop moving forward.

The Impending Destruction of the Philippine Sea
The Philippine Archipelago is surrounded by a vast body of water that is rich with various minerals, pristine coral reefs, and diverse marine animals. The position of the Philippines directed to the equator helps to produce rich and prolific oceans. Coincide with these numerous resources, the progression growth of humanity, and the increasing population. Hence, the demand for resources heightened to conquer the problems created by the people. The marine ecosystem faces a great deal of dilemmas, struggling to sustain the needs of the people living on earth.

In Atom Araullo's "Philippine Seas" documentary, he highlighted the alarming condition of the fisheries in Saranggani General Santos. He discovered the decreasing population size of Tuna fish witnessed by the Filipino fishermen who took 4-10 days and traveled 6-10 hours just to get a single tuna fish. One of the reasons behind this phenomenon is the ample number of fishermen gathered in the same area, showing the less capturing spots in the ocean. Around the year 2010 to 2017, 21,000 wildlife were confiscated, the poached fish were primarily sharks because of the immense demand of their fins in foreign countries. The Coron Palawan recorded high statistics of illegal poacher that ruins the living organisms below the sea. However, they are not the only ones who harm the environment, localities are no exception because most of them use illegal ways such as dynamite fishing, use of cyanides, etc. It contributes to the destruction of coral reefs, and polluted water, which if we look in the long run, everyone was subjected to this irreversible damage.

To sum up, uncontrolled and unlawful fishing causes a wide-range impact on marine wildlife. The expansion of the human population and their extensive needs is the root and top reason for this instance. It is essential that we acknowledge the importance of our ocean resources and their role in producing food and keeping us alive. Overusing and the irresponsible management of the ocean profusion might result in irredeemable consequences that soon knock us.
