have some more eddiejosh bc that's all I'm working on at the moment:
âIâm sorry.â âFor what?â âCrying all over you like this. Last time I was here I was a lot smoother.â A hand trails from his back to his side, and Eddie jolts at being poked as Josh asks, âWere you? I remember you telling me about therapy.â Eddie softly laughs. âYeah, okay thatâs a good point.â Joshâs arms around him squeeze gently before a nose nuzzles into his hair. Eddie closes his eyes and inhales Joshâs clean-skin-and-bodywash scent, warm and comforted in a way he hasnât been in a long, long time. Suddenly exhaustion crashes over Eddie, and even his bones feel tired. âIâm gonna fall asleep,â he warns, slipping an arm around Joshâs waist. âThatâs okay sweetheart, you had a really heavy day.â Â âBut we were sâposed to watch trash tv together.â âGo to sleep, Real Housewives of LA will still be there when you wake up.â

eddie is settled in el paso, getting groceries for his abuela when he sees josh russo of all people in the soda aisle.
he pushes his cart down the aisle he doesnât need anything from and asks, âjosh? youâre in el paso?â
josh startles and turns to look at him, blinks, and then says, âoh my god what are you doing here?â
âgetting stuff for my abuela,â eddie gestures at his half-full cart with the hand thatâs holding her list, âand you?â
âfamily.â josh rolls his eyes before continuing, âthey were on my ass about me not visiting for thanksgiving so i told them iâd figure something out for christmas.â
âhuh. well. if you need a break from them, let me give you my number -â
âi still have it, donât worry,â josh waves him off.
eddie squints at him. âyou do?â
âyeah. maybe iâll text you. having some sane adult company would be nice.â
eddie laughs, josh flashes a dimple, and they go their separate ways. for now.

eddie and josh faux-enemies with benefits that slowly transition into half bitchy, half soft friends with benefits. and one night when theyâre together, eddie uses one of his insanely rizzless lines on josh to âset the moodâ and âspice things upâ and joshâs expression immediately goes blank. and eddie, head in hands, utterly disappointed in himself, mumbles out a dejected, âiâm sorry, that was terrible. iâm not very good at this sort of thing, i donât even know why i tired.â to which josh replies, âyeah, it was terrible. unfortunately, or fortunately, iâve never wanted to fuck you more. now take your clothes off.â and then they both proceed to have the best orgasms of their entire lives.

no one look at me i just thought about josh always being kind of ambivalent towards the idea of wanting kids, but loving the ones he has in his life through nieces and nephews etc. and then he starts dating eddie, and chris comes back, and josh gets to know him and is delighted by him. and itâs a little weird and tough figuring it out at first, how he fits in with eddie and chris as a family. but he gets there. he and chris have a relationship that is built on primarily teasing eddie together but also lots of respect. josh treats chris like the teenager he is, but leaves the actual parenting to eddie unless chris seeks him out on purpose. and whenever chris does, it really means a lot to josh.

i can't remember the name and can't be bothered to ask!
come be sad with me over this still-untilted eddiejosh snippet:
The fire spread alarmingly fast, and they raced to get the family to safety and put the fire out, but they couldnât save everyone. The ride back to the firehouse is silent and heavy. Everyone has their own way of dealing with losses like this, and Eddieâs old method was to go to his dorm and call or text Chris, just check in to see how his day was going and remind himself that he has something to hang on to. His heart aches when he instinctively gets his phone out of his pocket. Even though his texts to Chris have been unanswered all summer, Eddie still canât shake the habit. Hey kiddo, hope youâre doing well. Just got back from a rough call. I miss you and love you. Eddie lays back in his bed, pushing his wet hair off his forehead as he stares at the ceiling. Their shift is over in two hours â provided they donât go out on any more calls, and beyond therapy and doing some chores, Eddieâs looking at four days off in a row with no idea what to do to fill that time. His phone vibrates where it lays near his hip, and Eddie picks it up, heart soaring at the idea that Chris responded, but blinking in surprise when he sees Joshâs name on the lock screen. He unlocks his phone and swipes into his messaging app. Howâd the call go? Everything go smoothly? Eddie sighs and texts back. We lost one of the kids. The bubbles that signify an incoming response dance across his screen before stopping. Heâs about to put his phone back down before they move again. Iâm so sorry Eddie, thatâs so heavy. Despite wanting to mope, Eddie finds himself texting back. When Josh sends a second text asking what happened, Eddie replies with a play-by-play of the call. As they talk, Eddie realizes heâs seeing the side of Josh that must be what other people get to see. The side of him thatâs empathetic and wise. It does a lot to lift Eddieâs mood.

the darkest night never felt so bright with you by my side a fic by @thefootnotes for @flufftober
Bobby hadnât really expected Eddie to open up so easily; itâs a testament to how comfortable he is with his captain that he felt willing to immediately slip Christopherâs name into conversation, to allow that to open into something else. The last thing that Bobby wants to do is push Eddie to talk about things heâs not ready to discuss, but heâs noticed that Eddie has a habit of pulling away from uncomfortable conversations, and heâll bottle his feelings until it bursts. Thatâs how he ended up mixed up with an illegal boxing tournament, and that was a conversation Bobby doesnât want to have again.
Or the one where Eddieâs struggling against it all, Bobby offers the best experience he can, and a family is built by love.

okay okay. if weâre going canon compliant here:
one of the first things eddie does for therapy homework is sign up for a cooking class.
heâs got a few tried and true recipes from bobby and linda, but this class is teaching recipes heâs never had the confidence to tackle on his own. something like making fresh pasta from scratch and a fancy tomato sauce, idk.
being in the class gets him out of his comfort zone, around new people, and trying something just because he wants to.
so of course the excitement wanes as soon as he walks in and sees josh russo is the instructor.
now if we went with an AU:
eddie walks in to his cooking class and does not vibe with the instructor despite everyone else saying heâs so cool and funny eddie, how do you not like josh?
turns out itâs because eddie has a crush and he doesnât figure it out until josh corrects his dough folding technique and stands so close.

happy halloween bucktommy and jeddie fans!!!
Halloween | Bucktommy & Eddiejosh
Buck, Tommy, Eddie and Josh find themselves on Maddie and Chimney's porch early on Halloween evening. By some miracle all of them have the night off. Each had either a huge bag of candy or alcohol.
The plan is to eat dinner with the Hans and while Maddie and Chimney take Jee trick or treating and the guys would sit in the driveway on candy duty.
This is the first time Buck and Tommy have been able to see Josh and Eddie actually together ever since Eddie nervously revealed they were dating.
**
âSo uh, I have something to tell you,â Eddie started.
âSure thing, Eds. You know we're always going to be here for you right?â Buck reassured as he grabbed Tommy's hand and squeezed. Tommy gave him a nod.
âWell, I've started dating someone?â
âIt's not Kim, is it?â Buck said wearily. âI'm sure she's great but I just don't know if thats that heal-â
âBuck. It's not Kim. It's um, someone you already know.â
Buck and Tommy looked at him expectantly.
âIt's Josh,â Eddie mumbled.
âWho?â Both Tommy and Buck said simultaneously.
âJosh?â Eddie said again with worry in his eyes.
âOh! You're dating Josh!?â Buck all but shouted and Tommy gave Eddie a look that's a cross between an apology and sympathy.
âThat's great, man,â Tommy smiled. âHappy for you.â
âYeah, I'm dating Josh. Is that okay?â Eddie was a lot more nervous now.
Buck got up and pulled his best friend into a crushing hug. âOf course. Just surprising. I never thought you'd swing that way. As long as you're happy, I'm happy. Josh is great. He will definitely keep you in check.â
âOh he does,â Eddie chuckled with a fond smile and a slight blush to his cheeks.
**
âHey honey! The gangs all here!â Chimney shouts behind him as he opens the door. He's dressed as a dalmatian, which gets some light teasing from the guys. âYeah yeah laugh it up, wait till you have a four year old who dictates your costume.â
Chimney takes in all of their costumes; Tommy as Captain America, Buck as the Winter soldier, Eddie as Wolverine, and Josh as Deadpool. âI'm sensing a theme here.â
Eddie, Josh, and Tommy all point at Buck and say in unison, âhis idea.â
Buck puts his hands up in defense, âsorry for coming up with great costumes.â
**
Buck walked in to Tommy fussing with his hair in the mirror. He's wearing the more tactical version of the Cap costume with navy blue flight pants with bulky pockets and his old work boots. Buck looks appreciatively and walked up to Tommy.
âSpin around,â Buck told him with a smirk. Tommy raised an eyebrow and slowly turned in a circle. âMhmm that is Americaâs ass.â
Tommy laughed and shook his head but kissed his ridiculous boyfriend's lips.
Buck himself looked great himself - a thrifted strappy black leather jacket with the left arm taken off. He got a skin tight sleeve with the metal arm design. He paired it with black fingerless gloves and similar black pants and boots to Tommy's.
âWhy these costumes again?â Tommy asked as he put on brown fingerless gloves.
âBabe,â Buck said and rolled his eyes. âBuck - Bucky? Come on, it's perfect. Also Bucky is badass and you can't tell me he and Steve haven't fucked.â
âOh right,â Tommy said sarcastically.
**
Eddie zipped up the front of the yellow and navy hard plated vest. Josh found him some gloves with the claws coming out. âThereâs a great costume shop in West Hollywood.â Josh informed him.
Once Buck came up with superheroes he clyng to the idea of wolverine since it reminded him of Christopher and he was missing him more than ever.
âAmazing! I'll go as Deadpool,â Josh declared and Eddie laughed at the enthusiasm. He and Josh only started officially dating about a month before Halloween and he didn't get why Deadpool and Wolverine âwere the perfect couples costumeâ. He's never been one for superhero movies anyway.
Josh whistled as soon as he saw Eddie. He stood behind Eddie and squeezed his biceps. âI have the best ideas,â Josh smiled and kissed Eddie's bare shoulder. He caught Eddie's solemn look in the mirror.
âHey, what's the sad face?â Josh said and met his eyes in the mirror.
âNothing, it's just Christopher loves Wolverine, I just feel guilty about doing Halloween without him, you know?â
With a sigh and not much in experience of having an estranged kid, Josh stayed silent for a moment. He rubbed his hands up and down Eddie's arms, hoping the contact would provide some comfort.
âI think Christopher would just want to know his dad is happy and content.â
Eddie smiled and nodded. He caught Josh's hands and pulled him forward to close the gap between their mouths. They got lost in the kiss for a minute. âThank you, baby. Let's go, gonna be late.â He pulled Josh out the door after him.
**
Maddie ordered a ridiculous amount of pizza and was opening the wine as the guys walked into the kitchen. They all took turns greeting Maddie with various hugs and kisses to her cheek.
âWhere's Jee?â Buck asks.
âHere, Uncle Buck!â Jeeâs high pitched voice broke through the voices. Buck turns around and Jee is running up to him in her Bluey costume. He catches her and swings her up above his head while her giggles break the sound barrier.
âAren't there other characters on Bluey?â Buck says, taking on Maddie's relatively normal looking dog costume.
Maddie puts her hands up, âJee was the only one who could be Bluey. We have to be âboring dogsâ.â Chimney walks in and shrugs along with Maddie.
âYou guys, hungry? Too bad Maddie didn't get enough pizza,â Chim laughs pointing to the six boxes of pizza.
They settle around the dining table. They all make casual conversation while they eat pizza and drink lightly. Jee is on Chims lap wiggling impatiently. âDaddy, is it time for candy?â
âIn a bit, baby, gotta eat dinner first.â
Buck watches Eddie and Josh. He sees the shy glances and fond smiles. The newness is very much there, but they are becoming more familiar. Buck can tell in the way Josh picks off the jalapenos on his pizza and puts them on Eddie's plate and Eddie takes a sip of Josh's wine to taste and makes a face. He's never seen Eddie so at ease with someone. Eddie always seemed so stiff around his previous girlfriends, but with Josh none of that stiffness is there.
An hour later finds the four guys sitting around a small table with a bowl of candy in the driveway in camping chairs. Tommy and Buck are sitting as close as possible and same with Eddie and Josh.
Buck is the one to enthusiastically complement each and every kidâs costumes; giving high fives and huge smiles. Tommy is struck once again with how much he loves Buck. He catches Buck's eyes as the current group of kids leave.
âWhat?â Bucks asks suspiciously.
âNothing, you are just so good with kids. You're incredible,â Tommy replies and kisses Buck's cheek. Buck ducks his head and blushes at that.
Eddie also compliments all the kids, but there's an underlying sadness to it. Josh catches the pinch of Eddie's mouth and grabs his hand and doesn't let go. Eddie gives him a grateful smile.
âWere we like that?â Tommy whispers to Buck, nodding over to Eddie and Josh. They are lost in each other; no one else in the world. Josh says something with animated hand gestures and Eddie throws his head back with a laugh.
âI think we're still like that,â Buck says and looks at Tommy with sparkling eyes.
Tommy lifts Buck's hand to his lips, âhope that never ends, baby.â
âI know it's early, but I think Josh may be his person,â Buck says.
âHe definitely fits in,â Tommy muses.
About 15 minutes later, Maddie and Chimney are walking up.
âBack so early? I was expecting two hours at least,â Eddie says. âChristopher always wanted to stay out as long as possible,â he tells Josh.
âA scarecrow on a porch scared her and she wanted to come back,â Chim explains as he rubs Jeeâs back apologetically. When he put her down she seemed to have recovered and proceeded to go to each of the men sitting down to trick or treat from them individually.
Tommy gets the hint, grabs the candy bowl and gives her a few pieces and hands the bowl to Buck and then it's passed to Josh and finally Eddie.
Jee unceremoniously dumped her bucket with Maddie and runs over to Tommy. He bends down and scoops her into his lap. He tickles her sides lightly as she bops the star on his chest. Maddie and Chim join them with their own chairs on the drive.
They sit there all chatting and laughing, enjoying each other's company on the cool Halloween evening. Jee had promptly fallen asleep curled up in Tommy's lap; most of her weight is supported by his arm.
At the end of the night when the neighborhood quieted down and most of the houses went dark, Tommy carried Jee to bed.
After they packed up the chairs and walking out, Maddie bumped Chimney to bring his attention to the couple in front of them. Eddie has an arm around Josh's shoulder as Josh yawns into Eddie's neck and leans into the kiss planted on his temple. Maddie and Chim share a sweet knowing smile. They remember the beginning of their relationship - everything feeling so novel and grand.
She catches Joshâs eye as he gets in the passenger seat of Eddie's truck and gives him a big smile and blows him a kiss.
When Eddie and Josh drop off Buck and Tommy, Buck claps Josh on the shoulder. âLater, man. Eddie's a handful, take care of him, okay?â
âWill do,â Josh squeezes Buck's hand back and winks at Eddie. Tommy and Buck miss the fond and exasperated look Eddie gives Josh before he leans over and plants a sloppy kiss to his cheek.
